Callum: Wylder Mountain Heroes Book 2
An older alpha hero, younger curvy woman romance

Caitlin
I’ve been doing nothing but working and momming for the last nine years.
I’m losing myself. I need a break. I need adventure!
A jaunt into the woods to visit my best friend and her growing family seemed like a splendid idea at first.
Until I come practically toe to toe with a bear.
A hungry, predatory bear!
Callum is the ultimate mountain man who rescues me. One look in those deep blue eyes, and I surrender.
He’s an entirely different breed of alpha.
And I’d like to get nose to nose…with him.

Callum
I became a forest ranger to preserve what I love most in the world—the Wylder Bluffs.
My job is to protect and serve the landscape as well as the creatures.
All of the creatures.
Especially the doe-eyed, curly-haired, curvy girl who dares to put her boots on my private land, then bangs furiously on my front door, and later faceplants into my earth.
She’s vulnerable, beautiful…
A lesser man might see an opportunity here. Albeit not a much lesser man.
I don’t just see Caitlin tonight.
I see my entire future unfold.

Dear Readers,
Ready for a whole new band of mountain men?
These alpha heroes might dwell in the shadows of the Wylder Bluffs, but when duty calls, they show up.
These are the mountains they call home. The mountains they protect.
And when their sweet, curvy women come for them, they’ll walk through fire to keep them safe, too.
No cliffhangers. No cheating. HEAs guaranteed. <3
Love, Tarin

She's a bad girl his little squirrel

Callum is the second book in the Wylder Mountain Heroes series and is the story of Callum and Caitlin.
Callum is thirty-eight years old and is Forest Ranger, living and working in the Wylder Mountains. He came to the mountain five years ago after his older brother Soren's unit was sent to fight a forest fire. When he came to the site of the fire he felt connected and realized that he loved the mountains.
Caitlin is going to be thirty next week and is a single mother to ten year old Jack. She is friends with Natalie, who came to Wylder Mountain and met Gunnar and stayed. Caitlin runs a travel website that she started as a hobby but it has grown and now she works at it full-time. The only problem is that she never actually gets a chance to travel. But she has come to Wylder Mountain to visit Natalie and Gunnar and to celebrate the first birthday of their son Barry. Caitlin decided to follow in Natalie's steps and hike up the trail following the faded tree markings that Natalie had done. The only problem is that it is getting dark and there is something else in the woods with her. When that something gets too close Caitlin runs and ends up in a clearing with two cabins in it. She runs to the first one banging on the windows and door but no one answers. So she starts to run to the second cabin only to catch her foot on a tree root and fall down. She is ready to make her peace after hearing a mighty roar but nothing happens. But she ends up being thrown over the shoulder of a man and carried into the cabin.
Callum heard something outside and when he investigated he saw a woman lying on the ground with a bear about to get her. He rushed over and let out a loud growling roar and scared the hungry bear away. Once he has her in his cabin he knows he should be madder at her, after all she is a bad girl for traipsing onto his property uninvited and luring in a hungry beast. But when he sees her he just cannot be, as he can't find the heart to be mad at her. Thus Callum and Caitlin meet and she starts her vacation in a whole different way than planned. But with it dark outside and Gunnar and Natalie expecting her Callum knows Gunnar will go looking for her. So he takes off with Caitlin sticking to him to find Gunnar and warn him of the bear in the area. What happens next is a shot in the dark but it grazes it's target and things get even more interesting.

This is a fun and highly entertaining short story with a lot packed into the story-line. The characters are wonderful, quirky, loving, brave, bad in a good way and very sexy. I really liked the epilogue as it was sweet and loving. I enjoyed this book and am liking this series so far.

Callum is the second book in Tarin Lee’s Wylder Mountain Heroes. In this book we have an alpha male hero, Callum, who is a ranger. He like the other men in Wylder Bluff are rugged mountain men with a deep-rooted sense of duty and protecting the women they love. We also meet Caitlin, a 30-year-old single mother on a quest to figure out what she wants to do with her life. She ventures to Wylder Bluff to spend a few days with her friends, Natalie and Gunnar. On her way to their cabin, she takes the wrong path and gets lost in the woods as night falls. Caitlin injures her ankle and is saved by Callum who carries her to his cabin and tends to her sprain. Caitlin feels safe and protected in Callum’s arms. Realizing that Caitlin is late in arriving at their cabin, Gunnar heads out to find her. Will Gunnar find Caitlin? What will happen when Gunnar and Callum meet? What happens between Callum and Caitlin? Will they find happiness? To discover the answers to these questions, you must read this book.

Ms. Lee crafted a strong character-driven plot. Both of her main characters evolve throughout the progression of her story. Their dynamics are fascinating. Ms. Lee does a swell job crafting her characters’ dialog. I enjoyed their internal dialog as it provided a better understanding of their personalities. The banter between Callum and Caitlin is amusing. It is rather amusing when Callum calls Caitlin, “little squirrel.” Ms. Lee’s use of descriptive language painted realistic scenes. When she describes Caitlin’s eyes this way, “her cashmere eyes light up” the reader can visualize the warm brown color of her eyes. I enjoyed the way she had Caitlin reflect and muddle through her coping with mental fatigue over the pressures of her job and being a single mother. I thought it was clever of Ms. Lee to include an epilogue to round out the “ever after life” and set up the next book. Well done, Ms. Lee.

Caitlin has come to Wylder Mountain to visit her friend Natalie and her son, Barry, for his first birthday. Caitlin hears something tracking her on the trail in the woods as the sun goes down. Forest ranger, Callum, finds Caitlin just in time for the bear to come upon her. With Caitlin and Callum, the saying "when you know, you know" applies to these two. Callum doesn't mind that Caitlin has a young son, Jack, because he will love both of them. This is book 2 of the Wylder Mountain Heroes series. A fast and delicious read of two people who find their forever with each other.

A great story

I love how the woman step into the forest, they end up meeting their man. Caitlin and Callum met just that way, she was lost in the forest until she saw his cabin. There was an instant attraction by both of them. Of course, there's more but you'll have to find out for yourself. Thanks for such a good story. Written by Cindy :)

Ranger Callum rescues a lost hiker on her way to friends cabin. Caitlin hears ominous sounds in the woods and panics. Overdue at Gunnar's they head out to reunite the friends. Unfortunately Callum ends up injured so Caitlin insist he needs her care. Things progress quickly when these two are doing first aid. Insta-connection and chemistry zing.

Yes!

Caitlin comes to the mountains to visit her friend Natalie, from the first book. She gets lost and is helped by Callum, the fire at ranger. This is love at first sight at its best. I would recommend reading Gunnar first.

Awesome short read - Callum saves his woman! This is about Caitlin and Callum. Caitlin is there to visit her best friend Natalie who is married to Gunner as their son is celebrating his first birthday; however, she decided to go there and hike her way instead of having someone just pick her up. Well she wanted to do what Natalie did before to admire all the pictures that had been sent to her, only did she also attract a hungry bear and we are not talking about Callum. Callum came to her rescue and when he placed her in his home and wanted to go out and look for Gunner who was sure to be out looking for Caitlin as she was late, she demanded to go along and well Callum got shot. Oh, this was a funny but lovable story. Although this was short – I appreciated the Epilogue as it gave wind of the years passed. I hope Callum’s brother, Soren, is next because he deserves happiness too.

Caitlin came all the way from Florida to the mountains to visit her friend for her son's first birthday, but on the hike to their cabin she got lost and hears some sounds that scare her. She came upon this cabin in the woods that turned out belonged to the forest ranger, Callum. He picked her up from his front yard, where she had tripped and fell. He attempted to take her on to her friend's home, but her husband shot Callum in the leg causing them to return Callum's cabin. Caitlin cleaned his wound and decided to stay with him to take care of him. These two were super attracted to each other to the point of insta-love.

Callum is a forest ranger on the mountain. Caitlin is visiting her friend who lives on the mountain with her husband Gunnar. Caitlin gets lost on her hike and runs into a cabin. The cabin belongs to Callum and he rescues Caitlin from the woods and a bear. There is very immediate attraction, instantaneous. Callum feels so much desire for Caitlin. He knows that this is the woman for him even though he didn’t even know he was looking. Caitlin came to find herself. To find her direction, hope - is that Callum? This is a mountain adventure with hot smoldering passion, tender, sexy love. It will leave you with happiness in your heart and ready for the next one in the series. This is a great series!

First things first; I really like the cover of this book!
Callum is the second book in the ‘’
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Nat is on the way to visit her best friend when she meets Callum. From the moment they meet, their connection is instant.
The chemistry between Callum and Nat is clear to see and I liked them together. I thought they made a cute couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Caitlin runs a travel blog and hired her friend Natalie to take pictures of the Wylder Bluff when she went hiking. Now that Natalie lives on the bluff, with her mountain man and her new son, Caitlin wanted to visit her and see Wylder Bluff for herself. But during that time of year it gets darker faster in the mountains and Caitlin soon lost her way, until she saw a cabin and thought it was Natalie but it belongs to another mountain man, Callum.
Callum is a forest ranger and as soon as he saw Caitlin he was instantly smitten and so was Caitlin, making her forget everything and living in the moment.

This is a quick read, full of love and heat. Caitlin is a city girl, dissatisfied with her life, except for her son. She quirky and independent and tired. Callum is a Forest Ranger, happy on his own, protecting the mountain he loves ..... until he discovers an amazing woman on his property. Falling in love in a heartbeat, these two must figure out how to meld Caitlin's city life (and son) with Callum's beloved mountain. Fun and sexy, this is a great addition to this mountain man series. Happy Reading!!

This is a really quick read. It's full of love and heat but also has some action and adventure. Caitlin is unsatisfied with her life in the city, she only wants her son. She's fun, independent, and very tired from life and trying to make ends meet. Callum is a Forest Ranger and happens to meet Caitlin while saving her from a bear. There is instant chemistry and now they have to figure out how to merge Caitlin's and her sons city life with Callum's mountain life. Loved this sexy and fun story I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A quick read about mountain man, Callum, and curvy girl, Caitlin. On her way to visit her friend, Caitlin does not account for how early it gets dark in the forest. She becomes frightened and ends up being rescued by Callum. Love at first sight, for both of them. I really enjoy reading these stories about women who are out of their comfort zone, but willing to go forward. I look forward to reading the next.

Caitlin. Me. This. Always.

Caitlin is on a trail trying to get to the cabin belonging to her friends Gunnar and Natalie. Callum rescues her from a bear near his own cabin. He doesn't care about her curves, her age, or her son. He sees only her beauty and the good in her heart. This is a nice addition to this series of short books. I enjoyed the chemistry between Caitlin and Callum, and how they take care of each other.

Caitlin has come to Wylder Mountain to visit a friend and to experience one of the places she writes about on her travel blog. However, she gets lost while hiking to her friend's cabin, and is spooked by strange noises in the forest. She arrives at Callum's cabin, and he tells her that the noises were made by a cranky bear, and that she had been in danger.

There is a mutual attraction between Caitlin and Callum, but can a 30 year old single mum attract a rugged forest ranger?

Caitlin and Callum were an amazing couple and the chemistry was perfect. I loved how they met and how they created a bigger family together. Definitely not a book your going to want to miss.

Callum is a forest ranger trying to relax at home. Caitlin is hiking up to her friends Gunner and Natalie ( from book), to see their baby and experience the environment. Taking a wrong turn and bruising her ankle from being followed, of course by a bear, she banks on the cabin door for help. Callum is there not Natalie or Gunnar. Wrong turn. Right house for a possible future. No cliffhanger

I enjoyed this new "Wylder Mountain Heroes" story! It's a short and quick read with a bit of excitement. I was excited to get Callum's story. We got a glimpse of him in the previous book. This is Caitlin, best friend's with Natalie from the previous story, and Callum's story. He saves her from the bear but then she ends up getting him shot. This is a fun read that is cute, sexy and sweet. I really like how the story developed and especially the end.
