I thought I left my high school bullies behind. Boy, was I wrong. Now they’ve become my temptations… and they’re willing to share.
Matt, Dereck, and Bryce made sure my high school experience was hell. They pushed me to the edge until I saw no other way out, but to run.
After transferring and finishing high school far away from the cruel trio, I’m on my way to becoming the best goddamn nurse ever.
Then, the boys show up on my campus, and everything goes to shit. Working as a firefighter, cop, and paramedic while going to school, they might’ve fooled everyone into thinking they’re the saviors, but I know they’re up to their old tricks. Only this time, it’s not my mind, but my body they’re after.
Too bad I’m not the weak girl I used to be. This time, I won’t run. This time, I’ll face the trio and bring them down to their knees.
Yet the more time I spend with them, the more I see that they’ve changed. My heart is telling me I can trust them. My soul wants all three. Will I be able to leave my past demons behind and give myself to my three men?
Her Temptations is a steamy reverse harm, enemies to lovers, college romance. No cheating, No cliffhanger, plenty of heat, and a guaranteed HEA!
I'm sorry, but books like these make me genuinely question what the author was thinking.
This is a bully RH romance but it has some of the sh*ttiest heroes I have ever had the misfortune of reading about. In the prologue, you discover that the heroine Rowan was invited to a party by one of them (Matt) with the implication that he was interested in her; she was heavily bullied by her other classmates at the time, so she was very excited by this. It turns out he only invited her so he could break her heart by making her watch him have sex with another girl. She goes home and TRIES TO COMMIT SUICIDE because she's so upset.
Fast forward to uni, when she transfers to their one in senior year. They encounter each other again in a bar. Of the three guys (Matt, Dereck, and Bryce) the first two show no remorse whatsoever, in fact they say they didn't do anything major to her, she should get over it, and they muse on how they'd actually 'tap that' now that she's hotter than she was in high school. I wanted to throw up. Failing that, I wanted to murder these so-called 'heroes' myself. But wait, it gets worse:
Dereck goes over to ask Rowan on a date. When she refuses, he HAS SEX WITH HER ROOMMATE INSTEAD, basically thinking 'one girl is as good as another'! Meanwhile, that night, Rowan has a wet dream about Matt. This was the moment I lost sympathy for her. I can't do anything with a heroine as dumb as this.
Made it to 14% and honestly I deserve a prize for that...
We're told in this book that the three male leads bullied Rowen throughout high school resulting in a suicide attempt. This is a HUGE deal and is never appropriately dealt with.
Rowan's response on meeting them again is not believable.
While the guys do sort of half assed apologize for "treating her badly" in the past, not one of them ever really acknowledged the horrific events that must have occurred to push her to that point.
In point of fact, only one incident of that so-called bullying is even mentioned, and while that incident was certainly humiliating for Rowan I don't see how it could have been the straw that broke her.
And to find out that Matt called her parents that night because he thought she might have been upset? WTF?!?! That makes zero sense.
Additionally, while the guys are hot for her on seeing her again, not once do they ever discuss their past actions or what has changed between then and now other than that she "grew into her looks."
Also, the whole self flagellation Rowen does after sleeping with two of the three guys, and everyone's anger (the guys, Carly) was so over the top considering not one of the people involved were in a committed relationship of any sort. And after all that drama and anger, she has sex with the third guy without ever having resolved any of the issues that arose from having sex with the first two!
You can have sex with whoever and how ever many you want to until you agree to be exclusive with someone, so this was a terrible plot device.
And lastly, there's no romance or relationship development here. The guys are hot for her, she's hot for them, and all for no apparent reason except physical attraction - there's no getting to know each other or spending time together doing anything except class and sex and the one night the guys watch her sleep.
I love a good reverse harem, but this isn't one. It could be, if it was completely revamped.

What just happened? For over 5 yrs they haven't seen each other and with once glance at a bar they re-connect and go from bully to lover in a heated second. She is so depressed in her Sophomore year she attempts suicide but desires her bullies as though none of the torment happened.. Which also is not really explained other than one party incident where she thought Matt wanted her at the party. There is nothing else referring to Bryce or Dereck, besides them taunting her to go into the room to bust Matt (what at 15 yrs of age) messing around with another girl. UGH - I handled some other minor typos and missteps while reading the book but 3/4 of the way through I voiced my angst loudly... if they are in their Senior year of college and she transferred schools in her Sophomore year of HS does not equal 3 years for when Hallie the EMT 'saved' her from the OD. Holy Hell, no timelines. The whole thing with Jason had other potential but that went sideways and Rowan so worried about Carly (a roommate she doesn't really get along with or see often due to Carly's lifestyle) - I'm shaking my head. She finally sleeps with all 3 (especially at Matt's workplace, wha??) and then suddenly they have one group sex scene like the guys have shared all the time and there was never any indication they had shared in the past, and everyone knew what to do and where to place....and so on. Next thing I know, they are all graduating, and I could swear the school year had just begun. Again, no timelines... The end quickly wraps up with Jason - leaving in his Sr. yr of college to disappear and the same for Carly since she couldn't face Rowan again. No epilogue to validate the relationships (especially since Dereck told his coach in the fall he was ready to marry Row), nothing about Dereck being quarterback but suddenly he has a cop badge on his grad hat.... police academy comes after graduation so badge must be fake... Left me frustrated for the inaccuracies....
This book ticked me off something fierce. Rowan attempted suicide from being bullied by the three main characters. First off, through out the whole book it didn’t seem like anyone cared that it happened nor the fact that they caused her to attempt. When it was talked about, it was basically brushed to the side. Secondly, Derek was an absolute jerk. There was nothing charming about him. Matt was horrible to her. Bryce was the only one who I would have given a chance. Rowan was a pushover. Don’t even get me started on the scene between her mom and Matt. HORRIBLE. They all treated Rowan like crap and she still got with them. Add in the spelling errors and the lack of chemistry between the characters and you have this hot mess of a book.
This was an intriguing read. With interesting characters. This was a much different read then I'm used to with bully books. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I enjoyed the story of Rowan and her guys. Oh how the rose-colored lenses of youth can block out any warning signs. And just as they can tint everything with unicorns and rainbows, when the tide turns, that tint becomes all doom and gloom. Cryptic, I know.
So as a young girl, Rowan falls for her bullies’ cruel joke and it leads her to make a decision that upends her life. Years later, she meets them again. And they’re still dangerous for her heart. With hearts on the line and friendships tested, the choice seems impossible.
This book touches on some real issues, especially for young women. I enjoyed that Rowan took control of her sexuality and was able to enjoy her time with the guys. And an HEA is a must!
synopsis...nerdy girl gets pranked and tries to commit suicide....years later runs in to bullies from HS at college. Now they all of a sudden want her. She is apparently pretty with no backbone and her version of revenge is sleeping with 2 of them 1 time..... It hurt to read this. It was like a car crash, it was horrible but I had to see it through just incase it got better. Plot has a bunch of holes and unanswered questions. Dynamic is weird....I do not recommend this one and I read a LOT of them.
This story made zero sense and I can’t get over the rushed nature of everything, the zero development, or lack of consequences. This just may be the worst reverse harem I have ever read. Girl is bullied in hs, so bad she tries to end it then see her tormentors years later and within day’s she’s having sex with them?! And the ending what the hell was that?! My advise- don’t waste your time!
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. I have to say sometimes the school bullying I loose interest in but this story I could relate to. Rowanbullied by three boys at school ends up changing schools to get away only to follow her for other reasons when they bump into each other at a bar. It was an emotional book.

Spoiler # # # # # It was good, but not great. My issue is the three guys basic gloss over of her suicide attempt and their part in it. Not once did I believe they were sorry about it. When they see her for the first time in the bar, instead of apologizing, they were basically trying to hook up with her. This could have been a really good book if the suicide attempt was actually talked about in depth by all of them, how it made them feel, how it changed their lives ECT.
There were inconsistencies, her suicide year was sometimes referred as 6 years ago, other times three. Reference to Bryce becoming a doctor , when he is in art. Carly obviously helped Jason but nothing references. Just letting her bullying go, and then reporting being roofied to cops. She is going to be a nurse, she knows that has to be reported.
Ok read nit what I expected. I can’t believe a girl that was bullied to the point of attempting to end her life would so quickly not only for give the three. After seeing them in a bar and hating them still in a week has sex with two of them. Also was not thrilled how the ending left it at their college graduation
This book does have a HEA however there is bullying and a suicide attempt right from the start. The author was very sympathetic with this and once Rowan is in college she is a stronger person. I loved the guys rescue at the Jason situation but more should have been done with him.
A cute standalone book. High school bullying drives a girl to attempt suicide. Senior year of college she sees all three of her bullies in her class, still hot as ever. Now they've changed and all want her. I liked the story very much, wish the ending had more.
What an awesome read this one was. I love that the characters are written so well. Their personalities were so vibrant and fun. I also love the portrayal of college life, the fun and angst the creepy dude and the self absorbed girl.
Awesome plot! The characters will become your new best friends! The three hot handsome guys BFF’s(ex bullies), beautiful, broken girl (bullied) her BFF, evil roommate, and families (you wished were yours). Brings back high school memories (yuck), helps to view them in a different light, see how maturity (except for brief revenge moment) makes you a better person! Forgiveness can set you free, revenge however, will bring additional grief and harm to you! Overcoming the heartbreak, grief, humiliation, and betrayal leads to the greatest gift of all love! Loved it!!! At least a ten star story, it makes you feel, think, and rejoice! Although you do have a moment or two where you really would like a little revenge against certain a...holes!!!
This book is absolutely amazing! Rowan is bullied in high school by Matt, Dereck and Bryce. An embarrassing night pushes her to the edge but her parents arrive home in time to help her. Now in college, she is shocked to find that they boys are back and in one of her classes. An attempt at revenge backfires and she finds herself involved with them in ways she never imagined. An angry friend and a jealous guy who wants to be her boyfriend will put her in danger once again but the guys will be there to save her. The four of them realize that their feelings about each other have changed since high school and they agree to give a relationship a try.

The opening sequence of scenes was heartbreaking and set the tone for the story. I’m not sure if it gave enough background to truly understand her actions as drastic as they were. I think that the author clearly wanted to paint a picture of her trauma that made it feel like it was ongoing and in that she was successful. Flash forward to the current time and I had high expectations of her revenge. I liked how the author wove the lingering emotional impact from the past with multiple points of view of the present. It helped me to understand her current actions as well as their reactions. A good story.

This book was marvelous! This is the first book I've read by author Amber Thielman but I will be reading more! The characters were exciting. In high school Rowan Bates was bullied by the popular trio: Matt Nelson, Dereck Denny, and Bryce Conner. She was bullied in the worst possible ways. Three years later Rowan is in college and going to school to be a nurse. She has finally found happiness within herself. That is until she finds out the trio are enrolled at her college and they even have some classes together. Now Rowan is tougher than she was in high school. The trio seem genuinely interested in her forgiveness. Is Rowan going to play them for revenge or will the chemistry win out like it did before? This book is a must read and I highly recommend!
*spoilers* This book does cover/mention some sensitive subject such as overdose, suicide and rape. Please take caution reading this book if these topics affect you. This is a great book! It covers some very hard subjects such as suicide, bullying and rape and I feel that the author went about writing about these very well. I've read many reverse harem books and this is another great one to add my shelf. The characters have great chemistry with each other and this is noticeable pretty much straight away once the book gets going.

Now, I’m not really one for bully romances. I mean, what are we hoping for with these stories? Redemption? Reformed bad boys? Comeuppance? Questionable situations. But this one by Amber at Helmand is not your average bully romance. Even with the reverse harem twist, this story provides more. Rowan grows as a person, more confident and assertive. Their relationship isn’t smooth sailing; there’s a lot of past hurt and current drama to deal with, but you’re glad for it, because the real world is messy, and this makes the story more realistic. Maybe I’ll need to rethink my stance on bully romances after all...
Ok, I did not think I would like this book because High School/College Bullies are not normally my choice to read but throw in the Reverse Harem tag and you had me hooked. I am so glad I decided to try this book because the stories of Rowan, Matt, Derick and Bryce was very entertaining and the characters were perfect. This is a good enemies to lovers book but without the usual mush that most authors write. After this book I added Amber Thielman to my favorite author list and can't wait to read more of her books.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
A very entertaining story! Rowan runs into her three high school bullies Matt, Dereck, and Bryce. The three boys fall hard and want to get into her pants. Rowan hates them . . . or does she? They will all have to work through the demons from the past, current rivals and jealousy Tao reach their HEA/HFN. There was so much going on, that I couldn’t put this book down. This story will definitely be a re-read for me!
I received a free advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a fair and honest review.
This was really good. I liked the characters and it was well written. What i liked the most was how it was slightly different to other bully romance books out at the moment. With this story the bullying takes place in the past and the present is more about letting the past go and moving forward. I actually really liked this and I liked how the MFC dealt with her growing feelings for the guys. Would definitely read more from this author. Highly recommend.

A complex, sexy, riveting read... When I read the intro about high school bullies I just knew it wouldn't be for me but then I've come to know this author's work & I'm so glad I took the leap. Those horrible juvenile bullies had no idea of the horrific consequences of their actions but when they reconnect with their victim they feel guilty & want to win her over. Will she open her heart to these three young men who have become admirable adults, can a menage a cinq really work? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I really enjoy RH stories so I gave this one a try despite the bully theme. I had a hard time with the fact that the author glossed over Rowens suicide attempt and made her a bit ambivalent about it. The boys were shallow and aside for the insta-lust with Rowan and had no reason to grow past their bully selves that they presented to her in their first meeting in college. I enjoyed the RH aspect and the story built between the three of them and would have appreciated a deeper dive into the characters.

*I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* I didn’t think I would enjoy this one, I gave it a go because the idea of the three bullies intrigued me, however because it wasn’t my usual genre I wasn’t expecting much. But I loved it, it was well written with well defined characters instead of just constant sex and erotica like I was worried it might be. Yet it was still incredibly steamy and enjoyable, definitely a good introduction to the genre.
