Logan

She was forbidden. Untouchable. The last woman on earth I should think of being with. But from the first meeting, there was no way I’d ever be able to escape her charm. By the time I finally realized this, I was deep in love with her.

Ava

No one—not even I—could predict that a simple trip to see my brother could lead me to the one thing I couldn’t say no to. Love. But funny enough, it did. And he wasn’t even the kind of person I thought I’d ever fall in love with.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Ava has returned to Aston to visit her brother Brandon knowing the best place to look for him would be the fire station she makes her way there where she meets Logan. There is a chemistry between them straight away and something about him calls to her in a way she has never experienced before. Could this be the start of something for them both and how will her brother react?

Logan is a reformed bad boy or so the town he grew up in thinks, he was jailed for a crime he never committed as a teenager so when he returned to his home town Brandon was the person who helped him get his life on track, he has been a fire fighter for a few years now so when Brandon asks him to look after his sister and show her around. But when things get hot and steamy between them will Brandon approve or will he lose the one person who has believed in him in the name of love?

Quick read I can’t say this is my favourite book I have read by this author as reading it I honestly felt that the entire book had been rushed and I didn’t feel the connection I have felt reading the previous stories. 3.5* read.

"It was strange. And warm. Like a trail of sparks slowly traveling from his eyes to mine, then down to my heart and the rest of my body. It felt like firecrackers on Christmas. Bright. Sparkling. Exciting."

He respected her brother. She was visiting her brother. They met and he saw his future in her eyes.

Mr. Dark and Dangerous meets Ms. Taekwondo expert

LOGAN is the fourth book in the Curves On Fire series and is the story of Logan and Ava.
Logan is a firefighter with the Aston Fire Department who one night finds a young woman who has broken into the firehouse. When he confronts her he is definitely attracted to her, even if she did break-in.
Ava is described as "troublesome" by her older brother Brandon. When she comes to town to visit with him she first goes to the firehouse and is confronted by a big, dark and sexy man. She is not one to back down and decides to defend herself, letting her mouth get her into even more trouble.
The following day at work Brandon asks Logan to show around a family member. Who he is expecting is Brandon's new wife. But what he finds is the lovely but off-limits Ava. What starts out as him taking her to the grocery store ends up in another battle of the wills with more than a little funny and witty banter between them. But the whole things ends in bed together after a short drive to Logan's house. It is all fun and a lot of satisfaction until the next morning when there is a knock on the door and Logan finds Brandon there. Let's just say that Brandon is not pleased and ready to do serious harm to Logan.

This is a sizzling and fast-paced short story. I liked the story but found that it did jump over some details and parts of the story that I would have liked to be included. But otherwise it is an nice addition to this series.

Raw attraction
This is book four in the Curves on Fire series, and features Ava and Logan. Ava returns to Aston to see her brother Brandon (who we met in book one). She goes to the fire station and comes across Logan, who’s been working there with her brother for a few years. Their first meeting is full of angst, suspicion, intrigue and back-and-forth banter, with no idea of who the other is. Ava also finds that he has a magnetic aura but her frustration with him comes through stronger.
But their second meeting has them feeling some very different emotions. There’s a raw attraction there, which ignites a hungry passion neither of them are willing to ignore. As they submit to each other, any thoughts of how this could affect their relationships with Brandon are all but forgotten. But when he does find out, he’s surprisingly accepting with only some reservations.
Even though it’s meant to be a quick read, I thought the story was a bit too rushed, and their interactions and relationship felt a bit clumsy. So as a series, I do look forward to seeing how these characters might be revisited. And I did enjoy the little tease at the end about the next book – having an ex-soldier as a firefighter WILL be interesting!

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Curves On Fire series. Logan is a former bad boy who Brandon took under his wing and gave him a job at the firehouse as a firefighter. Logan feels like he owes Brandon for helping him turn his life around, so when Brandon asks Logan to show his sister around, he never expected Logan to want to keep Ava for himself. Ava is visiting Brandon and when she goes to look for him, she meets Logan and is unsure how to react to him. The next day, Brandon asks Logan to show Ava around, but they have a connection and they both can't fight their attraction to one another. Now Logan has to face Brandon and see if he can convince him he really cares for Ava. I liked this instant love story. I think Logan and Ava both felt love at first sight and they both wanted to be together. They had amazing chemistry and an amazing connection. Another good one in this short and sweet series.

This is a great addition to the firefighter series Curves on Fire in this story we get Logan's story Like all the other it is a fast fun read that takes less than an hour to read so perfect for when you are short on time

Logan meets the girl of his dreams one day at the fire station he works at he knows she is the one for him That is until he discovers that Ava is in fact the sister to his team mate Brandon which makes her off limits Can he walk away or will their feelings mean that they fight for what they want You will have to read to see if they get a HEA

I absolutely love this book. Logan meets a sexy woman, but bad news she's hands off her brother Brandon works with Logan but can he stay away from the forbidden sister? Ava is meeting up with her brother but when she meets Logan all bets are off with off the chart chemistry but will Brandon get in between them?

Ok so this takes insta-love to a whole new level! Things happen so fast that it’s enough to make your head spin. It’s written well enough, but far too short. I think this story should have been fleshed out more. There was no suspense, no buildup, nada. Basically its: meet, sex, love, done.

When Ava first meets Logan at the fire station, he has no idea that she’s Brandon’s little sister. But it’s lust at first sight for the two of them and he takes her home with him, consequences be damned.
This is another short, sweet and steamy instalment in the lives of these firefighters. Loved it.

This is Ava, and Logan's love story

I would recommend this book to mature readers, that enjoy stories that are funny, steamy, and romantic, with strong characters both male, and female.

Short and sweet.

Very short book and hardly got to know the characters. Would love to read more about them without reading the next book in the series.

Logan, a definite must read.

Scarlett Hope has written another love at first sight short story. Although short, it still packs a punch. I've read each book in this series and although they are all firemen, each story is different. I recommend this book and this author. Great to read at lunchtime, bedtime or anytime. These books with their HEA's are great for those quarantined, or if you need a wonderful pick me up this series is perfect.. I think we all could do with some "happy ever after" during these trying times.
