A new, sexy, funny enemies-to-lovers romance from Sue Wilder.
LIS Awkward is having a drop-dead gorgeous man charge into your bedroom just as you get out of the shower. With a deputy sheriff with him, who is convinced you're an intruder. Even worse? He had every right to do it. Even though the house is yours--oh, and he's your neighbor and catches you in every other embarrassing moment until you're convinced the Universe is against you and this new life you have to start. And did I mention that he's drop-dead gorgeous? And exactly what you do. Not. Need. But the heart makes its own rules and a girl has a choice. If he's worth the risk.
CALEB
Talk about a cluster. She invades a house she claims is hers, while I'm responsible, so, of course, I have to rush in. And she's standing. Naked. With that towel. Doesn't stop there. Just when I'm pulled in other directions, trying to keep my uncle from driving the company into another version of cluster, this girl disrupts. Everything. It's not enough that she's beautiful. That she belongs here more than any woman I've ever known. She has to disrupt the privacy in my cove. The routine of my life. When I need to focus and stop thinking about what she looks like. Naked...

This book had it all! Exciting from the very beginning, every paged turned filled you with excitement and things about the people who were in this story. Lis was abused by her boyfriend Fort. She left him and he took revenge on her, threatening her and scared her so she ran from New York to the coast of Oregon where her dead father had built her a house.. She leaves in the middle of the night, takes a flight out of the city to Oregon. She arrives at the house, of course no one knows she is coming. The house is guard ed by Calab. He thinks the house has been broken into, calls he buddy who is a cop and goes to check it out. Loved the story. The chemistry between Lis and Delay are off the charts. Enjoyed reading this book! Excellent in everway. ENJOY
I am typing while tears run down my face...this is a beautiful story with just enough intrigue, and connections to what we want to believe in and out of this world, with wonderfully unique characters and a jaw-dropping setting that really sets to tone for all of it! This will go down into my personal list of best book, those that cause a bit of heartache and give me a pause to savor all the feels.
I have only been to the Pacific Northwest once, and somehow, that short visit comes back to me on every page. This book delights goal to visit again!
Risk – Sue Wilder – So I won the second book in the series, and I was pleased as punch that the first book was on Kindle Unlimited! I had no idea what to expect from this book. It took some slogging to get through the beginning because it felt a bit chaotic. But as the story unfolds, that initial chaos makes more and more sense. This one sucked me in with the force of a riptide, and blended the sweet with the sad so beautifully. I can’t wait for book two!! Happy Reading!
OMG the book was so good. Lis and Caleb story was one of the best love stories I've read in awhile. 2 broken people who deserved each other. By the end of the story, I was crying. Simply beautiful!
Overall, the story line was good. Lid (FMC) and Caleb (MMC) are well developed and have chemistry. The plot was interesting, a little bit of suspense, some humor and some heat.
However, I feel like every time I finally got into a reading flow it was interrupted by broken sentences/one sentence broken into two: “If I ever. Needed him.” Every time it happened I stopped reading in frustration. I know it was intended to show importance or add drama but it left me annoyed.
This is not your typical romance novel, it has incredible depth and heart and a little bit of mystery/who's the bad guy. I loved the main characters, their growth, but Sue Wilder also gives us friends to our main characters who you absolutely adore. Five stars, I am so happy I discovered this author!
It took a bit to get going, im not a quitter and im glad I didn't stop. I loved the instant connection they had. I also loved how the 3 friends were so good together after so much. I really enjoyed this book.
This book is fantastic. It takes you on a wonderful journey filled with laughter, romance and some angst, but not to much. The characters are well developed. You get both pov, H and h. This is my first time reading this author, but it won't be my last.
Sweet story of Caleb and Lis, both overcoming their baggage together. I did however feel bad that Eddie, who was a challenged character, kept having more bad things happen to him.
Unfortunately, I can only give this story a 3 star review. It honestly just was not that great...the story moved extremely slow in the beginning, I craved more, then last quarter of the book was like a race to all of these twists and turns in the plot. I was invested to finish the book but i wouldn't recommend.
