Mountain Seeking Pilot

Rate this book
Helicopter Pilot, Rhys Cooper, has spent his life flying to new heights in dangerous and daring rescues. Wanting to slow down, he decides to move to his family's spiritual home to lay some roots just like his doctor brother before him. But first thing's first, knocking down the old house he just bought and building his dream home with a picture-perfect view of Moose Mountain.

All Amber Green has ever wanted is to have a part of her hometown to call her own. She scrimped and saved and worked any job she could to buy her small cabin next to Moose Mountain, with her eye on expanding her eco-farm to the big piece of land next door. That's until she finds out someone paid cash for it, buying it for themselves, and suddenly that man is landing his helicopter in the backyard, blowing her laundry sky high--literally!

Then her conservationist heart breaks when she hears the plans her new neighbor, Rhys, has for the eyesore next door.

Now Amber has a new mission--change his mind to protect the mountain and the environment around it. But Rhys has one of his own. He's heard the legend of Moose Mountain providing for the Cooper bloodline, now he's determined to prove it true and win Amber's heart.

Mountains are calling more coopers home!! And well hes alittle different then his cousins. ;)

Amber has respected the mountain and its vibes with her little house and plans to expend to help the town and mountain, but her luck is good and bad when she gets a new neighbor Rhys Cooper but he likes to push her buttons. Rhys didnt make a good impression when he landed his helicopter behind his neighbors house and flew all her uhh panties all over the forest floors. And they fight like cats and dogs when he informs her he is building a glass house. Yeah GLASS HOUSE!! 😂😂
That sets off Amber and their banter and sexual tension becomes alot. Good thing he has his cousins to show him why ppls around them respect the land.

This author is so good! I devoured this book. It is hot, steamy and sweet. Feisty but loving heroine and sexy pilot hero. I have a soft spot for pilots. These two fight a lot but sparks fly and they can't help falling in love. Safety: virgin heroine, hero no manwhore, no cheating, no drama. Adorable epilogue with 3 kids.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Amber has lived her life at the bottom of moose mountain and with the plans that she is making he won’t ever be anywhere else. Everyone knows of the Cooper legend and she does her best to preserve the mountain just as it is but when the house next to her that she has secretly been coveting to turn into a kind of eco farm is sold, she is in for a lot of change and non-more so than her new neighbour arriving in a helicopter and discovering that he is a member of the Cooper family. As much as she fights it there is something about Rhys that feels like home and she has found somewhere she really does belong, but when she learns of his true plans will she be able to change his mind or will she have to lock him out of her heart?

Rhys Cooper has spent years on rescue missions but he finally feels that the time has come to put down roots and build himself a home, so when he hears that there is a job for someone with his skills he jumps at the chance to return to Moose mountain. His first meeting didn’t go to well after his helicopter landing blew her clean delicates all over her property, he knows as soon as he sees the mad little spitfire marching towards him that he is the place he was always meant to end up and is ready to do whatever it takes to claim Amber as his. Can he convince her that they are meant to be and that they are both answering the call of the mountain ?

This was super cute and easy to read, I lover Amber’s spirit and Rhys was her perfect match in all ways. I’m hoping that this series of books go on for a long time to come. If you like safe steamy quick reads then definitely give this book and author a try. 4.5* Read.

Moose mountain - well, what more is there to say? This story like the previous ones in this series of mountain men is absolutely fabulous. It is quite short so one evening is all you need, it has humour, sass, romance, and a whole range of good things for a good story. It is actually amazing how much can fit in such a short story! Well done. The storyline is good and the characters are really good and over the top as well, as is necessary in a story like this one. So fine four stars go easily to this story! Looking forward to the next one.

Rhys is coming home finally after working in so many countries he is ready to put down roots. Little does he know that he has met his match in the firefly Amber. Amber works at the local florist and has a dream to love completely off the grid and develop the land to compliment the mountain. Even though she is drawn to the Cooper brother she cannot get out of her head and around the tension created by the spark between them. It takes some fancy footwork and a lot of talking and eventually a family intervention to realize sometimes the life you are looking for is right in front of your face the whole time.

This is a new book in the men of moose mountain books, all tstand alone instaloves. This series is a fun one. I’ve read 3 of them. This book is about Amber and Rhys. Rhys, a Cooper mountain man has come home and found his soulmate. The pair start out in anger and find their way to a HEA. The book is an instalove with a light plot so that’s what you should expect. I did find this one to seem to be a little faster into the insta love than others. As usually a great HEA and epilogues too. Fun very short read similar to others in this series.

Mountain Seeking Pilot

I'm not sure what it is about this series as opposed to the last but they are not drawing me in the same way. Part of it is the change to British English for some words. Writer lady your story takes place in Alaska they have doctor offices, not doctor surgery. That's just one example. Do your research .

Cute story . Happily ever after. Completely safe and free of abuse and cheating. Virgin heroine

Book 2 was a little more interesting. We got to uncover more of the magic behind the mountain and what it means to the Cooper family. Rhys and Amber had sparks flying...or underwear flying from the first moment they met. I definitely enjoyed book 2 more than the first. I just wish they were a little longer and went into more detail. But if you like quick reads then these books are for you.

Good and tender

It's a good and simple romance, pretty cute and well written, which uses the spriti of the other episodes of the series: the members of the Cooper family are destined to return to the mountains in Alaska to build their life, to find love, respecting this mountain.
This episode is a little different because Rhys Cooper who is a former soldier who returns for the first time since childhood in this mountain, has forgotten this heritage and he runs into his new neighbor, Amber, who does not want to leave him " damage ”what she considers to be“ her ”mountain.

Amber has put everything she has into her new home and is trying to renovate it, but is doing everything herself! She doesn’t expect to see her new neighbor Rhys land in a helicopter and then the awful huge house he plans to build ruining the mountain! Rhys falls instantly for his gorgeous angry new neighbor! Now he just has to figure out a way to show her that they belong together! Another great book in the series!

Calling You Home

When Rhys feels the pull to settle on Moose Mountain where he can build his dream home he never imagines his feisty neighbor. Amber is beautiful, opinionated and passionate. Everything he loves in a woman. He just has to show her they are soulmates and what fun that will be.

Short and not particularly steamy

This is a fast and easy read, low in character development. The go from hate to love very quickly, without any real build up. It was just ok.

Amber has lived on the outskirts of Moose mountain all her life. She tries her her best to be eco friendly because of the legend. Rhys is a Cooper. A cousin and rescue pilot with a helicopter and is not afraid to use it. He has purchased the land beside Amber with plans of tearing, building and admiring the scenery of his family heritage. Amber spittin’ mad that he had not taken into consideration the local business that need the boost and preservation of the mountain. Opportunity and opposites clash and attract. Fireworks are in the future. No cliffhanger.

Book 2 in Marley Michael's newest series Men of Moose Mountain, Mountain Seeking Pilot is as enchanting as the first book.

Rhys Cooper, a rescue pilot, has returned home to Moose Mountain and has bought a plot of land to build his dream house on with a stunning view of his mountain and a place to park his helicopter. Amber works at the local florist shop, is a DIY nut, and dreams of buying the land next door to her little cabin so she can build some greenhouses and set up an eco-farm.

When she finds out that land has been purchased and her new neighbour introduces himself by landing his helicopter in their back yard (and sending her clean clothes line full of unmentionables scattering), she is less than impressed. And when Rhys shows her his plans for his house, Amber decides she needs to just steer clear of her infuriating(ly hot) neighbour. However, riling up "Dimples" equates to Rhys pulling the beautiful Amber's pigtails, and before long they are being swept up in the the magic of Moose Mountain. You will be, too.

Dimple's lady bits were screaming at her to 'make love, not war, on the couch, or on the floor.'

Mountain Seeking Pilot is the second book in the Men of Moose Mountain series and is the story of Amber Green and Rhys Cooper.
Amber was born, raised and still lives in Woodward Valley. After her two siblings and she were old enough their parents sold the family home, bought a RV and started traveling all over the US. So Amber worked hard and saved for five years to buy her own little cottage and land. It may be a fixer-upper but it is all hers. The house next is empty and Amber has a dream of buying it and then building greenhouses, having some animals and becoming self-sustainable.
Rhys is a helicopter pilot who has flown all over the world with Mission Air Force as an evacuation pilot. But after doing that for years the opportunity came up to transfer to Woodward Valley, Alaska and he jumped at it. It seems that this vagabond has finally heard the call of Moose Mountain to come home, even if he does not know that is what it is quite yet. So he bought a small cottage on some land and already has the plans for a new house he wants to build.
One day when Amber has just finished hanging her laundry out on the line she sees movement next door only to discover it is the local real estate agent slapping a Sold sign on the place. Within seconds they hear a sound coming from the sky that ends up being a helicopter which lands in the back paddock of the sold property. Amber quickly finds she has two issues - one is the fact that her lacy unmentionables have been blown all over the place and are now hanging in trees and on her roof and second is that the the cocky and very sexy pilot is her new neighbor. But wait because there is a third issue........he makes her insides quiver and her lady bits clench.
Rhys is enamored of his new neighbor right from the start. He loves her feistiness, passion and her very smart mouth. Plus who could resist a woman that ends up with a pair of panties hanging from her chimney and a bra hanging from her gutters? It appears that the mountain is about to provide more a whole lot more than Rhys expected when he decided to come back to the Cooper family Moose Mountain.

Mountain Seeking Pilot is a fun, witty, captivating, exciting, romantic and very sexy short story. This is a wonderful addition to the second branch of the Cooper family tree. Plus we also get to meet the third brother, Max, who's story is next.

Absolute clarity

This is book two in the Men of Moose Mountain series. I enjoyed it just as much as the first book. We meet another HOT, ambitious and passionate Cooper man – this time it’s Rhys, and he partners up with the wonderful Amber. They both have a special yet different connection to the mountain, but (I think) inevitably belong together. After their first interaction, it wasn’t going to be smooth sailing!

He is a rescue helicopter pilot, whose brother s are Judd and Max. She works with Lottie, who we met in book one. Rhys has just moved to the mountain, but doesn’t really understand the calling his family has. This is what frustrates Amber. They share an undeniable chemistry, but they clash on their views and beliefs about the mountain. That is, until the other Coppers boys show him, or at least guide him.

As kids, they were taken up to the clearing and anointed by the water in the hot mineral spring as protectors of the mountain. The feelings were described so vividly that I could almost feel like I was really there! It’s where the spirits of their ancestors live. It’s the place you give your life and trust over to, where the magic somehow ‘completes’ you. Legend says it draws your soulmate there. Seriously cool!
This is where Rhys turns himself around to the person that Amber would want, need and crave, to unknowingly complete her. It’s spiritual and just beautiful!

I loved the epilogues, and am already looking forward to the next book in the series, so we can check in with ALL of the Cooper men and their delightful women! I really LOVE the way these characters run across the books I’ve read in their two series so fa0r, but I know there’s more to come! I give this book four and a half destined stars!

***** Possible Spoilers Ahead! ****

This one was difficult for me to determine how I wanted to rate it. I did like the story. It was entertaining and enjoyable but there were things that made me a little like, what?!? The characters were interesting and likable. Amber works in the floral shop and is very environmentally conscious. When she meets Rhys she isn't happy with him because he doesn't seem to care about the environment. Most of the story Amber is telling Rhys how he is wrong - then bam! Amber can't get him off her mind. She is worried about him when he goes to work and dreaming about him at night. Rhys in the meantime has decided that he likes Amber and just needs to figure out how to get her on his side instead of against him. After a small intervention (not quite that but something similar) and some time on the mountain he heads over to see Amber and they are ON. Rhys and Amber have a happily ever after that rocks and is everything they wanted. I loved their happy ever after BUT I got stuck on the environmental issues that Amber kept bringing up. I guess I was surprised at the quick turn around to not seeming to care as much about the stuff with Rhys since she got what she wanted. It was still a good story even though I got a little whiplash! LOL! I do recommend reading this book. Give it a chance, you may like it!

This is book two in the Men of Moose Mountain Series. It’s Rhys Cooper and Amber Green’s story. Rhys brother and Ambers friend/boss are book one. This is a fast paced and steamy instalove story. It’s well written and I love that the author gives you epilogues to show how the couple is doing in the future. I really liked book one but I think this one is my favorite. Can’t wait to see what the next book brings.

The mountain is calling Rhys Cooper home and when the mountain calls a Cooper home it also calls to their soulmate. Rhys has spent years flying rescue missions in other countries. He’s home now and wants to put down roots, find a good woman raise a family. He buys the property next to Ambers and blows her laundry all over the place the first time he lands his helicopter on his property. This of course makes Amber very made and sends her stomping over to tell off her new neighbor. Amber tries very hard to be as eco-friendly as possible and she’s horrified at the monstrosity of a house that Rhys wants to build. She thinks it’s a horrible waste to build the place and fights with Rhys one it. They’re attracted to each other but Amber thinks they’re too different to make it work. Can Rhys convince her to give him a chance?

I loved this story! These two characters were fabulous. Rhys, a helicopter pilot, single, magnetic personality, big hunk of a man was coming back to the mountain to live after years of working as a rescue pilot in underdeveloped countries. He bought a house and land for the helicopter next to Amber. Amber was not happy about this. She was going to buy the lot when she had enough money and do eco friendly greenhouses and gardens. She loved the mountain and had lived here all her life and she wanted to rehab and have the mountain thrive. Amber was young, single, curvy, feisty, spunky and had eco friendly on the brain. These two were so out of touch with each other - could they be friends? Could they ever get past there differences? This was a feisty, spirited couple who were smoking hot together and explosive but tender loving too. Characters both had great presence, dynamic. It makes for an entertaining, fast read because you can’t put it down. Very enjoyable!

Mountain Seeking Pilot is the second book Marley Michaels’ Men of Moose Mountain series. Readers are introduced to two dynamic lead characters—Amber Green and Rhys Cooper. She has not ventured out of their small town. He works as a rescue helicopter pilot and working on missions around the world. They share opposite viewpoints. Sparks fly when they meet. She tries to deny it. He tries to embrace his feelings and activates an action plan to get what he wants—her. What happens to them? Will they end up together? You must read this book to find out.

I enjoyed the rich conversational and internal dialog. Ms. Michaels uses witty banter as part of Amber and Rhys’ flirtations. Her use of descriptive language pulls readers into their story. I liked the two epilogues. I appreciated the dual POV, that of Amber and Rhys. The perfecting ending in an HEA always comes in the epilogue which is precisely the strategy Ms. Michaels uses. So, if you want to hunker down with a charming romance then I recommend this book. Happy Reading!
