This book in this series is full of action and gives even more depth to the story, making it overall interesting. It's pleasant to see Ryoma's circle growing too. He probably would be well-known for his skills and for how good-natured he is. The astounding amount of familiars he has would also definitely turn heads and would even leave his name written in history. It's fun to watch his familiars grow exponentially in number though it also leaves me thinking whether he will ever cap the number in the future, and if he does, how will he go about it, or will he just keep taming them as they grow in number. It'll be interesting to stick around and find out about that part too.

The epilogue gave depth to the story. it made me feel both satisfaction and sadness. Satisfaction because, finally, the inhumane condition he was in is finally going to crumble to the ground but also sad because that condition was simply made to torment him. That was just... sad, for the lack of better word to express the utter disbelief I feel. The epilogue is the part that left the deepest impression on me. It was written nicely and it is thought provoking.

I'm excited to read more of Ryoma's story from here on.

This series is gearing up to be a much enjoyable read, and the story points differ so much from the anime, and they are actually better storylines compared to the anime, which they made just a little too cutesy. I like Ryoma as an MC and his tales and musings are pretty enjoyable. I don't particularly enjoy the Jamil family, especially Eliara, who comes across kinda bratty, as opposed to the anime where she was much more mild and meek.

Will be continuing this series, and hoping that it does not bore me out anytime soon.

Ryoma continues to settle into his work as an adventurer, with his first big request a group job to help exterminate the little monsters from the town's abandoned mines. But as he's learning to be an adventurer, and all the risks that come with the job, he's also starting to think about what he might be able to do on the side. After all, his slimes have a lot of useful abilities.

This is a good next step for the story, although it keeps the same laid-back approach of just following Ryoma around in his daily life in this new world. I liked seeing how his obsessive personality isn't just limited to slimes---as soon as he thinks it might be nice to open a business for some side income, it turns into this enormous project that basically has him creating and preparing to open a laundromat.

Powered, of course, by his cleaner slimes.

Character-wise, we get a bit more of the Duke's family with some magic training, but also a good deal more of the adventurers he met in the first book, as well as a new set of kids who may or may not have a bigger role to come. It's interesting to see that Ryoma's various adventures in the first book continue to impact the people around him, as the people of the slums are having some issues finding jobs now that he's more or less taken over the sanitation work, or the management of the city being still somewhat in pieces.

However, the most interesting thing for me was the little extra story at the end, which goes back to Ryoma's former life and shows how his death was discovered. That seems like an ongoing thread, so I hope future volumes will continue to peek back and reveal how his quiet life and death still impacts those he knew.

Overall if you liked the first book then this one is more in the same vein. I rate this book Recommended.

By The Grace Of The Gods: Volume 2 by Roy.

I enjoyed the conclusion of this installment into the "By the Grace of the Gods" world. To have another look into Takebayashi's life on Earth, and the resolution of his death was an intriguing aspect to influence yet another ending. I do wish there had been some hint of the landlord trying to pawn off his building on Tabuchi in Ryoma's absence.

I truly wish I could've given a higher rating this time around. I especially enjoyed all of the monster subjugation quests and the introduction of new multitudes of children. Alas, my annoyance at the over-tease the author places around the grand opening of his shop and subsequent test run, especially not actually included in this book, was just a hard line for me to cross.

Excited for further Ryoma and Slime kookiness to ensue.

I am in love with the series!

I love the slower pacing yet not stopping for boring details. It's slow, but not too slow. At least I think so.

I really enjoy watching an actually smart character make actually good decisions.

Ryoma has a good nature that I can really enjoy and have starved for after reading so many dark books with extremely flawed and evil characters. I miss the slightly more simplistic and friendly character like Ryoma.

I am definitely buying the next book and then gladly will wait for the next one.

This is definitely a new addition to my favourite series.

Loved it and recommend it.

Very good!

I watched the anime first and then was introduced to the series. I really like it! I’m looking forward to finding out what comes next for little Ryoma. It’s a nice change from other isekai stories; Ryoma’s purpose in this world was to simply arrive, so now we get to see his development from a bad life into a good one with no preset mission/quest for him in this new world. Like I said, a nice change of pace!

This was a pretty good story Ryoma continues to use his Magic skills and abilities with Slimes to make things better for everyone around him. There are Badits to fight, a Goblin town is discovered. Ryoma decides that he should try to make it on his own, even though he is a kid(admitedly he is an adult in a kid's body) IN the end he decides to open a store and run a mine using his slimes to make interesting materials.

A solid continuation that's highly entertaining

If you enjoyed the first book this is well worth the price, solid writing with few translation issues. We're starting the see some actual character growth rather then just character progression and in quite interested is seeing what's going to happen in the next volume.

Light novel

42 year old reincarnated as 8 year old magician with memories of martial arts training, etc. Three years of self sufficient lifestyle researching slimes as a tamer, then he makes upper crust friends in book 1, starts a business in book 2. Well thought out with likeable characters.

I really enjoyed the second volume. The part that intrigued me most is that Ryoma started building, working on his dream of opening a laundry service. I also love the originality of the novel - a laundry service run by slimes... only in fantasy right? I also like the part where he4 cleared out the minds and the strategy used to eradicate the Goblins. If you love edgy Isekai this book is for you.

Not much happens in this book, but it was still interesting to see him battling the goblins and setting up his store. After how terrible his life was back on Earth, it’s nice to see him meeting nice people and having a happier life. Also, the short story at the end about what happened on Earth after he left was interesting too.
There is cussing, mostly in the ending short story.

What a great sequel.

I really love the way the story is progressing. The author always keeps everything so entertaining... Even the parts that I would normally find slow, and boring. Can't wait for the next volume!

Like part 1, a simple light hearted isekai slice-of-life light novel. The protagonist is learning about how to make a living, being a bit naive about things but not to an extreme extent. I do hope the gods can meddle with time otherwise their interaction with Earth and this world is real odd.

Nice

Like the first one, this book is also very relaxing. You can read it here and there since there isn’t really any build up for anything.

The writing style leaves me wishing for more descriptions, which is a rare request coming from me. Aside from that I enjoyed the story and how it’s chill vibes is a nice refresher.

Fun

Great read for "tweens" and all others. Light novel indeed. Light hearted with vicious stabs of reality. Fantasy and reality, who knew it could work?

Good

I like ready the differences between the anime and the novel. I enjoyed reading how Ryoma defended those six kids and tried to get them more money. This is a wonderful novel.

By The Grace of the Gods Light Novel, Volume 2 continues where the first volume left off. Ryoma Takebayashi saved the town of Gimul from an epidemic. I called it a pandemic before, but I was mistaken.

Now we find Ryoma using Earth knowledge to demonstrate Alchemy, clearing a mine of monsters, and opening a store. His construction skills are adequate, and he built a two-story building with a basement. Ryoma accomplishes this feat in a meager nine days.

I enjoy the story and the end chapters about the aftermath of Earth Takebayashi's death. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.
