Tall Dark Stranger: Tarot for Love & Romance

Rate this book
For centuries, the love-struck, lovesick, and lovelorn have consulted the tarot-a tradition still thriving today. Tall Dark Stranger makes it easy for anyone to explore matters of the heart through tarot.

Corrine Kenner's tour of the tarot begins with its colorful, romantic history. She goes on to describe the deck itself-explaining its structure, suits, symbolism, archetypes, and astrological associations-while relating its special significance in love and relationships. The second part of the book is devoted to the nitty-gritty of tarot choosing a deck, preparing for a reading, asking appropriate questions, timing events, and interpreting cards and spreads. By the end of the book, readers will have a powerful edge in conquering the ever-mysterious ways of love.

Very good for general tarot as well as love tarot specifically. Example spreads are useful. Originally bought for the cover (it’s beautiful!) but was pleasantly surprised.

This book is really good for those who want to see the cards more in the relationship angle. She comes up with many good insights and she writes about all the cards. The only downside is that the book has no spread at all. I combine this book with Taking The Tarot To Heart by McElroy, that book has so so content but great spreads. These two books go well together I think.
