The Normandy Run

Rate this book
A father’s search for truth. A deadly conspiracy at sea. A race to stop mass murder.
When Jack McCabe drowns mysteriously in the English Channel, the authorities call it a tragic accident.
His father, seasoned yachtsman Chad McCabe, isn’t convinced. Jack was crew on Tiger Fish, a yacht running illegal migrants from France to Britain—and the deeper Chad digs, the more sinister the truth becomes.
Drawn into a shadow world of smugglers, drug traffickers, and international terrorists, Chad uncovers a plot far darker than anything he imagined—one that threatens to unleash an act of mass murder on a scale Europe hasn’t seen in decades.
He must survive long enough to expose the truth, avenge his son, and prevent a catastrophe that could claim thousands of innocent lives.
From the harbours and storm-lashed waters of the English Channel, from the city of Paris to the coast of Normandy, the hunt is on.
The Normandy Run is a gripping, high-stakes thriller packed with danger, betrayal, and explosive action.

A mystery with enough physical detail that you can see the movie.
The plot is solid. Sailboat enthusiasts will especially enjoy this book.
I received this book as a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

Very fun afternoon read. Interesting characters set in England/France who get caught up in some international espionage, drug running and secrets. Main character is a dad who is just living his life and gets caught up in asking too many questions. Recommend. Was a Goodreads giveaway for me.

Maybe not for me

This sounded like a book I would be really interested in. I was happy when I won it from a goodreads giveaway! However, it took me awhile to get through. The story would be good for a movie- watching the action play out, but it wasn’t a strong read for me. Was disappointed with the rush to the end.
