Shenanigans

Rate this book
In an instant, the weight was lifted. The humans, who had been standing around or drinking the svar became pleasantly buoyant. Immediately they stopped what they were doing and began jumping up…and down slowly, overjoyed at the sudden change and intent on crashing into one another. Vark, on the other hand, left the ground the moment the gravity was tampered with and yelped but otherwise held it together. He was grateful for the rope Jones had given him, and he used it to steer himself away from the happy humans as they drifted about the room.

Cute.

The author is far too impressed with poor puns, spends more time crafting somewhat clever dialog than character development, and juvenile behavior by adults that should be beyond the frat boy stage of life. Truth or Dare is pivotal to the plot. That said: it was entertaining with few noticeable editing errors. The format is spirit standard and led to glitches on my Kindle. I am happy to have read this book, I wouldn't need to read a sequel. I will read more from this author in the hope of future growth and maturity. I will not recommend this book to many friends, but can think of a few that would love it.
