Fantastic Debut Rock Star Read
Rockers are my kryptonite, and when a friend put this book in front of me as a late minute read, I was in!!! I have to wholeheartedly congratulate A. Kelly Sweeny on her fantastic debut book because I absolutely loved it.
I was only into the prologue and I can’t even begin to describe the heightened sense of anxiety and anticipation that I felt while reading as Lucius saw the girl he’d been watching all summer, too scared to approach her. Just before the recording contract that will change their lives, he’d decided to pull up his big boy undies and go say hi, but she hadn’t shown at that last gig. Realising he’d missed his chance, it changed his perspective on life, setting the tone for this beautifully written book.
Six years later Twisted Tragic is a huge rock act, and when Lucius again sees the girl from that summer, I broke out in goosebumps at his reaction. Holy crap, I had such a heightened sense of anticipation when I read that part, and from then on, I had trouble putting the book down when I had to.
I believe that Ms Kelly Sweeny wrote Toni as such an amazingly strong woman in spite of her upbringing and we had heart-breaking glimpses of this through some timely recollections. She was up front and truthful with Lucius from the start about her shortcomings with any normal relationship, even with the family who had adopted and tried to love her. His upmost patience as he wanted to show his love was unconditional had me falling in love with this gorgeous rock star, and I was in tears when she reached out to her family on an emotional level after seeing the close family dynamic of the boys in the rock band.
Lucius epitomised the gorgeous rocker that I love to read about, especially considering the cover model, because he is hot as hell. His written personality was perfect for Toni, and he never seemed to tire in his efforts to back up his feelings with actions, appreciating that money just didn’t do it for her. In fact, everything about the band and the story kept me riveted.
If there was one thing I would question, was that huge issue came to light near the end, and appeared to be resolved reasonable quickly. For me, I’m hoping it’s a lead into Twisted Tragic #2, and I’m telling you now, I’m again in a heightened sense of anticipation as I wait for that next book.

This was an amazing book from a brand new author. After a lifetime of disappointment and learning to expect the worst out of everyone, the FMC Toni catches Lucius' eye at a concert. They each spend years thinking about the other and when fate brings them back together again Lucius is determined not to let Toni disappear again. This is the amazing story of how Lucius slowly teaches Toni how to trust again. The author did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life I really connected with Toni and you can feel the characters' emotions coming off the pages. I will definitely be reading more from this talented new author!

A fabulous debut book from author A Kelly Sweeney! If rockstar romance with all the feels is your thing then you cannot go wrong with Twisted Heartstrings Twisted Tragic #1. Toni and Lucius bring it all in this first of the series. High emotions, sizzling heat and life on the road with the band all come together to make this a high-octane read. Bring on the rest of the band members stories. Highly recommended.

An impressive rockstar romance by a debut author, Twisted Heartstrings has insane heat and an intriguing and angsty storyline that's also full of swoon worthy moments. These two practically melted my heartstrings! I enjoyed getting to meet the rest of the band members and I'm hoping to have their stories to read in the future.

For a debut author, I found this Rockstar story to be quite enjoyable. Her descriptions of the characters made you be able to envision what they look like, and it sounds like the boys in the band are all hot! This story revolves around Toni, a young woman who hasn’t had the best life and finds it hard to trust or love anyone. Until she meets Lucius, one of the guitar players. He shows her that she is lovable and that he wants to be part of her life if she will let him. These two go back and forth quite a bit, but I did enjoy their interactions. Plus their chemistry was sizzling! I look forward to reading more about the rest of the band.

This is the authors debut book. I found the storyline very entertaining. I liked how we got the chance to get to know a bit about each of the band members it shed some light on there different personalities. The only downside I found was that the pivotal point in the book was resolved rather quickly between the main couple. Overall a great read I didn't want to put down .

DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA! and here I am, loving it! Lucius and Tony's story was sweet, intense and steamy. I usually don't read Rock Star related books but this one sucked me right in. I can't wait to read about the rest of the band members!

An incredible debut. I was like a moth drawn to the energy of these characters. I love a good rock star romance and this one delivers quality in characters, situations and solutions.
Every scene is bright and in vivid color. You can't help but get fixed on it. I can't wait for more!!!!

The story line was good, the character work was great and the book had a smooth flow to it. This was a very entertaining read. I look forward to more from this author.

New author A. Kelly Sweeney is going somewhere with her debut novel! Well written and entertaining, her characters have depth, charm and lots of heat. Can’t wait for more band member stories!

My first book by this author and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and engaging. The storyline had substance and flowed easily.

Twisted Heartstrings is a wonderful rockstar romance. I was hooked from the beginning as it was easy to get lost in the story. This is A. Kelly Sweeney’s debut novel and I’m excited to read more by her.

I really enjoyed this story and getting to know more about Twisted Tragic, an up and coming Rock Band who have finally found their Fame. With Hot Twin Brothers Lucuis and Alucard, and Friends Nicholai, Christoph and Jasper, they have become quiet the sensation. Throw in a hot new relationship past hurts and secrets, it makes for a page turning read. Can't wait for more on the other band members.

The reviews I read for this book were good with 4 and 5☆, however, I don't think it is worthy of such high praise. I wasn't keen on the writing style and all the characters were very juvenile. The heroine always felt so hard done by and was constantly griping about it and her insecurities. I thought this was a complete book, with maybe any further books being about other band members, however, there was no end to this story so I'm confused what's happening next.
