This is the last book in Rafe and Eva's trilogy and we finally get to see what will happen to the band, now that Rafe has chosen Eva over everything else...
I figured with the ending of the previous book that this one would be chockful of angst but turned out I was wrong on that count... Eva and Rafe finally get to be who they want to be... a couple in love. No more hiding, no more pretending.
It also means a little adjusting for Levi though. I actually wanted a bit more on that front, to be honest. It all felt a bit too easy maybe. From the very beginning, which means the first book, I have been a Levi fan and that hasn't changed. So even though I enjoyed reading about Rafe and Eva and even though I wanted them to have their hea... I wanted to read about Levi more.
This book did feel a bit like the intro to his story so I can only hope it is gonna be awesome and he will find the love he so hugely deserves. What can I say... you can't change your favorite.
Once they are in my heart, they are stuck in there and so I am on pins and needles to read more about Levi. I also really enjoyed Hudson and Molly's characters and I hope there will be plenty more about them as well.

I love the Black Heart Still Beat world. Rule is the third book in the series and it’s continuous so you have to read the other two books first.
Rafe is really to take a leap of faith. It’s all for her. Eva is different and worth risking everything. Can he convince her to re join the tour and can they convince his brother that this can work?
This isn’t a love triangle book in the sense there is a choice but it’s a messy family relationship. Levi is out of control. Rafe has always put him first but now Eva is more important. Can she keep the boys together?
There is another book after this and Rule will leave you wanting more.
The couple are strong but this is still an emotional read. Can they have it all or will Levi ruin everything.
This is a great rockstar world to get lost in.

Gah! Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love Rafe and Eva any more. Boy, was I wrong! I fell even harder for these two along with all of the others that make up this band family.
At the end of Rise, we finally saw Rafe put his own happiness first when he chose Eva over the band. Now the state of the band is a total mess, and the tour has come to a screeching halt. Rafe and Eva must now make a choice. Do they continue to walk away from it all or do they go back and rock that world?
Rule is the epic conclusion to Rafe and Eva's love story, and also the beginning of so much more. Now while this book is low on angst, there is still plenty of heat, heart and drama to keep you entertained. This series is definitely a must read! I've enjoyed it immensely and can't wait to see what's in store for us next.

But I'm sure that we will see them again, at least once, but I'm wishing for more appearances, since i would love to read the stories of every other member of the Black Hearts still beat!!!!
I love these guys very much and i'm craving for more and more!!!!

In the previous book, we saw Rafe to make a very hard move and to choose Eva over his brother and the band....
Yep, he proved himself on Eva, but his heart and mind is still heavy and in a bad place...

Rafe was a good man!!!! A man with a heavy load upon his shoulders. He was always the protector, but for once in his life, he has to lean into someone else and to think for himself and this is something that he is not used to...
Eva's love and kind personality has so much power, not only for Rafe, but to anyone around her... She is the glue that can bind them together for ever!!!!

I can't believe we are here... the end of Rafe and Eva's story! It's been an amazing, emotional, complety riveting ride! I've loved every second I got to spend with this group of characters. They are an epic, messy, broken bunch and I've loved watching them become a family and grow as individuals, couples and one big family.
We not only got to see all our favorite characters but we got to meet some new ones too! A certain someone that rapidly became someone important and is bound to change the game and someone's life! I'm guiddy over them. But no one has me swooning more than Rafe. His relationship with Eva is so sweet, I just love them. They have such an amazing connection and understanding of one another. He was so romantic in this book but also possessive. It was legit the best of both worlds and I was here for it. Eva is pretty lucky!
Rafe had me all kinds of emotional in this book. My heart felt so much for him. Being torn between the love of his life and his brother was so hard on him, not knowing what to do, how to feel... I love him so much and seeing him in pain hurt. And although Levi is a d*ck most of the time, I love him too and was a mess for him as well. I can't wait to see what happens with him. I feel like he's finally ready to get some help. I cannot wait for his book, to get inside his head and see his thing with Phoebe up close gah.

It's a whole journey of chasing dreams, fighting demons and finding love. This series will give you all the feels, excitement, drama revolving the music world. You get to meet amazing characters, see strong genuine friendships rise and florish, listen to some beautiful music, fall in love with a new world and most of all witness a beautiful, emotional love story! Rafe and Eva are two star crossed lovers that connect their broken pieces and manage to build each other back whole.
Each member of Black Hearts Still Beat is amazing and I cannot wait to get more of them. Levi is getting is own book (YES!) so I'm praying the others do too eventually because from the bits and pieces of Hudson and Molly and Damon's novella.. their books are bound to be pretty epic too! I need.

I can hardly believe that we have reached the end of Rafe and Eva's journey. Their story has been such a wild ride.
L.A. Cotton puts her all into her stories and it shows in her storytelling. Her writing style is one that I connect with so easily. Her writing invites you in and makes you feel so at ease. I am blown away by her writing skills time and time again. She plots out her stories so carefully and she always surprises me with what she comes up with. I am never disappointed. I really like where she went with this story and I love how Levi's story was set up for the next book.
These characters have come to mean so much to me. I have been completely captivated by them. They have worked their way into me so much that I can feel them in my bones. I honestly hope that L.A. Cotton decides to give each member of Black Hearts Still Beat their own story. I may have to riot if she doesn't. At least we know that Levi's story is on the way. I loved how full of emotion this book was. The characters expressed their emotions so viscerally and devastatingly. The main characters had so much depth and such incredible character growth. Some of the side characters even had some amazing growth.
The romance in this book was heart-melting. Rafe and Eva finally get to be together and they don't have to hide. Even though there are still a lot of hurdles for them, they still manage to devote themselves to one another. Rafe had some awesome romantic gestures in this book that had my heart singing.
Overall, this is a riveting story that really packs a punch. A rock and roll bad boy and a country sweetheart are both broken souls that find their way together and find that their two broken halves make a whole. It really is such an uplifting and heartwarming story at its core. This is a rockstar romance that you won't be able to put down. I cannot wait for Levi's book!

A wonderful conclusion to Rafe and Evas love story.
They are a perfect match for each other.
Rafe continues to help her through this new found fame and intense music scene. While Eva shows Rafe that he can be vulnerable and loved.

We also see more of the black hearts band members and are introduced to a new character that may be the focus of Rafes brother Levi -who will have his own book.
I look forward to more heartache and songs and seeing where the world tour takes them.

Rule the Finale is the 3rd book in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and is the conclusion to Eva & Rafe's story. It can not be read as a standalone.
This part of the story starts right where book 2 ends. I really loved the start and seeing Eva & Rafe together while they try and figure out how to get back to where they want to be relationship wise, music wise and what to do about Levi. Once back on tour the tensions are high and things aren't going to be easy for these two. Trust's were broken and the rest of the band aren't all welcoming to their return.
The middle was a little slow for me and not much was happening in the way of Eva & Rafe. There was some drama woven in here and there and a lot of it comes out at the end of the story. This felt more like a prelude to Levi's story and I do feel a lot of the drama wasn't explored enough but I'm hoping it will be the main focus in Levi's book which I am so beyond excited for as I love him & his broken soul so freaking much.
I did enjoy this book & I love Lianne's writing style but I also believe that this could've worked better as a duet rather than a 3 book series

I couldn't have wished for a better ending for Rafe and Eva's story! In the last part of this amazing adventure L.A. gives us desired happily ever after, which these two deserve like no one! Eva and Rafe's relationship was full of ups and downs, a real rollecoaster of emotions. Seeing them together and happy was everything I could wish for!
I was delighted that Rafe finally decided to prioritize his own happiness. I loved his character in previous parts, but in this one he stole my heart completely! At the same time, I was hurting for Levi, and even though there were many times when I was mad at him, I adore this guy and I believe that he’ll find his own HEA. And sweet Eva... a girl who has gone through so much... She's the glue that keeps everyone together. My admiration for this girl has no bounds!
Rule is also an insight into the dynamics between band mates. Each member stole a little bit of my heart and I really hope that I’ll get to know the detailed stories of each of them.

This is defiantly a must read series! I absolutely fell hard for Rafe and Eva and as you get to know them and see their love unfold you also can’t help but fall for the rest of this amazing band and their people!
They are a mixed up bunch and definitely more than Eva thought she could handle but at the end of the day they are “family”! Rule is the epic conclusion of Rafe and Eva’s story but also the start of so much more! The world isn’t done with Black Hearts Still Beat and neither am I!
I loved seeing Eva grow from her timid shell as she fought for the love she deserves! She didn’t back down and she’s the rock that the boys needed to ground them! But they are also her strength! Each member of this group brings so much to the table and as they grow they realize change is coming and maybe, just maybe it’s the change they all need!
What really made my heart soar is the love Rafe holds for Eva! You see him change and finally do what he hasn’t done before! It shakes the group to its core but it’s what has been needing to be done! And Levi oh Levi! My heart loves this broody rocker like no other and I can’t wait for him to shine because his light wether he knows it or not is the brightest!

Un po’ ripetitiva e tirata per le lunghe, questa storia si poteva concludere con il libro precedente allungando un po’ l’epilogo. Sono però curiosa di leggere la storia di Levi.

oh bummer...
you know that feeling that creeps up on you, after you've finished a book, that the author didn't really have that much "new" material to write about BUT she just had to finish and wrap up a series, a trilogy or whatever....
well, this is a book just like that...
you know that feeling that creeps up on you, after you've finished a book, that the author didn't really have that much "new" material to write about BUT she just had to finish and wrap up a series, a trilogy or whatever....
well, this is a book just like that...

Rise(Book 2) left off with our lovebirds reconnecting and the band, Black Hearts Still Beat in shambles.
In this “finale” decisions are made, lines are drawn and now Rafe & Eva must face the world together. Changes are coming to the boys of Black Hearts Still Beat and the main struggle here is everyone finding a new rhythm.
The love between Rafe and Eva really shines in this book. They’re just so damn sweet and Rafe is as swoony as ever!
Taking my hand, he pressed it against his chest, right where his heart lay. “Feel that... it beats for you. I don’t know where this thing with the band is going, or what lies ahead, but I do know one thing, Evangeline Star Walker, I don’t want any of it without you by my side.”
While I love this author’s writing and the way she packs in ALL the FEELS, there wasn’t much that actually happened in this book. For it being a finale, it felt like it was mostly building things up for what’s to come in Levi’s book (which I AM super excited for because Levi has been a favorite of mine from that first scene between him & Eva, I have a soft spot for tortured heroes). A little anticlimactic but I’m happy to read anything involving these BHSB Rockstars! I’m still hoping Hudson & Molly get their HEA.

What an ending to the Black Hearts Still Beat Series! L.A. Cotton penned another amazing book with Rule: The Finale. It completed this trilogy perfectly. I couldn't get enough of Eva and Rafe, as well as the rest of the Black Hearts. I highly suggest reading this book and series, you won't regret it.

An amazing ending to Rafe and Eva’s story! Their love is complicated, messy and sometimes painful but this trilogy stole my heart. At some points I didn’t know if they would be able to get their HEA’s after everything they have been through but I’m so happy with their ending.
I loved all of the characters, old and new and I can’t wait to jump back into the world of Black Hearts Still Beat and find out what is in store for other band members.

Ladies and Gentleman The Finale is here😍
I‘ve been waiting for this one after the cliffhanger from book 2. The Finale for Eva and Rafe was pretty good but sadly a little to sweet for me. I expected another showdown between Levi and Rafe where they make up afterwards or something. Just anything to make it a little bit more I don‘t know angsty in regard of the brothers.
Other than that the story war sweet and I loved every bit of it. It felt more like a set up book for Levi then a finale for Rafe and Eva. Which honestly isn‘t so bad because I‘m sooo excited to finally read from Levi‘s perspective and see what‘s going on in his head.
Also Hunter and Molly. Do we get a book for those two or will we see some stuff in Levi‘s book. I already can‘t wait for the next one.
Rafe and Eva are obviously perfect for eachother. Their „ending“ was pure and sweet. This finale was a fun read and it sums up Rafe and Eva.

This was a bittersweet conclusion to Rafe and Eva’s story and I’m a little disappointed that it wasn’t that long and there wasn’t much that happened between these two , but it still was a great read ! I can’t wait for Levi’s book boy oh boy , this sexy lead singer has owned my heart since the first book ! I have a thing for tortured bad boy’s what can I say 🤷🏻♀️ anywho I hope Hudson and Molly get there HEA and Damon he needs his own story too ! Overall BlackHearts Still Beats as a group each deserves there own story and I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us !

Gah!! It can’t end there!!! Man, I was all teary-eyed and then bam! Wtf! I’m so excited for the next book!! I love Levi!! I knew I would! I can’t wait for him to get his HEA! He so deserves it!
But this ending- I loved it!! I didn’t want Eva and Rafe’s story to end. They were perfect!!! I’m just excited we get more books with these characters! All of them! I can’t wait!! This gang has my heart! Love love love it!!

Wow what and ending.
L.A. Cotton has once again pulled out all the stops with this series. It has a bit of everything, love, laughter and tears.
Things weren't good between Rafe and Eva when we left them in Rise.
Rule picks up from that moment and Rafe is determined to prove to Eva that she is the one he chooses no matter what that may mean for his relationship with his brother Levi. Once they are all back on tour it remains to be seen whether Rafe and Eva will get their forever I guess you'll just have to read and find out. 😘

The triangle continues in this next book in the series but not in the way you would think, it’s complicated, messy but in a great way.
Rafe and Eva and completely head over heals with each other and they finally make it known and don’t try to hide their feelings or relationship any longer.
Levi is struggling with his own feelings and emotions while feeling hurt and betrayed by his brother and Eva, but Eva seems to be the glue that can not only hold these rockstar brothers together but heal them as well.
There is plenty going on in this book with them all trying to adjust to Rafe and Evas relationship, Levi’s breakdowns and someone he’ll bent on causing chaos for the band.

Rule: The Finale (Black Hearts Still Beat #3) brings Eva and Rafe's romance to a close. I absolutely love the ending of this triology.
The road traveled to get these two to a hea was a magnetic ride. I loved reading about all the old characters and new ones bringing extra intrigue. Fabulous music world with beautiful music, amazing friendships, and awesome characters. A perfect ending with a sweet epilogue. I'm so excited to get Levi's story. I hope too see the other characters again. Love this series.

I have been waiting for the conclusion to Rafe and Eva’s story since the jaw dropping cliffhanger in book two. Since book one I have fallen in love with Rafe and Eva. Their story was full of so many ups and downs and struggles. Despite everything will they make it through everything together?
I loved the chemistry Eva has with Rafe, but also with Levi, Damon and Hunter. Sure, it is different with all the guys but it made the story and was one of the best things for me. She was unexpected to them all and I think they all realized how much they needed her in their lives. The growth of Eva was also fantastic. The series started with this shy, little, timid girl who was afraid to speak up or take risks and by the end she was rocking it on tour and willing to stand up for what she loves.
I did find myself craving a little more drama between Rafe and Levi, especially with how book two ended. Though, I am glad there was a resolution to that problem, I just wanted more. Plus, Hunter and Molly….I need more of those two! Rule did have some drama, but compared to the previous books this one is a little more on the sweeter side and I’m glad it wrapped up Rafe and Eva’s story. However, I can’t wait to see what happens next for the band!

Rule is book three in the Black Hearts Still Beat series and the finale to the Eva and Rafe trilogy. I loved this story is so much. From the very beginning it tugs on the heartstrings and at the same time had me so happy, excited, and nervous for these two. And that was just in the opening. As things progressed so did the tension between the band and issues with fans and betrayal on their team. It all just came one after another and had me flipping through the Kindle pages in a rush to see what was coming next.
I was so happy that Rafe made the choice he did. And while I personally didn't love how much crap Eva was given for her initial choice at the end of book two, it wasn't exactly a book ruiner. I just didn't feel she had the support she needed to feel comfortable making a different choice and no one ever pointed that out. Either way, after every thing was said and done I truly enjoyed this story. It was the kind that once you start you should be prepared to lose your whole day to it. Because you're not going to want to stop until the last word has been read.
But then of course I learned about Levi's book. And while I have thoughts and ideas of what may come or what I want to happen, I am just excited to get my hands on it. So far this has been a must read series and I hope to see not only Levi, but also Damon and Hudson get their own books too.

This is the third book in the Black Hearts Still Beat series; we have watched Eva's entrance into stardom, her introduction to Rafe and the sparks fly. Then in book two Eva and Rafe try and hide their relationship while Eva gets used to being on tour. There was the little drama with Levi, as he also took a bit of a shine to Eva not knowing that she and Rafe were a thing, and finally we watched Rafe choose Eva over the band and leave the tour. Now Eva and Rafe have to make a choice, do they just walk away from that world, or do they go back and conquer that world?
So, for me I felt that book two was the best so far. This was actually a bit of a let down, with very little going on. There was still some spicy moments and some drama that will keep you entertained but in the long run, not as good as I had hoped it would be. BUT I am super excited for what's next to come; hopefully three more books with the other members getting their HEA's. I give this 4 stars.

First off before I forget... that ending.. it gave me shivers!! I'm excited!!
Okay, wow what a great ending. This ending was long overdue and so deserving. Rafe and Eva deserve their happiness. They deserve each others love. They ARE each others anchors. This road may have been a rough one but they are young and so deeply in love. There is no obstacle that they can't overcome. Rafe and Levi (and the rest of the guys) have been there for each other through so much. It's great to see them growing up and becoming stronger for each other. We couldn't ask for a better ending, thought that epilogue.... oh boy. The life of a rock star isn't easy, and it's a life that I would never want. But it's always fun to read and fantasize about. This trilogy is a work of heartbreaking art that I'm glad I got to explore. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

Ahh finally the continuation of Rafe and Eva’s story ...
and it was everything I was hoping it would be and more.
I was so lost in these two, I nearly lost a full day myself ..
Sucked in from the first page, and praying these two were gonna make it.
But when your in the spotlight , things aren’t as easy as they could be, with tension between the brothers the band looks shaky.

This is the happy ending that I had hoped to see Rafe and Eva get! Swoon 🥰 they give me all the feels, the true absolute love they have for one another is so raw and real it’s what we all hope to find one day!
I love how close Letty, Phoebe, Eva and the guys have become more of a family ion this book, the guys prove it on more than one occasion that no one messes with Eva, she’s slowly becoming the rock they all needed but never knew it.
We learn more about Levi in this book, and see that he has so many levels and hopefully he’s found the one person who can reel him In and I can’t wait to see how his story unfolds especially how book 3 ended. The life of a rockstar is never a dull one.

Black Hearts Still Beat and mine is pounding!!!!!
Eva and Rafe are swoon goals. Rafe is seriously hot! His words, his aura, his love for Eva!!! I'm sinking, falling so hard for this tortured brooding boy! I am glowing in my warmth and happiness for them. LA Cotton gave us a rockstar worth swooning over. She gave us a family. She gave us an experience. She also seems to be giving us Levi's story!
I'm both torn and enthralled by the dropped bomb. I am trying to prevent myself from rocking in the corner. I just can't keep those words from playing on repeat in my mind.
Rule isn't the end and I can't be happier about that but I am so worried for the future! Black Hearts Still Beat and I'm worried someone's might stop.

At the end of Rise, Rafe was faced with the decision of choosing Eva, the woman he loves, which puts his relationship with his brother and the band in jeopardy. Trying to find a balance where he can have both will require some adjustments on everyone’s part.
Eva can see that Levi is struggling and even though she is part of the problem she is also part of the solution. She is willing to show Levi that not only can they still be friends and bandmates but she can be the bridge to ensure that the brother’s relationship even though tested will not be broken.
It was great to see Rafe and Eva get the happy ever after that they deserve and now we just need the same thing for Levi.
