Everything we achieve in life require preparation. We prepare for exams to pass classes that lead to graduations. We prepare for jobs, which lead to growing in our careers. We plan out areas of our lives for most of our life. However, how often do we prepare for success in relationships? Do we truly get to know ourselves before we invite others into our space? Preparation when it comes to relationships is not solely about making yourself presentable for a mate. It is about becoming the best version of yourself to avoid falling into desperation and settling. It is time to become who you want to be, face yourself, and do the work! It is impossible to love someone else without loving yourself first! Rediscover who you are during the wait by preparing so that you do not fall in to despair!
This! Although I am already married, this book has many valuable lessons I can apply in my marriage going forward. It IS tough and marriage should not ‘feel like a hard chore’, but it does require major intentionality. The flow of the text kept me engaged. The message was very impactful. Kay S put the work in to deliver a profound body of work.
