A particularly delightful read with a very welcome new storyline on the zombie (or in this case, the Vix) apocalypse. Beautifully written from the standpoint of storytelling, but the sheer number of typographical errors became rather astonishing to me. It seems as if this author simply wrote out thoughts as they occurred and never looked back. I honestly don't understand how you can author a story of this length and not go back and at least proofread your work. The errors became very distracting throughout, but particularly towards the end of this installment. There are times this appeared to have been written by an elementary level writer, so fast and often do the errors continuously pour out. Mr. Fritschi, you have created a very compelling read in a genre that has been beaten to death by writers that often have nothing new to contribute... virus comes, people turn into flesh eating monsters, monsters nearly wipe out humanity... blah blah blah. But you waded through the standard mumbo jumbo admirably and created a version that I found very interesting and I found myself deeply engrossed. But repeatedly, errors that really should have been caught at a bare minimum by you (preferably by a professional editor), yet were left as they were written and subsequently removed away any joy I had building reading this. Typos have become, sadly, standard fare in Kindle books. It just seems to me this is your work of art. Treat it as such and do us all a huge favor: proofread your art before you toss it out there. As if it doesn't matter. It does matter to those of us who are voracious readers looking for something different.

I love this series but.......

I absolutely love this series but he needs a good proof reader. The mistakes I caught in the 1st two books were way too numerous to count and list here. One big one is until the 2nd half of the 2nd book he called his former spec ops team NIGHT DEVILS, then, he started calling them NIGHT STALKERS. I'll finish the series, but cringe every mistake I catch because it drives me nuts, and makes me want to write the author. I catch things in Stephen King novels as well, nobody's perfect, but to be better one should ALWAYS strive. Thanks for a good series that I'm binge reading. It's a great story, one that hasn't been written to death by other zombie authors, and you should most definitely read it regardless of the mistakes!

Brilliantly written plot that you have to keep following

Brilliantly written plot that you have to keep following as the characters and story link between the next excellent phase of the operation and the team begins to grow into a special operations unit from the wildest of beginnings I am looking forward to starting the next book now as the series is well written and has plenty of action

Picked the second instalment of this military zombie action series as a late Xmas present to myself and I am so glad I did.
From the opening pages the action comes thick and fast. Chris Fritschi knows how to immerse the reader in the unfolding events as well as craft a fun, action packed story. I finished this in under 48 hours simply because it was so difficult to put down.
I can't wait to see where Tate and the gang go from here!

Another brilliant book in this series. This second book is just a great and well written as the first book in the series. It grabbed my attention from the get-go and held it to the very last page. Wonderful read and worth staying up over night to read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

awesome!

So glad I listened to that Facebook kindle ad for this series. The first book pulled me in, and this one continues the trend! I love the realism, and I also like how our heroes aren’t perfect at all, but are training up to be really tough hombres. Really dug the plot of this story too! Can’t wait for the next one and more!

Even better than book one and the conspiracy story line has developed nicely. Plenty more action in this one but still easy to read and more character development. I possibly could have given it 5 stars, but for the number of typo and grammatical errors. These were not of a nature to interrupt my reading flow (or it would have been 3 or 2 stars), but they were regularly noticeable for me.

Book 2 of The Grave Diggers ,The Suicide King , was another thrilling ride with Tate and his team. With only his team that he can trust , Tate wages a war against a ruthless drug lord. A very compelling read. Very hard to put down.

Interesting

The story line is compelling. There are times in the book that it seems to much information is given when its not needed might just be me. Overall it was a very enjoyable book.

Solid

A solid second instalment. This was more military action than zombie book but it told a good story, slightly off centre. The characters still don't convince me or have me caring whether they live or die yet though.

Fast paced.

A fair go at an action packed plot with just a few gender mistakes to confuse the reader. From the outset the plot gripped you and as the story unfolded it did not disappoint.

A good narrative, and some further character development, but it was a little repetative with some of the descriptions from the first book. This is probbaly only noticable having read them back to back.

A few hours worth of reading and dystopian escapisim.

Great read

I don't normally do 'Zombi' type
books but this series is well written & the characters are well developed avoiding the usual clichés. Definitely worth a go.

So, this was a really good book. Zombies and fighting the battle against them. I loved the twists and turns and the little bit of who-dunnit that can be found in it. The book takes a twist on the typical zombie apocalypse where normally there's not much fight back against them - and it gives a fighting chance which I loved. The covert ops was a nice touch as well. There were a few minor errors - grammar errors.

The Suicide King (The Grave Diggers Book 2)

A fast paced storyline with nonstop action scenes and grizzly zombies! Add in some honest, and some not so honest, characters. Finally, mix together with some old fashioned gear in the hands which are prepared to hold this Country together. Amazing read!

This books starts out an a breakneck pace and continues that way. The action doesn't slow much over the course of the story. if you like military or zombie fiction, this might be your thing.
