Regis Wolff visits me every day at the coffee bar where I work. I give him his daily shot of caffeine. He gives me those devilish smirks that render me boneless. I'm pretty sure the dishy PI is into me, but he’s ten years older. Worse, he’s here on assignment—for my dad. I know what I want. But would Wolff risk it all to be together?
Wolff I’ve never had a problem with concentration. As a private investigator, being able to focus is mission-critical. My client’s daughter is the worst kind of distraction. The tortuous kind. This job I’m doing for Regis’s dad won’t last forever… And then my attention will be all on her. If I can wait that long.
Hi! I’m a mama of four living my dream writing romance out in the country with the love of my life! I’m a busy bee like you, so writing & reading short romance is my jam. This was a great book to curl up with it is the second book in the series but is the first one I have read but I will be checking out the rest of the series. I was sucked right into this book and could not wait to see what happened next I would definitely recommend it I did not want to stop reading.
Never have I ever..........eaten a s'more without dribbling chocolate
Wolff Cole is a loner, or at least that is how he is prepared to live his life. In his mid-thirties he is a Private Investigator who owns and runs Cole Investigations with his brother Weston. Five years ago his wife died and since then his heart has been closed for business, along with other parts of him. But when he first laid eyes on Regis, the sweet little barista at the coffee shop in the local Wylder Mountain resort. The bad thing is that the woman who he knew immediately he would marry is actually the daughter of the man who is Cole Investigations newest client. Regis has been working as a barista for the last two years ever since her father inherited the resort. It is not what she really wants to do, as she loves school and knows she wants to go back. The only question is what does she want to study as she does not know what she wants to do when she graduates. But for the past two weeks "he" has been coming in and her days have gotten a lot more interesting. The "he" is Wolff Cole and he was hired to fin out who has been stealing money from the resort. So each day Wolff comes in, gets a cup a coffee, sits in the corner and does his work. The man may be ten years older but Regis is enraptured by him to the point that she cannot think straight when he is there and she ends up burning herself each day. Wolff and Regis have been playing coy with each other for the last couple of weeks. That may all change soon though as his investigation is closing down. When her father, Storm, invites Wolff to join the rest of the employees that evening at the lodge for a get-together things are about to get a whole lot hotter. Plus add in some s'more action and it gets even more interesting. But is Wolff ready to open his heart and home to a new woman? Is Regis ready to be claimed by the big sexy Alpha? What will Storm do when he finds out about them? After all he is in the USMC Reserves?
Wolff is the fourth book in the Wylder Mountain Heroes series and is charming and amusing story that also has some drama and a whole lot of sizzling chemistry that definitely pops. This is a well written story with a good plot and wonderful characters. One of the things that I really found endearing is the ongoing "Never have I ever..." game that Regis and her friend and fellow worker Beth play. Let's just say that it is a laugh out loud game between the the two of them.
Wolff is Tarin Lex’s fourth book in Wylder Mountain Men Heroes series. Ms. Lex introduces us to two dynamic lead characters—Regis and Cole. This instant-love romance novella deals with an older male/younger woman couple. Regis is the daughter of a client. Wolff Cole is a private investigator and part owner of Cole Security. His partner is his brother, Weston. Strom, Regis’ father, owns a lodge and hires Cole Security to help him uncover the employees involved in fraudulent activities. While on the job, Wolff (Cole) sees Regis and is instantly smitten. Cole is a widower. His wife and child died five years ago. There are two reasons Cole remains aloof regarding Regis. The first she is the client’s young daughter. The second is their age difference. What will Destiny decide? Can Cole find the guilty parties? Will Regis and Cole get together? What will her father say? The best way to glean the answers to these questions is to read the book.
I enjoyed this strong character-driven romantic plot. Ms. Lex designs complex characters, both primary and secondary. I like the chemistry and dynamics between the two romantic leads. I appreciated the way she reveals her plot through her characters’ dialog. The banter between them is adorable. I appreciated the respectful way she handles an older man/younger woman romance. Additionally, I appreciated Ms. Lex’s adept use of descriptive language to paint vivid pictures. There are several scenes between the two of them that demonstrate this. One is early on when young Regis gets flustered upon seeing Wolff and accidentally scalds her hand. It captures her innocence. Another is when they are both at the Lodge’s event and she makes smores for Wolff. This scene is endearing. Lastly, the scene wherein a brave Regis comes to Wolff’s office. Strom appears just when they are getting romantic and Regis hides in the closet. This adorable scene had me chuckling. Through these descriptive scenes, readers not only visualize it but can feel it. Including an epilogue gives readers a view of their life a year later. This clever insertion provides readers with a sense of completion as well as leading her story toward a happily ever after. Well done, Ms. Lex.
Regis works at a coffee bar and is preparing a drink for a customer. But her mind drifts off to think about Wolff Cole and scalding hot coffee runs over her hand! Her co-worker Beth looks at her with a knowing glance as she notices Wolff is sitting over by the window. Wolff is a private investigator currently on assignment working for Regis’ dad. She has drooled over him since she first saw him – and crush keeps getting stronger! Her dad invites him to come to their employee celebration in the back yard of the lodge. Regis is making S’mores and pops one in Wolff’s mouth when he walks up. The way she is looking at him makes the air feel super-charged. She slips him a room key to the lodge and that’s an invitation he can’t ignore!
As Wolff walks toward the lodge, Regis’ dad, Storm, calls him over to introduce Jessica, then walks off. Jessica immediately snuggles up and invites him to have a drink with her. Despite telling her he is not available, she continues her aggressive moves until he finally just says goodbye and walks away. He has someone already waiting for him. And he has no intention of messing that up. Regis is the woman he wants in his life and intends to marry. When will they get their chance to find a HEA? Will Storm try to stop them?
I enjoyed the story line and the characters. But one thing I didn’t like about this story is that in an attempt to make Wolff sound more alpha and maybe rugged, almost all of his thought-dialog and later most of his dialog repeatedly uses the f—word. Not in anger, just saying it to be cool? Not only is it not necessary, but it borders on irritating to those who don’t talk like that. I hardly see it as something endearing to be shoved into every sentence. But other than that, there was little conflict along the way.
Wolff is a private investigator and enjoys his life alone that is until he meets Regis. Regis works in the coffee shop her father owns and its where Wolff goes a lot. Sparks fly between them but neither acts on it initially. When her father invites Wolff to a celebration he is having for the employees he agrees to go so he can spend more time with Regis. However her father tries to set him up with another woman that has a hard time accepting that Wolff isn't interested. When he finally does get his chance to see Regis its everything both of them was hoping for. What will her father do about them being together? Will the other woman cause problems between her father and Wolff?
This is an amazing story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Wolf is a 30+ single, widower, ex military, who owns a security company. Wolf was working on a case at a hotel where he interacted with a curvy, lush single female who worked at the coffee bar. He was so attracted to Regis that he had to see her every day. Regis had a crush on Wolf and was a bumbling mess when he was around. They were both at a evening celebration for the hotel when they decided to explore their attraction. Wolf wanted Regis for his wife but he didn’t want to spook her. Regis was just as attracted to Wolf. The obstacle for them was her father. How could they tell her dad? Was their love going to survive? This story was entertaining, instant attraction, instant love, passionate, and filled with love. It is a quick little read that will make you feel good.

Wolff is co-owner of Cole Security, with his brother and is investigating the lodge for illegal activities, for the own, Storm. That where he met Regis, his clients daughter. Regis is the first woman Wolff has been interested in since the death of his wife, five years ago. Ever since Regis father, Storm, hired Wolff Cole to investigate internal fraud in the lodge he inherited two years, Regis has had a huge crush on him and can't wait to get to work, just to see him. At a bonfire both Regis and Wolff where there and walked away together, to confess their love for each other. Will Regis and Wolff have their happy ever after or will her father, Storm, put a stop to their budding romance. I am volunteering to leave a review for a ARC of this book.
These books are sheer fun they take less than an hour to read so are perfect for when you don't have a lot of time
This latest offering is Wolff and Regis's story Wolff Cole is a private investigator who has been employed by Storm to check out any illegal activity at the lodge he runs Regis is Storm's daughter who works in a local coffee shop she is crushing on Wolff big time and she just about drools every morning when she serves him his caffeine fix. First things first; I like the cover of this book! Wolff is the fourth book in the ‘’Wylder mountain heroes’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. After the death of his wife, Wolff never thought he would find love again. When Wolff meets Regis, he wants her. With Regis being Wolff’s employer/friends daughter, will he still give love a chance? The chemistry between Wolff and Regis is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought they made a cute couple. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
Wolff is a private investigator hired by Storm to look into potential fraud going on at the lodge. When his wife died, he thought he'd never love again. Everyday at the lodge, he get coffee and sees Regis. She's the barista. And Storm's daughter. He's so attracted to her, but she's pretty much off limits to him. She makes the first move, and now he's worried about how her father will take it when he finds out. Despite their age difference, Wolff is completely devoted to her, and I loved reading their story.

I really enjoyed reading Wolf, it was hot, sweet and spicy. Wolf is a widower, who was hire as a PI to see if someone was stealing from the resort. Regis works at the coffee bar at the resort and is the owner's daughter. Wolf is a hot, honest with a tad bad boy in him, during the day he sits ate the coffee bar going over the information while watching Regis.
There is just something about Wolf's character that makes you want to fall in love with him. He proves himself to be a gentlemen, honest and caring. This story was a delight to read and make you want more.

This is a perfect story to read when you just want to chill before bed. Great storyline and it flowed so you wanted to finish. Wolf gets coffee from Regis every day. She's been attracted to Wolf for a long time but figures it will never materialize. Wolf works for her Dad and a PI and her parents would not approve. She finds that Wolf want her also, I love how they took there time to get to really know each other and to watch their relationship develop from slowly. Great HEA> I received a copy of this story for an honest review.
A super steamy older man, younger woman story! I especially like how sassy Regis in, and how confident she is once she makes a decision,. The chemistry between Wolff and Regis is ultra hot and steamy enough to fog your glasses up (if you have glasses). The story is cute, fun and very entertaining,
I received a free advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.
Super quick, but wonderful! Regis is funny, sweet, smart, and just a bit clumsy. Wolff is a huge man, a gentle alpha, and filled with energy. And once he meets Regis on an investigation, all of that energy is focused on her. Wolff and Regis share an intense chemistry and an enduring love, despite the difference in their ages. Fun and sexy, this is the perfect read for a short break. Happy Reading!!

Young barista Regis is crushing on private investigator Wolff when she realizes the feelings are reciprocated. They are some barriers on their way to their happily ever after, but they make it and the Wylder Mountain men have another happy ending. Ms. Lex writes mountain men well and I am looking forward to the next.

I love mountain men stories and how they fall in love. Regis is working in her father's coffee shop, Wolff is investigating his records because someone is playing with the accounts. Wolff has been handling his business in the coffee shop to be near Regis, who also has feelings for him. Read how the life together progresses. Great descriptions of the lodge, coffee shop, Wolf's cabin and the scenery. Written by Cindy :)
Back to Wylder Bluffs for another fantastic read of an older alpha male with a younger woman. Wolff was working as a PI when he fell for his boss's daughter, Regis. They both knew when her father found out about them he would not be happy. Enjoy this wonderfully intriguing short story.

This is another great book by Tarin. Wolff and Regis have such a connection and attraction to eachother. Wolff has seen tragedy but he has also seen love. Regis may be young but she knows what she wants. The characters are so real. You can feel their story. I highly encourage you to read this book.

Wow, talk about an older man staking his claim. Intriguing connection between Wolff and Regis, I so enjoyed how he came to her defense no matter who speaking to her in such a derogatory manner. A bit of drama, but easily settled once the air was cleared. It’s fun to get just a glimpse of the next book in the series.
I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.
A sweet and romantic story about a second chance at love for Wolff and Regis first chance.😍😍 They both fell head over heels in love and nothing could stop them. Short and sweet without drama. Just sweet romance.👍

Regis is a barista at her father's lodge. Wolff is the PI that her dad hired to figure out who is stealing from him. These two meet and there is a mutual attraction, but they don't act on it right away. When the book starts he has already been on the case for two weeks. This is a fast book and it was good, though I felt like Regis needed to grow a little more.
Regis has had eyes and feelings for Wolff, a private investigator, working for Regis's father. Wolff has had the same feelings but needs to reign himself in until he finishes this job at the lodge. Will Regis and Wolff be able to hang on that long without angering Regis's father? This is a very fast paced and insta love read. Hang onto your seat belts 🔥
I really am enjoying Wolff:Younger Curvy Heroine Romance Wylder Mountain By Tarin Lex . Wolff is a Private Investigator hired by Storm to find out if someone is stealing from his hotel . Regis is Storm's daughter . Wolff falls in love with Regis . I recommend 18 and up .
Pretty good. This series is following a similar theme. Meet mountain man, fall in love with mountain man within a day, sleep with mountain man, get married to mountain man. I am going to try to hang in there and read the whole series. Some of the books so far have been exciting. So we will see.
Regis is running her daddy's coffee shop Her dad thinks the books are wrong and some kind is taking money Wolff is hired to check the books but I'm the mean time he falls in love with Regis they keep it a secret til her dad finds out Regis takes over the books cause she is so good with math and they get their happy ever after with a baby girl and twins on the way

A short story with an older man that knows who he wants. I liked that there was hardly any drama and that Wolff didn’t beat around the bush and knows he wants Regis. It’s sweet with a little heartache from the past. I didn’t see their chemistry too much but I liked the story.
