Barnabas Collins journeys back in time to 1769 in an attempt to put to rest the vengeful ghost of Setauket, a murdered Native American. Setauket has come to Collinwood of 1969 as gardener Charley Tauket and makes four attempts on the life of Roger Collins.
This issue of the Dark Shadows comic was okay. It was a good story until the writers decided to give Barnabas Collins the ability to time travel whenever he wants to. Barnabas is not a super hero. He's a vampire, a member of the Undead.
He does not have the ability to time travel at will just because he thinks it and because he's a vampire. Even in the TV show, when Barnabas time travels, it's either due to a seance going wrong or because he stumbled upon a winding staircase that has the ability to travel through time. He does not time travel just because he thinks it and because it's one of "his abilities". Other than this major hiccup, the story is good and the artwork is fantastic once again.
I especially loved the artwork in the flashback scene 👍.
I think I liked this one better than the first two, and this one had a little moral to it. We get to see another familar character from the show and a few elements are incorporated in (a seance and time travel). There is a little bit of unfortunate language, or politically incorrect terminology used towards the end but that's due to the time in which it was written.
