This book is based on W. Edwards Deming’s famous concept “The System of Profound Knowledge”. Although he conceived it before the internet, or even Artificial Intelligence, became popular, the idea anticipated intelligent algorithms, and the efficient collaborated between Human and AI. A system does not only connect employees with colleagues, but also with values, ideas, regulations, providers, clients and other external stakeholders. Implementing system-thinking into the Ethics & Compliance-function means to add a third dimension to Deming’s concept of the interconnected time.
