This book is the newest edition of the historical record of The Gideons International, written by Jeff Pack who joined The Gideons in 1998.

About the author

Jeff Pack is former Director of Communications for The Gideons International. He is a speaker for The Gideons in churches and other events. Pack is an avid marketing professional having helped build several technology companies including Beam Mobile, Griffin Technology, and Chase Research. He is active in mergers and acquisitions, and sits on the boards of several non-profits.

Jeff and his wife Donna live outside Nashville, Tennessee. They are parents of Cayce Pack, working with refugees in New York City, and Rocky Pack, working with technology in Los Angeles. When not writing, Pack is collecting vintage guitars (52 and counting) and traveling abroad (40 countries and going). He is a long-time, Guide Book Gideon, member number 279244.

Hubs joined the Gideons so naturally I must read about them. Excited to see what a stable, consistent vision the Gideons have had for over 100 years. I love their simple message of making the Bible accessible and telling people about Jesus. No political debates, no getting involved in social topics of the time, just pass out bibles and point people to Christ.

This book is a newly issued history of the Gideons International. It goes decade by decade, discussing leadership, new programs, and important milestones. The book also makes an effort to put the events in the context of the national and world events of the time.
