What Sinners Love is the explosive final book in the Sinners of Hawthorne University series!
Note: The blurb below contains spoilers for the first two books, so I'd highly recommend not reading it until you've finished both When Sinners Play and How Sinners Fight.

All it took to blow my world apart was a single word.
A name.
Sabrina.
Like a patchwork reforming in my mind, snapshots of my past are starting to filter back. And with every piece I remember, fury grows inside me like a hurricane.
The man who captured me wants to bury the past, and me along with it. But I’m not afraid of him. I won’t let him hide his secrets in the dark.
Because I’m not alone anymore.
For the first time in my life, I have people in my corner. Declan and Elias knew it long before I could see it, and Gray has finally realized the truth just like I have—we’re stronger together. We’ll have to be to hunt down the monsters that stalk me.
There are people in this town who are rotten to the core, and my Sinners and I are going to burn them down.
Eva Ashwood has been a reader her whole life and a writer for several years. She loves telling stories of alpha males and the fierce women who bring them to their knees.
She's a sucker for reverse harem, bully romance, enemies to lovers, heroes who redeem themselves, and all the drama and passion of new adult love.
It was a decent ending to the series. I did feel that it was a bit rushed and didn't quite fit into the perfect little box it needed to be in. I wonder if it would have had more of an impact had it been a duet instead.
All the answers were answered. All the people needing dealt with were. Sophie got her closure and her yummy boys.
Pages: 220 My rating: 3.5 Read other books by this author in the future: yes MC: Sophie, Gray, Elias, Declan SC: Max, Aaron, Cliff, Alan
Last part of the trilogy. Finally we find out about the blanks in Sophies memory and why she was in Alans bunker. It a good read. The issue stays the same as in the last books but again this book was more story driven. There is a lot of smut in here.
The first book in this series was good and there was every reason to think the series would be enjoyable . The second book drifted a lot with the storyline but I thought I would give the third book a go to see how it ends. A supposedly street savvy foster girl gets kidnapped gets back to her group of friends and takes no photos, has a shower washing off all evidence and waits hours before going to the police. Once I got to this point I stopped reading and have lost interest in finding out how this ends. Would really help if authors were maybe even a little bit more authentic to their characters and didn't treat their readers like idiots.
It was OK, I was enjoying the plot but at a certain point it hit me how disproportionately Sophie favours Gray. Literally referring to the guys as ‘Gray and the others’, I read quite a lot of RH and it bugs me when it’s so unequal, just keep it as a good story and have one love interest. I would bet Gray appears more than Elias and Declan combined, easily.
Finally we get all the answers and while it's not pretty I'm glad the gang are able to find some semblance or normality after one crazy year. I'm happy Sophie is not related to Cliff but the whole crazy story regarding her past and being owned is baffling to me and made even worse when her own father sold her out. Glad Sophie gets a mother in the end though and has made a lifelong friend in Max. I still think Gray is a bit of a dick and his reasoning is kinda funny considering it all boils down to his family being powerful but not powerful enough. Thankfully Cliff and his father are taken care of but it makes you question how the future will go both at school and in town given his reach. Overall it was an OK series. The audio book made for a quick and easy listen and luckily once I made it past book one I did enjoy it a lot more.

Not a bad series the concept was great. However, the characters felt under developed and the friendships/ relationships felt rushed and surface level. Definitely didn’t need to be a reverse Harlem the relationship with grey had the most development and even that relationship was lacking an rushed. Cliffs ending seemed week and what about his best friend where did he stand in everything was he as bad as cliff? The mean girls we also unnecessary added characters with next to no character development.
Not a bad ending to the series! Definitely got answers for everything among the twists. Still not sure how I feel about the RH aspect of it, as I feel like her connection to Gray was the strongest of the three, and it might’ve worked better just as one. Still feel like this series would’ve worked better as a duet, but Sophie is a great character and I’m glad we got her journey.
I haven't read many reverse harem stories...but those that I have, I have thoroughly enjoyed!!!
This trilogy is my first read by Eva Ashwood, and it won't be the last! This series is a bully, enemies to lovers, reverse harem trilogy.
First off, I really really really LOVED Sophie!!! She is the girl from the "wrong side of the tracks" having grown up on foster care. She unexpectedly lands a scholarship to a prestigious college that ordinarily awards just one scholarship each year...but this year, they awarded two and she landed one of them. Growing up in foster care, she also has no recollection of anything regarding her life prior to the age of 11. She was/is strong and badass, she is willful and won't take any $#!+ from anyone, stands up for herself and stands firm.
The boys...oh the boys!!! HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Hate to love and love to hate. One in particularly makes that remain true for quite some time. As mentioned, this is a reverse harem, so Sophie has multiple love interests...and holy hell, did I say HOT?!?!?! You've got your share of individual scenes, group scenes, voyeur scenes...all of which are panty-melting! Clearly, also as mentioned, this is a bully and enemies to lover romance...and I don't want to spoil the why, so just read it and find out.
The twist...the MAJOR twist in this trilogy...I didn't see it happening, not in the least! It is a major OMG moment!
This is a continuation trilogy, with books #1 and #2 leaving you on a massive cliff hanger, so you need to read in order. All three books are out so you can read them all without waiting in angst on what happens next. Highly recommend!!
I started this a LONG time ago, but for whatever reason, I put this series on hold. A few days ago, I re-listened to the other two books in this series and was brought back to where I left off. [side note: didn’t document the re-read]
Glad I got back to it! It was a “stereotypical” trope but with a unique plot. Especially all the stuff that was brought to light in this book. It was like watching an action movie with a romantic reverse harem relationship at the forefront.
It was interesting and jarring at times, but overall kept my interest the whole time. There were a few times where I was annoyed, but mostly because the “recap” type information that was inserted every third chapter. I understand, though, because most readers don’t binge the hell out of books like I do, so they might need the reminders of where they left off.
Anyway… solid 4⭐️’s and honestly might deserve more if/when I noodle on it longer.
I love that Sophie is so tough and doesn't put up with crap. I love how the twists and turns are so numerous you don't know what's going to happen!
The main thing for me is that Eva has kept the momentum of the plot moving forward and has you guessing how it's going to end right up to the last page. Some series leave you disappointed on the last page...not this one, highly recommend.
This was such a really great ending to this series! We start off this final book with Sophie having been kidnapped and realizes that she has been there before when she was younger. Sophie starts to gain some of her memories back and we finally get all those questions answered as well as a couple new twists and turns. I love the relationship Sophie has with Gray, Declan and Elias. They turned out to be such amazing guys. Definitely recommend this series.
What a great series ending for the Sinners of Hawthorne University. I do not want to give anything away so I will not give any spoilers. I love Eva's works and series so far and this one is no different. She does a great job of creating a world that is full of dark mysteries that unravel little bits at a time. The female lead is strong and capable. The men that love her are very protective and just right for her.
Things are crazy from the start and does not stop until the end. Sophie is one of my favorite characters from Eva. The guys Declan, Elias, Gray and Max are supportive and protective. They are the perfect unit and a great fit for each other.
Overall this was a great series, so if you like a female lead that is fiesty, fun and takes nothing off no one. The sinners are everything that she needs and wants. The pace is fast, the plot is engaging and the characters are memorable.
So I read this in a matter of hours and I’m honestly sad it’s over. Part of me wishes that I could have prolonged it a bit more.
It’s crazy right from the get go, but they never quit. The support Sophie receives from Declan, Elias, Gray and Max is everything. Through the entire book they try to find ways to take down Cliff and Alan, and their fight against them ends in the most epic way. I don’t want to spoil too much.
Eva is an amazing author and her characters are so easy to fall in love with. This isn’t my first series read by her and definitely won’t be my last, definitely a must read series.
the whole three guys thing... a bit strange but very entertaining. i love sophie, shes very strong. everything aligned well and there were no plot holes, which i’m glad for.
This was such a beautiful way to finish the series and all the storylines were wrapped up I like that max and Aaron got closure Cliff and Alan got their just deserts and Sophie got her memories back and not all of her family are awful.
Really liked this one. The memory loss and mystery of who the FMC is and what happened to her as a child held my attention and the men who love her and help her thru the darkness was 🔥💕.
I Give this Book a 4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 5. This was a really great ending to this series, and it thankfully helped pull me out of my book funk. I’m actually really glad that this book focus more on the drama section, and had heat Exactly where it needed it. The drama was very engaging to me, it pulled me right in and kept my attention, and there were some surprising twists as well. Drama: 4.5/5 Suspense: 3.5-4/5 Heat: While there isn’t many scenes in this book for heat, the scenes that were there were really enjoyable! 4.5-5/5. Romance: 4/5 Relationship Type: RH> Reverse Harem: MFMM Pacing: Mid to Mid Fast, but the flow was good.
Loved this series. It was just the right amount of dark, mystery, suspense and STEAMY steamy scenes!
I’m always a sucker for the roles where the main female character is her own white knight and Sophie was pure badass! I felt her reactions and feelings were very realistic. While I’m not a big fan of books leaving on cliffhangers, I feel like she timed the endings just right and the series wrapped itself up well.
I really like Sophie, she actually has normal reactions to everything and she handled most things exactly how I would.
I enjoyed the dynamic between the four of them - starting out with Gray but feeling a connection with Elias and Declan (listen I will always love the kissing his best friend to make him jealous and actually really enjoying it - reverse harem trope). I love love loved the first time Sophie, Elias and Declan slept together.
This was actually some of the best RH smut I’ve read, in others I’ve read it sometimes gets hard to picture and awkward especially when there’s no M/M going on but this was done really well. Mostly because they are willing to just watch and not only do they not get jealous but it turns them on.
I really really loved book 1 and the first half of book 2, it was all going so well, all of their issues were actually college vibes until about halfway through book 2 when the whole framing for murder etc came in. There were some fairly major things in the plot that irked me: • When Gray was working with Cliff to get Sophie out of school because Cliff was going to frame her for her foster mums murder - she was in school? That’s a pretty solid alibi that no one considered. • I feel like not a big enough deal was made out of the attempted sexual assault - surely one of the boys would at least mention involving the police even if she decided not to report it and then her willingly going back to school and seeing him all the time plus voluntarily being alone with him when she needed more information about his dad? Not likely. • Same thing with Reagan and Alan, she was kidnapped and he threatened to murder her but again is happy to sit opposite him while he’s questioned.
The beginning of book 3 did sort of send me into a reading slump I wasn’t excited to read it after Alan slivered his way out of the police questioning, mostly out of frustration, but once I powered through I got through the book fairly quickly. Her mum not being aware of what her dad did was really good.
And finally, Declan is my favourite.

Im torn about Eva Ashwoods books. I like the characters, the smut and at least parts of the story. I mean I like the plot enough to finish the series! But still they don't wow me, and they definitely don't make it to my favourite smut or RH books. The writing is a bit repetitive, the smut also gets to be a bit meh after a while.
The storyline actually managed to take me by surprise, and I'm glad I decided to read the last installment as I was dying to find out about Sophies past. I'm also glad there wasn't an epilogue with a pregnancy and/or wedding!
So if you're looking for some fairly good but basic smut/RH with nice characters, look into this series.

After 3 books I expected there to be more of a struggle to win over the big bad.. there wasn't. In practically two paragraphs everything was tied up neatly with a nice bow. It was a big disappointment to go through all the cloak and Dagger for two books just for everything to end so simply. The scenes with Sophie and the guys were hot.. but it was like that took over instead of the actual story. Sad but true.
It was a good finale to the series but not as good as the first book.
I found it a little frustrating with the pace of the book. It felt like every other chapter what a sex scene that were there to bulk up the book. To be honest I think it would have been a quite nice duet because they were quite short as a trio.
