Oh my God! Such a hilarious story. I enjoyed reading it a lot and here's why I loved it. You know what, I just do want to have a talk about this book with Ravinder Singh and Mitali Meelan. I want it so badly! That's how much I loved it.
.
.
This story is of two "chuddy buddies" (as mentioned) Kavya and Pranita. They have an 'atoot bandhan' of which Pranita's new found boyfriend became a part, much to Kavya's dislike.
.
.
As a pinch of loneliness and wisdom by her best friend got sprinkled on her, a shy Kavya decided to find someone through a dating app. As this was new to her, her best friend became her mentor for dating and made the conversation manageable on her side and fixed a date.
.
.
The date turned up to be a disappointing one but not that much. Kavya made a friend from her college and forgot about the guy she was dating. Further eavesdropping on Pranita's conversation with Raj, she started lying for her hurt ego. What she did wasn't correct and lies started burdening her heart.
.
.
As it is said, lies never remain hidden, Kavya's lies spilled out too in an unexpected way. What happened next? Well, suspense toh banta hai!
.
.

What I liked in the whole story? I loved everything! The bond shared by Kavya and Pranita reminded me of my hostel roommate. And Kavya was so like me. And Pranita reminded me of my those friends who were in a relationship while I was single. So much wisdom, huh!
.
.
Every conversation was fun-filled and throughout the story I was laughing. Especially the climax would make you roll on your floor although it was an intense situation. Every character had their own dilemma at that time. The college days are so silly . This amazing fun-filled story made me a bit nostalgic, and also laugh a lot so much that my stomach ached and eyes got watered.

I believe that the bond between beat friends is sacred. You can insult each other but cannot stand it if anyone else does it. It's normal to feel left out when your best friend comes in a relationship because we just don't want to loose out person but this can be solved by talking. When we lie, we have to come up with more and more of lies to keep up the first one.
This lovely book takes you on a sweet journey. I loved how the story unfolds. I could relate to it. While reading it alot of memories came to my mind and I could feel what Kavya felt.
It's a short but impressive read.
I surely recommend it.

“Love and Lies” is an amazing short story on a couple of friends and their little misunderstanding. Mitali collaborated with Ravinder and did a neat job in giving a simple story to us.

The conversations between Kavya and Pranitha were so good that we start to imagine by putting us in their shoes.

The character Soham looked genuine whereas Ansh was a bit hyped. Considering the plot, his could have been increased a bit more.

Overall, a very good short story to read and cherish!

Kudos Ravinder! Your narration is awesome as always! Great work! Way to go Mitali!!

Lies never last long...

Book name- Love & Lies
Author name- Mitali Meelan, Ravinder Singh

'Lies needed more proofs than truth.'
The story revolves around Kavya, who is the protagonist of the book and how she hides one after the other truth from her best friend and the boy she dating. The story tells that lies never remain forever, and once the truth comes out, everything falls apart. It's a book of an excellent short description.
I am looking forward to reading more by Ravinder Singh sir and Mitali Meelan.

Is it Love that turned into Lies or is it Lies that turned into Love?

An amazing concept of Love. Lies made way to Love. It all started with the love affair of Pranita but it all revolves around her best friend Kavya who found her true love which she was totally unaware of. It was all about her journey from Lies to Love. THANK YOU So much to Ravinder Singh (my favourite author) and Mitali Menon( looking forward to your writings now too).

Nicely woven plot, depicting the confusion related to friendship and dating

I wish this book was written decades earlier. This story took me back to college days, where everyone is confused about friendship, dating, studies, heartbreaks. Nicely woven plot to depict some of these challenges. Fast paced story with impactful and relevant dialogues makes this a smooth read.

A really good story about modern dating scenario among teenagers and young adults, especially succumbing to loneliness, insecurities and peer pressure.

Also speaks about the difference between attraction and love.

Teenagers and young adults should read it.

Preferable read for teenagers.

It's a short story that the teenagers might find interesting. I read this book solely because I wanted to read Mitali Meelan's work. It's a good read. However, I found some errors while reading the book.
