Unabridged and Unaltered, a Fully Illustrated Third Edition detailing Masonic Initiation Rituals, along with Grips, Passwords and Ceremonial Objects, to include the Three Basic Degrees of the Ancient York Rite, and Four Additional Advanced Degrees, with Extracts, Appendix and over One Hundred Highly-Detailed Illustrations.
So much for the secrets! Step by step of the sacreligious rituals and rites. If you are educated in the "meanings", this will solidify your decision on the morality of freemasonry.
This book is boring as hell. It's tedious and repetitive but I had to give it two stars. I got it out of a curiosity of the link between the Mormon (I'm a former) and Freemason ceremonies. The founder of Mormonism was himself a mason, a fact most Mormons are unaware of. Shortly after his induction, as chronicled in his personal diary, he presented the Mormon temple ceremonies to his followers. He claimed they were divinely revealed, but I can personally attest to the plagiarism, now thanks to this book.
An interesting insight on the rituals and symbology of up to the 7th degree (Royal Arch) of freemasonry. It also includes sufficient and clear illustrations.
This is interesting as a historic piece but it is not the sort of thing one would read cover to cover. It is also not a good place to start for those interested in becoming Freemasons for several reasons. I recommend not buying this book unless you already have a pretty solid knowledge of Masonic ritual and are curious how it has changed over time.
Very good insight to the inner working of the Freemason society. Anyone who feels the need to learn more about the Freemasons, I strongly urge you to read this book!
