”Run Free is an alternate universe MMM shifter novel, with fated mates, mpreg, an age-gap relationship, and a happy ending.”

This sums up everything I love!

Always on the run, stealing for food, sometimes a dirty job, and finding a place to sleep.
That’s what Jax and Hugo been doing the last seven years. Jax is an omega and Hugo a human they love each. Hugo helps Jax through his heats and knows he’ll never be enough. Not in Jax's eyes, Hugo is his mate and he loves him.

One day, when they were on a run again, Jax collides with a big strong alpha. All three felt the connection, but they have to run further.
Dominic can’t believe he collided with his mates and... let them go.
When they meet again under difficult circumstances they can’t deny their fate again.
Big changes are needed and a lot of awful traveling to get them to their final destination.

A protective wolf, a playful fox, and a loving and caring human. It’s a sweet sexy story, with a nice dynamic, the mating was wonderfully written. The destination was beautiful, their journey eventful.
Overall an enjoyable read.

Intense emotional/romantic but zero sexual connection between two of three fated mates

Since two of the characters are 100% tops, each won’t let the other screw them even though they’d like to. Inexplicably they therefore end up not having any sexual relationship at all (even outside of penetrative intercourse), even though they basically are two fated mates who develop a decently intense romantic relationship. For me, this came across as a rather warped view of romance between “alpha” male characters who are supposedly fully mated.

From my view, this has some significant characteristics of a traditional MFM romance (or, in this case Alpha-Omega-Alpha), a poly menage where the men (Alpha/tops in this case) are friendly but not physically intimate rather than a fully interactive MMM triad menage. However, despite the lack of sexual intimacy, there is supposed to be a full threeway mating, and romantic, emotional, and basic physical (but not sexual) intimacy is clearly present (yielding a wonderful relationship tale with really, really warped sexuality).

(To use current lingo - are the two “tops” Biromantic but omegasexual? Biromantic but bottomsexual only? They refuse to be sexual with another top or alpha they love and are mated to?)

It was very hard for me to rate this book. In many ways, some aspects are almost a personal five star experience as the story explores in an interesting and compelling manner a number of my favorite fluffy romance tropes rarely combined, including:

- Alpha / Omega (with an omegaverse flavor)
- menage (theoretically a full triad, but lacking in an important way)
- human / shifter pairing (mates / true mates?)
- instant/fated/true mate
- alpha / omega / other (beta or human) triad

The blurb discusses an established long term partnership, romance, and love between Jax the omega and his human lover Hugo. Upon meeting the alpha Dominic, all struggle to cope and handle a brand new instant/fated mate connection while the pair are desperate for the alpha’s legal and physical protection. Using the heat/rut/slick/knotting trope, the connection between shifter alpha and omega is intense, fated, and almost physically necessary for Jax, despite the human Hugo being his long time true mate and love. The subsequent relationship exploration and negotiation among the three, including a mate pull between Dominic and Hugo, was overall interesting. The exploration of a “third one out” theme in a threeway or fated connection can often be missing or poorly examined in menage and/or shifter-human relationship books. The extra vulnerability displayed by Hugo due to his lack of physical alpha shifter attributes needed to fully satisfy/satiate an omega shifter was a nice touch.

It was clear the mate pull between Dominic and Hugo existed and their budding romance indicated it was a full triad (throuple?). However, apart from kissing and one comment about making love in the future, it ppeared to be the omega/bottom having separate sexual relations with each top (paralleling MFM). There was no sexual interaction (in the book) between the “tops.” I am personally not a fan of menage trios where a woman has two lovers but the two men are only friendly and not romantically and physically involved (MFM), but I know they're popular. I haven't seen this in MMM books but there certainly are real life poly relationships where a menage isn't a full throuple (and two of the three might just be friends). Thing is, I never thought I’d read a story where true mates were full romantic partners, and even somewhat physically intimate (kissing, hugging, possible cuddling), but with no fully sexual (release or similar direct stimulation/physical love) connection between them.

It was clearly stated both Dominic and Hugo were alphas of the 100% top type, so they would never penetrate each other, despite being fated mates. While not my preferred or favorite pairing, there are plenty of ways for men to be sexual lovers without penetration. While the book isn’t overly heavy on explicit sizzle, it certainly covers Alpha/Omega slick and rutting, knotting, and heat. Hugo and Dominic only kiss, hug, and cuddle (and have one joint dp of the omega). In the real world, plenty of (the relatively rare) men who are 100% tops and are with each other are lovers in plenty of other ways (indeed actually most man-on-man sex isn’t penetrative intercourse). After declaring two fated mates to be 100% tops and then describing no physical sexual relationship between them (but they romantically proclaim their love), it’s like discarding the physical possibilities of most typical man-on-man sex either doesn’t exist, it’s not worth writing about, or alphas can physically love a “male” omega but not a “male” alpha (or alpha-ish human) in any way.

MFM menage romances (as opposed to full threeway MMF) always struck me as being wonderfully fun, kinky, and pleasure-focused for the woman, but steered clear of any hint of heteroflexible queer (bi or male / male) sexuality - physically or romantically (often making them of much more limited or interest to me without an extraordinarily compelling story). That this book seemed to plunge the depths of the two alphas’ romance, but stayed 100% away from any sexual contact, was head-spinning and extremely disappointing. Basically, the message I received was two alpha types were 100% tops and no exploration of any sexual intimacy directly between them was therefore present. I found the exploration of their emotional journey satisfying, and their apparent lack of physical/sexual connection extraordinarily disappointing.

(I’ve gone through the book twice to see if I’ve missed anything, as I often skim sex scenes, and saw one comment were Dominic looked forward to making love to Hugo, and one dp scene. Unless I missed something, apart from hugs, cuddles, and kisses, the physical connections were Jax and Dominic and Hugo and Jax - sometimes three but only with Jax in the middle - but not Hugo and Dominic.)

Run Free
By Colette Davison

It was a bit disappointing. I felt the chemistry between Jax and Hugo and was excited for them to be together and meet Dominic later, but once they did... it's hard to describe but the story just wasn't as good or as engaging anymore. Dominic's character just brought down the whole feel of the book. I guess I expected him to act more alpha than he did.

The book is in all three characters POV. The angst level is on the high end of low.

Run Free by Colette Davison is a Run Free is an alternate universe MMM shifter novel, with fated mates, knotting, mpreg, an age-gap relationship, and a happy ending. Age-gap is one of my favorite tropes in romance novels and I love shifter novels with fated mates and mpreg so I really wanted to read this one. I really liked it so I didn't get disappointed. The story of Jax, Hugo and Dominic is really well written and I loved it. Jax is an omega and Hugo human, their love forbidden. After 7 years of living on the streets they run into Alpha Dominic and realise something has always been missing.

What I Liked
This book takes place in an alternate universe or an alternate reality. The prologue gave a good historical explanation of how sifters came about and why they were being "regulated". This is one of those details that added to this story. Aside from that, it had a real-life feel to it despite being a paranormal novel. It deals with homelessness, being unaccepted for being different, and government restricted emigration. Don't worry, you will be hooked within the first few pages!

All the characters were easily relatable. Hugo, the human, was my favorite character. I think it was because I could see a little of myself in him. Always looking out for Jax and even when Dominic comes along, tries to remain strong for him as well. DESPITE HIS APPREHENSION.

I am trying to avoid too many spoilers...however, I will say the sexual component ranked up there! What would you expect with a trouple. I am not sure where the author learned some of her gay scenes from, but she did hit them out of the park.

What I did not Care for
This is just me... I heard the word "slick" a few too many times in some of the scenes (physical, arousal, and during the "clean up"). I totally get that this is a part of the omega universe. This is just a personal taste thing for me. Overall, that did not take away from the story for me :-)

My Recommendation
This was my first Colette Davison gay romance book, it will not be my last! This was a well-done novel and hit on several real-life issues we are facing today.

I know this was a stand-alone novel, but admittedly, I am hoping it becomes a series.

I couldn’t not read this story once I’d read the blurb, it hooked me right off the bat. Then once I started reading I was immediately drawn in…I even found myself getting antsy for Jax and Hugo during the first third or so of the book when so much was up in the air for them. You could see just how dedicated to each other they are, even when feelings of inadequacy continually rise to the surface for Hugo. The status of shifters in this particular universe is precarious and with relations between shifters and humans being illegal, their relationship has a lot of strikes against it from the start.

Once the precipitating event occurs to really get things going (and my god, did I want to react exactly as Jax did and start some butt-whooping), and a stranger intervenes to help out…that’s when things start to really come together. From that point on, it’s all about Jax, Hugo, and Dominic coming together and starting to connect on every level. Even when Hugo thinks he’s now the outsider once Dominic comes into the picture, the bond the continues to strengthen between the three of them, proving him wrong and solidifying their relationship.

A good chunk of the story follows their journey to somewhere they can be free and accepted, and harrowing though it is it also helps bring them even closer together. Since the tension carries on throughout their road to freedom, it does make it hard to put the book down since you’re constantly wondering if they will be found out.

I liked the dynamics between the three of them, and how each of them plays a part in reassuring the others of their place in their throuple. The intimate scenes are intense and passionate, and you can see the contrast between those and the scenes when Jax is in heat when everything becomes more frenzied and animalistic. And as for how everything ends? Yep, happy sigh. A really happy sigh.

Run Free was a 4.5-star read for me; I really enjoyed the world the author created and the characters as well. My interest was also piqued by two of the supporting characters—Alistair, Dominic’s best friend (and also a shifter) who you can’t help but feel for given what has happened in his own relationship, and Nate, a human who helps Jax, Hugo, and Dominic along the way. I’m hoping there will be more stories to come in this world *fingers crossed*. Keep in mind that with the adult language and sexual content this book is meant for readers 18+.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

Run Free is a really interesting take on the omegaverse and the world building drew me in to the story right away. Not only are the alphas/omegas actually able to shift in this world, but the story has sort of a dystopian feel that makes it very unique. I loved the set up here, with the idea that shifters were created by the government as super soldiers, but then no longer needed or wanted when the war was over. They are mistreated, tracked, and given limited rights. Shifters can’t travel outside the UK without permission, for example. It puts Jax and Hugo in grave danger being together and they have to be constantly on the run. The story sets up some excitement, as the pair face trouble that means they must leave the country, but escaping is near impossible. So I really enjoyed the unique approach and found the beginning of this story particularly engaging as it all sets up.

Brilliant what a Book Recommend Highly To Read This so Engaging and these 3 are so meant for each other.

I received a free copy to read and review for Wicked Reads

This was the author's first time writing this type of book, and it was pretty good. I LOVED Jax and Hugo. Their love could be felt, it poured off the pages. They went through so much and you felt it as they went through it all. I didn't feel that connection with Dominic, something felt off with him. I didn't understand how he could just up and leave either. I think this would have been much better as a MM book instead of MMM, at least for me.

Jax, an unregistered omega fox shifter, and Hunter live on the street. Their love, although blessed by fate, is forbidden as the government severely punishes human-shifter relationships and does not recognize fated mates in the case of mere humans. It turns out, however, that the situation of the two is more complicated than they thought when they accidentally bump into Dominic, the alpha wolf shifter, who is clearly their soul mate. Everything gets even worse as Jax and Hunter come into conflict with a drug dealer. It's clear they must run away, but how can they do it when they discovered their fated mate without whom their relationship is incomplete? For Dominic, a relationship with Jax and Hunter equals abandoning his current life, work, and friends. Will he be able to do this? And will jealous Hunter find a way to reconcile his conflicting, strong feelings?

"Run Free" is the first shifter mpreg novel in Colette Davison's career and hopefully not the last one. The author has built a solid universe with foundations embedded in alternative historical events, on which the alternative present, in which the events of this volume take place, is developed. What immediately catches our eye is a gloomy, dark world that the characters have to face. However, I think that it should also be mentioned that the universe of "Run Free", although shown in rather dark colors, was built and presented really realistically. After all, probably every realist realizes that if shapeshifters lived openly among us, they would be treated in the way we see in the novel – partly like minority, partly animals. Many countries around the world still struggle to cope with people being different than most, let alone accepting hybrids. It's sad but true, and I suspect the author was aware of it.

I've mentioned that the "Run Free" universe is a gloomy place, and so is the vibe of this novel. It is dark and heavy for most of the story. To a large extent, it makes us aware much more clearly than anything else of what is hidden under the colorful, cheerful facade of our everyday life. "Run Free" is set in an alternate reality in which wolf and fox shifters exist, and are divided into alphas and omegas, but all this can be successfully applied to some ordinary people and all type of minorities. We should remember that not every country gives its inhabitants the opportunity to live and be who you really are. And even countries that offer this option are not always honest. What is important, however, is the fact that just like it happens in life, in "Run Free" the dark, gloomy vibe begins to lighten with time. The sun is coming out from behind the clouds.

Another topic I would like to mention are the characters. In my opinion, it is very important that each of them has his own story to tell, and what's more, Hugo and Jax also have theirs, the one they lived through together. Thus, apart from what is happening in front of our eyes in "Run Free", the next plane of this story is created by the past and the experiences of the heroes from the times before the reader got to know them. It is thanks to this that we can get to know them better and understand them. It is also important that our three boys are really different from one another, but at the same time they complement one another. Each of the characters brings something important to this story and to their relationship. Colette Davison really made sure to show us clearly how much Jax, Hugo and Dominic need one another, what they bring to the relationship, what they give and what they take from one another. Thanks to this, we can see the mechanism of their relationship somewhat from within. Imagine a transparent watch, which allows you to see how all the parts of its mechanism work together, how the small gears turn, thanks to which it fulfills its role. This is how the author shows us the heroes and their relationship.

In "Run Free" I really liked the fact that the author takes up many important topics related to life, such as the difficult choice between heart and mind, uncertainty of the future, the need to take risks in order to live and find happiness. We can say that the novel shows a series of "something for something" problems that force the characters to sacrifice something in order to achieve something else. The author has shown them all in such a good way that the reader involuntarily puts himself in our boys' shoes and wonders if they would be able to make a similar decision or what they would or would not do. This clearly shows that Colette Davison is capable of engaging the reader, making them think. I believe that thanks to all this "Run Free" also becomes closer to us.

In conclusion, although the author gets into uncharted waters, she once again had written something really great, interesting and addictive. "Run Free" is undoubtedly one of the novels that make us think and make us want to change the world. So this is definitely a book that we will remember for a long time.

To wyraźnie pokazuje, że Colette Davison potrafi zaangażować czytelnika, nakłonić go do refleksji.

ENG- So well well well…. well I love the novels of this author and particularly her MMMs and this one is no exception to the rule. It is also Colette Davison’s first Mpreg and if I am far from being an expert on the subject it is a genre that I like, when it is treated in a certain way. For example, I love Victoria Sue’s Mpregs. And I can now say that I love Colette Davison’s Mpregs.

I really liked this novel which I found to be very well written. The main characters are very well presented and the author takes the time to explain to us the origin of theShifters while leaving a part of mystery that makes you want to know more. I do not know if the author plans other volumes in this universe, this volume is sufficient on its own but I will read them with pleasure if it is the case.

I really liked the fact that Dominic is introduced at the beginning of the novel and that we have an alternation of point of view by chapter between the three main characters. Colette Davison gives us here a MMM as I like them: 3 complementary characters each bringing something different to the other two. I liked the fact that Hugo is a simple human, which brings an extra dimension to the plot and the novel. I liked how each character has their flaws and strengths, their doubts and their urge to do anything to make the other two happy. I liked the fact that the Jax-Hugo couple are very strong but that the arrival of Dominic is only more for the two boys.

I liked the way the author treats Mpreg, the pregnancy and birth are touching and all sweet, which I particularly love.

I am really delighted with my reading because Colette Davison has been able to link two of my favorite subjects in the way that I like which makes it, for me, a favorite. A novel that will soon join my libraries.

As hard as this story was to read at times, it’s such a good one. It was hard because my heart broke for two of the MCs. Having to live on the streets, wondering if they’d survive, all because one parent was abusive and more so when he found out he had a shifter for a son, and the other when his parents found out their son’s friend was the shifter. And it broke my heart for them.
Jax and Hugo being on the streets and on the run for seven years was really getting so weary, but they had no other choice. They had no other way to survive. It wasn’t until they literally ran into an alpha, while running from a shop clerk for stealing, that they realized that life might be different. But until then, Hugo did all he could to protect and care for Jax. During his heats and everything, even knowing he wasn’t enough because he was human. It wasn’t until he was getting beaten for stealing some of the drug money he was delivering that Jax had turned and the threat became even worse. Thankfully the shop where they were getting beaten was a part of a network to save shifters and humans and help them be free. And it was during this, they found their alpha again. But things aren’t as easy as they wished. Dominic had a life here, and Jax and Hugo only had each other for so long. How would they all fit together and who would be left out? Could they make it even work, because Dominic might now want to give up the life he has for his mates, despite the call.
Jax and Hugo broke my heart so bad. And it really hurt me even more at times, when it hit Dominic how hard they really had it, when he had been living the life. Not that he’s extremely wealthy or anything, but he had a job, a home and food to eat. A warm bed to sleep in. Friends and so much more. And it killed him to know that his two mates had to endure so much because of crappy parents. Killed me too. It broke me as a parent that anyone could do that to their child. But for Dominic, as much as it would kill him to miss his friend and the kids, he knew in his heart he had to be with his mates. To protect them and show them what love, support and so much meant. Including freedom. But it wasn’t easy for any of them. The journey was long and arduous. But it gave them time to get to know each other and to find out how well they worked together. How well they fit. Time to get past insecurities and fears and doubts they all had. Jax, as an omega, he was happy as long as the other two were happy. But with Hugo being human, and Dominic being an alpha, those two wondered where they’d fit with each other and it broke my heart all over again that they would be in tears over being afraid of losing any part of them.
It ended up working. The story does have an HEA. But it doesn’t mean the journey is easy. It takes a lot to make a relationship work on normal levels. Add the turmoil and all the danger they were going through, it made things that much worse. But love and persistence prevailed. And that’s what counted.

A different take on shifters; I loved it!

So, Run Free…it's a really different take on shifters than I've ever read. The premise is that the British military created them as a secret "super soldier" during WW-II. After the war was over the military decides they are too powerful to leave around and is going to destroy them. That plan was overturned but strict controls were put on shifters and they lack most freedoms that humans take for granted. Also, human/shifter couples are forbidden. All of this is explained better, and in more detail, in the prologue for the book; I found it fascinating.

There are some pretty angsty parts in the beginning of the story and I was kept glued to my e-reader, only stopping because it was going to fall out of my hands if I didn't get some sleep. 😊 I really loved everything about this story.

There's an underground group that helps unregistered shifters and shifter/human couples. After Jax, Hugo and Dominic meet up in person they all feel the strong pull of the mating bond. Hugo and Jax have been on the run for years. Dominic is quite a bit older than they are and has a good career as a barrister. He has to decide whether to go with Jax and Hugo and leave everything, and everyone, he knows behind.

There were several places that I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something awful to happen but I won't say more. I will say that I would love to read a follow up story about this triad and I'd also love to know more about Dominic's friend, Alistair. I think Alistair deserves a book of his own.

I don't know if the author plans any more books set in this world but I would love to read more of them if she does.

A copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

A very timely storyline dealing with a current and poignant topic of races being disenfranchised. A race of shifters created for the entire reason of winning a war against a genocidal purist party is only subjected to the same treatment they were created to thwart. Don’t let the dark beginning throw you off the story is very engaging and heartfelt.

Beautifully written with very relatable characters. Dominic, Hugo and Jax are each very individual and have different ways to cope and deal with things. Being part of a Throuple is never easy. Watching these three maneuver and figure things out definitely brings some angst to the story. However it is very necessary angst and you get to see inside the mindset of each of the three characters from their point of view.

Two of the three characters being shifters is not the most prominent piece of the action, even though it is the heart of the storyline. The heat of the love scenes is off the charts. That is the prominent piece of action we all love to read about. This story does not disappoint.

The author says this is her first time writing paranormal/shifter and MPreg, she did an amazing job with this story. She did not focus on anything but the emotions and thoughts of each character which made them more real and easy to read and relate. I hope this author dabbles in this genre again soon.

This book was an ARC copy given for a fair and honest review.

This book took me on a journey, beyond what I had anticipated! I've read other mpreg shifter books, but Colette's interpretation is one of the more heartbreaking versions I've seen. For an author who's never written in this area before, I'm impressed by how thorougly she planned out the history of shifters and brought this unique world to life. Hugo and Jax are together at the start of this story, and the majority of their adventure deals with adding Dominic into their relationship and escaping a truly awful living condition. I wouldn't say that the romance blew me away in this book, but I did enjoy seeing how these three men worked through their issues and found happiness together. I wish there had been a bit more emotional depth to their bond--usually when I read books about established couples I can feel that intense connection, but it was missing here. That being said, the rollercoaster ride these men went on to escape from Britain was so thoughtfully written. So much was packed into this story, and while there were some loose ends (what happened to the pissed off drug dealer?), I am floored by the level of detail that went into telling their story in all its gritty honesty.

Run Free is an entertaining shifter menage romance by Colette Davison.

I am extremely impressed with the way the author handled the world building of this alternate universe at the beginning. It sums up everything perfectly, in a fun way.

As for the story itself, it's riveting and compelling, with three likable characters. Jax and Hugo have a complex, painful past. When they meet Dominic, everything is set to change. The connection is instant, but they certainly have a long fight ahead to be together. On the run, they have to find the right place to settle if they want to be safe.

I enjoy the dynamics of the men, with two being shifters and the third a human. This creates a complication that drives the storyline. Their story includes a fight for freedom, with many breath-taking moments, in addition to the heat of the three.

Run Free is an emotional read, with Colette Davison bringing the reader into the thoughts and feelings throughout. It's a good romance, with an intriguing world that would be fun to read more of.

Colette's first shifter+mpreg, and I can't believe how good it was. I knew I'd love this book.
It first started as an Aladdin retelling, but turned out something else. But now I can't stop thinking about an Aladdin retelling story too, so please, I need that too :)

Jax and Hugo were both lovely and really sweet characters. I loved their relationship. You could tell the pure love those two shared, they were really fated and loved each other so much. I love it when the love between the characters are this pure and even a blind person can see how strong they are.
Dominic was an added bonus, I liked him too and it was really good to see them together.

I loved the scenes when just Jax and Hugo were together, and loved when Dominic was in the picture too. Dominic was a bit 'off' for me sometimes. His story and background was good, and his friend and the kids were cute too, so I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he 'throw them away' that easily. When you want to dissappear... I don't believe it that it's that easy.

Loved reading this book, they were really sweet together and loved that the ending wasn't fast. I was afraid to read an ending where they're free and you only can imagine what they'll do in their future... but not this time. I was so happy that we could read more about those free times and their life. And the pregnancy was good too.

Loved this book, and the cover is just so cute!

I discovered shifter books about a year ago and I fell in love with them. I find them fascinating and it’s always so interesting to see what each author will do with the lore and the tropes. What I really really loved about this book was that the existence of shifters was explained. There was a why and a how and it was done greatly. I really appreciated that and it helped me get into the story and connect with the characters. It’s an omega-verse book about love and fated mates and I adored the romance and how naturally it evolved even though the three of them were meant to be together by fate. But what I loved the most about the book was that it made me think about discrimination and refugees and that we should be thankful for our freedom every single day and never forget. I highly recommend it. It’s a great book and I hope the author will give us more tales from this world.

According to the author’s afterwords, this is her first time writing shifter and mpreg. Well, congratulations, she was successful in creating a world where the existence of shifters has a scientific explanation, but where they unfortunately suffer the same prejudices that many minorities had and still have to endure in our world.

The storyline is centred around the journey of the three MCs to a place where they could be free to live and love as they please and to give in to the mate call that united them. The fact that they were always in unsettling situations, more concerned about successfully completing their journey rather than spending time in getting to know each other in a comfortable daily routine, had an impact on my evaluation of the credibility of their feelings over the simple lust due to the mate call.

Jax and Hugo are the better developed characters. Their interactions, their relationship, love and their past experiences felt so true, were so deep and heartfelt that I shed a few tears reading what they had to endure and how close their bond is. Maybe the fact that Hugo is human, downplayed the typical alpha/omega dynamic and their love was described as based on feelings and trust rather than hormones.

Dominic on the other side was more two dimensional. Except for his close relationship with his friend Alister and his sons, the story does not reveal any other significant relationships of his past or present, no family members, and even his work as a barrister is only briefly considered, mostly to show that he was a well-off shifter, and should have been the opposite of Jax and Hugo. But he seems to easily give up everything just to follow the mate call and he takes over his role as alpha with almost no second thoughts. Dominic’s character was too focused on protecting his two lovers and as a reader I had a hard time connecting to him.

Overall very enjoyable, well written and leaves me with the hope for a second book set in this world.

This is Colette Davison's first foray into shifters and mpreg, and I loved it.

The world presented, the creation of shifters were intriguing and it was hard to see the difficulties Jax and Hugo had to navigate in order to survive. Their love for each other was beautifully written, like a warmth reaching through the pages. And I adored how the author made Dominic fit in with them. It wasn't easy for either of the three, feelings got hurt, insecurities came to the surface, not to mention their three distinct personalities they had to blend together. It was challenging, but all the more wonderful when they eventually found the perfect harmony and love.

This was fated mates magic at its best, full of tenderness, care, passion and hot sex.

This was Colette‘a first MPEG novel and hopefully it won’t be her last. I loved the idea that shifters were created by the government to help win the army. It’s like something they would do if could get away with it.

Jax is an unregistered omega and Hugo is his human mate. Both of these make him a target . They need to move constantly no where is home. That is until the run into Alpha Dominic. Jax is drawn to him instantly but Hugo is unsure. It’s been just him and Jax for so long. But when fate throws them together again they have to either take a leap of faith and run free or risk staying put and looking over their shoulder for the rest of their lives.

Fantastic read great story progression and wonderful characters.
Highly recommended.

This was a good story and while I really enjoyed it, it was also a heavy story which I didn’t get expect. Hugo and Jax have been hiding and running for years because of all the stupid laws in regards to shifters and when they meet Dominic it makes their lives even more complicated. When they have to basically run away and Dominic inadvertently ends ups being one to help they all find the connection they need, however, it takes a long journey for them to find the freedom they need. I liked that this was an in depth story and seeing how these men navigated the situations they ended up in but it was just a more serious tone than I was expecting.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.

Run Free by Colette Davison is a paranormal mmm romance with an age gap. It is based in an alternative universe with shifters, fated mates, and mpreg. The world created here is interesting - I hope we get to see more books in this universe. I find the politics, the social rules, and the underground network fascinating.

The characters in this story - Jax, Hugo, and Dominic share a strong bond worth fighting for. Their interactions ran from sweet to hot. They face struggles in their journey in love and search for freedom. I love the instant connection, even if it wasnt instant acceptance of it. The story was fun, with a little angst but a lot of love.

I really loved this story!! Jax and Hugo are on the run because their love is forbidden. Jax is a fox shifter and Hugo is human. The meet (or run into) Dominic, a wolf shifter. They have been living on the streets fighting to survive. My heart broke for them. Jax wants to get to know him but Hugo is worried there will be no room for him. Hugo takes care of Jax when he has heats, that had always been what Hugo did. I think I loved Hugo the most. It’s a really good story!! Well written with a lot of emotion and character development. Highly recommend.

Sigh! Just love a book by Colette Davison, her slow burning well written love stories are such treat when you jump into reading her wonderful books. Opening the first page of this shifter romance leads you into a world where the story holds your attention keeping you invested till the very last page because you have to know how Hugo, Jax,and Dominic work together to find what all of us are searching for their happy ever after. I totally hope this book is the first of many because it was just such an awesome read.

This is a MMM/Shifter/Mpreg book which is a new genre for Colette, but she brought it home and some. The three main characters are so different but work well. The two youngest MCs have had a hard life and then they meet Dominic, an Alpha. Their lives change drastically. But Colette has created a wonderful background story that pulls you in.
This is unlike anything that I've read by Colette, it's darker, full of angst but truly enjoyable. Although you get an HEA, expect a full on journey first.
I already miss Jax, Hugo and Dominic. This will be one of those rare books that I will read again and buy on Audio.

Different. I don’t read much mpreg, but it seems like this one has more unique ideas than most. It has kind of a post-apocalyptic feel to it, with a brave new world ending.
Hugo takes such good care of Jax. Dominic fits in well with them. Their journey takes them halfway across the world to a culture completely new to all of them.
It’s a sweet story at the core of it, wrapped up in the challenges they have to face. I enjoyed it!

This one is so cute and unique. This is a fated mates, omegaverse, and mpreg story. I loved the whole explanation in the beginning and the science behind the omegas and shifters. I also enjoyed the pairing of two shifters and a human, you don't usually see that. There was tons of sweetness between these guys and reading a story at a time like this was a breath of fresh air. Great story and great writing with great characters that pull you in right from the start.

Colette Davison has done it again. She is back with her latest book, Run Free, and she blew me away. The storyline was great and the plot was original. I was pulled in from page one. Add to that a great cast of characters, and the book was next to impossible to put down. Each character can stand on their own, and Jax, Hugo, and Dominic have a complex relationship that the author flawlessly mends together.

I highly recommend this book and suggest you one-click today! 5 stars.
