Not my favorite book of the series. It’s more about Rae throwing a massive temper tantrum that takes the whole book to reach a decision from her problems. It’s still a good story, just not on par with the rest of the series.
I really liked all of the books so far until I reached this one. It felt too short and it was basically Rae being insecure and confused the whole entire time. I wish it was longer and gave us a little more into their future.

Yes another amazing book added to the Diamond In the rough series by Rebel Hart. I honestly thought that nothint else could be added onto Rae and Clint's love story since the end of Stay with me. How wrong i was. I loved this book just as much as i loved the others. Thank you Rebel Hart for another wonderful story, i loved how this one ended as well
Honestly feels like this book didn’t need to be written. The unnecessary drama and cliches sex scenes just served to make me hate the characters bar two.
This is the final book of Rae and Clints story and I think Hart made an excellent job linking the story together . The only reason that I didn’t give it a 5 ⭐️ is that I wished that the epilogue would have been longer . ........................................................................ Rae and Clint have booth been through hell with their family and despite of all this darkness they manage to stay strong as a couple . But since life it’s not fare and special for those with the biggest heart , things are about to change between them .
Clinton is grateful for all help that Rae did so he could finished high school and even so his planes doesn’t include college , to make things worse he feels as each day that passes Rae is shifting away from him . This summer was suppose to be their best before the steps towards adulthood began ,then why are things changing between them?
Rae is confused . She wants away from it all , from her mum , her town .. and sometimes even from Clint . She loves him , she really does then why does she she have all of this doubts about him , about their relationship, their future ? Because he was supposed to be her forever , wasn’t he ?

With two weeks of school left this book was a great distraction! This book was a little different then the last books because we never really see Rae fighting with herself. Her second guessing herself due to the new chapter in her life was really challenging to read. Usually we see Clint the one fighting with himself. yet, it was also good to see the comparisons that Alison and mike pointed out between the two because i think in previous books we see how or it is perceived that they are completely different but, in reality they are not. I liked that we got to see more of Alison and Mike in this book. I felt it was more than previous books. I think that this a friend group that Clinton always hoped for yet, never got. It was so heartwarming to see the relationship that Mike and Clint had since the last book. How much they both grown and now consider themselves each other’s best friends. Throughout the story we see the bond that all four of them created. Even though they are couples we can see towards the end that if one is down than they all don’t function at 100%. I think the ending really wrapped Clinton and Rae’s love story and they ended exactly where they were meant to be.
I struggled so much with this book in particular. out of the whole series. I debated not finishing it, but ultimately couldn’t bring myself not leave a book unfinished.
Throughout the whole book and the whole series you have Rae being very insecure and just flat out refusing to communicate. I think the author did a real injustice to these characters, they had so much potential but were reduced to awful people (every single one of them). It felt like problems came up, were then solved and then all of a sudden it was like the problem was never addressed in the first place. A good example of this is Rae’s mom. It felt like we were going in circles, and it was exhausting to read. The lack of communication, the insecurity, the confusion, all made the book feel like the characters were intentionally trying to cause drama (which was probably what happened- the author most likely needed a plot but just ended up ruining the characters). It was a tiring and tedious read that could have been shortened down to 2 books max. I won’t be reading the final book, because I have a feeling it’ll be the exact problems over and over again.
Whew! Not going to lie. This one was tough for me. After the end of Stay With Me, I was in book relationship heaven. I mean, literally the greatest end ever. So natch, I was over the moon to learn of another book. But Rae was a little more than hard to take in this. Obviously life and decisions and consequences were at the root of her break down. And, truly, I’m sure it is a time of turmoil for many kids in a state of flux. Trying to make decisions that will affect them for the rest of their life. I was in unfamiliar territory myself, kinda hating on Rae. Basically I was Michael in this book. Frustrated with Rae and broken-hearted for Clint. But this book just goes to prove, life isn’t always easy. And you can’t make decisions based on others expectations and it never helps to run from your problems. So as upset as Rae made me, I learned from this book, too. Now, in my heart, I’m with my two favourite people as they fulfill their dreams and desires without the weight of their pasts to weigh them down.
Thinks are about to change. Rae, Clint, Allison and Michael have graduated high school and are looking forward to the future. Allison and Michael are going off to college. Clint knows he isn't going to college and is still trying to figure out what he wants to do but isn't too worried about it. Then there is Rae. She is going to college by herself but is unsure of the future. Is this what she really wants? Will Clint move with her? Does he want to move with her? What about her mother? Does she still have to continue giving her money to support her? She has too many questions in her mind about her future and instead of talking to Clint she bottles it up which causes difficulty. Can she finally decide what she really wants for her future or will she push Clint away with her distance?
While at times Rae could be seen as annoying I understand where she was coming from. She was having difficulty with everything changing and what she wanted to do. Not everyone knows what they should do after college and where their try passion lies.
Boy, the amount of emotional turmoil in this book is sky high! There is so much surrounding Rae and Clint and it was jnot a matter of a time before things started to crack.
After having the weight of the word in her shoulders, Rae feels the pressure coming from all sides. However, she’s keeping everything bottled up and that isn’t the right thing for her, or Clint.
Clint, for his part, is doing everything he can to help bring back the girl he fell in love with. It’s his turn to step up and I think he does in a strong way.
Nothing is ever easy for this couple and that doesn’t change in the book. But, things eventually come to a head and finally things get out on the table.
It was a good way to see Rae and Clint’s story conclude. I feel satisfied with this series and I’ll be sad to see them go!
I started reading this journey between Rae and Clint from the beginning with all it's ups and downs. It was an amazing one filled with heartache, suspense, twists and turns, and most of all love to conquer it all. I was more then happy with the ending of book 3 but when i learned of another book i was thrilled that i didnt have to say goodbye to these characters that I've grown to love. This book takes us into what life starts to be for the two of them after high school and shoes us just how much Clint has changed for the better but also shows us how Rae is having a hard time with feeling like life is weighing down on her. You have to read this book its sych a great addition to the series and I'm truely sad to see this series end even more now. Don't miss out on this awesome book you wont be disappointed at all
This is the fourth and final book in the Clint & Rae series. I was sad to see this series end and hope that eventually we will get a story or novella catching us up later in life. Rebel didn’t disappoint and as the previous books had the character draw you in and become emotionally invested. You see a lot of growth in the characters from when they started in book #1 but I feel in this book Clint had the most. I was proud of him and how maturely he handled most situations in this book compared to the previous ones. Rae started driving me crazy and I wanted to yell at her. She showed how your relationship with one person affects every other aspect and relationship in your life. The ending made my heart so happy. I think Rebel did such a fabulous job with this series. I am so thankful that I found her and can’t wait to see what books are in the future.
This is the fourth and final book in the diamonds in the rough series. While I enjoyed the previous books this one was by far my FAVORITE.
Clint finally finds himself, and has grown so much from the angry punk he was at the beginning if the series. Rae realizes what it means to truly let people in and rely on them through the worst. This books takea place over just a short period of time, but I feel really closes out their story in the best way.
Now that the author has her first full series under her belt I can only imagine where her future will take her! You can bet I'll be along for the ride!
I had to force myself to finish it, if I hadn’t of committed so much time to the series I genuinely wouldn’t have bothered.
Rae irritated me beyond belief, her bitchfit was the only appealing thing about her in this book. And Clint was too soppy and a complete drip.
I found the sex scenes too long and all the same and completely fake for 18 year olds. Which I’m still not sure I’m okay with it..... I mean their ages weren’t even mentioned till the second/third book!!!
It was just a let down, I’m going to read the last book because I’m committed but It’s unlikely I’ll read another series by Rebel Hart.
Another great book in the Diamond in the Rough series by Rebel Hart. Unfortunately though, I had to give this book 4 instead of 5 stars because of Rae. She really pissed me off in this book. It was like temper tantrum after temper tantrum and a lot of unnecessary drama. Clint, was amazing as he always is, being there for Rae, even when she belittled him in front of a whole college party, including Michael and Allison. Nevertheless, I lived this book, as much as the others in the series. By the end of the book, no matter what happened in the middle, I was reminded of Rae and Clint’s love for one another, which made me smile from ear to ear!
This is my 4th arc given to by Rebel. Now I was here from the beginning to endure Rae and Clints journey, has had many ups and downs. I’m grateful for being able to read an amazing series and upset it’s at the end now. I’m glad to be part of an amazing arc team. I will always love the story of Clint and Rae. I highly recommend that bully romance book lovers check the series out. As well as Rebel’s other establishment “Elites of Weis- Jameson Prep Academy”. Beyond thankful for the amazing journey!
This is the fourth book in the Diamond in the Rough series, and somewhat of a second conclusion to the epic story of Clint, and Rae. This book gives a look into the journey these two characters take as they continue on past high school, and look to the future, and where it might take them. This book is a whirlwind of emotions, Clint, and Rae, deal with growing up, and feeling good enough for each other, and its was heartbreaking to see them lose their way for a bit. I love reading this book, it was intense, dramatic, emotional, passionate, and steamy.
I was lucky to read this as an ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a beautiful end to Clint and Rae’s journey; you need to have read the first 3 books of this series.
This is an emotional book about what happens next after high school graduation, and what happens the friends and relationships going forward. Find out what happens with Clint and Rae. This. 5⭐️ read that I recommend.
Yet again another amazing book to make you fall in love with Rae and Clint more. This book is a crazy rollercoaster ride with Rae and Clint. Rae throws you through so many twists and turns while she battles with her worries and problems. Can Clint help Rae face her fears and bring back the girl he loves. Well for that answer your going to have to pick up your copy Today. All I can say is it's an incredible way to complete the series and I totally loved the ending.
Ok, so remember last time, how I said conclusion? Well, I’m a liar apparently, because here we are.
Anyways. Rae & Clint continue to be put through emotional turmoil, and face decisions that most of their peers may not have to. However, it’s the way they handle these things that makes for a truly captivating read. The ride is always a bit difficult for these two, but that ending gave me LIFE. I’m a contented reader for sure. This completed series definitely gets my recommendation.
When I finished the 3rd book in this series and saw there would be a 4th 1 was a bit apprehensive. I didn’t think another book could possibly make me feel like the 3rd book “Stay with Me “ did. Let me tell you “Don’t Follow Me “gave me all the feels!!! It was a roller coaster ride of emotions from start to finish but I was completely wrong in my apprehension. This book is the perfect culmination to the series. 4 1/2 stars
I really don't know how I felt about this book. love it hate it . 🤔I mean I feel being it's the last book in the series didn't really do Clint and rae justice they basically just fought throughout most of the book and when they were together went on and on about how they loved each other . I would like to know what happens with her mother and clints stepmother . So much more could of been done with this story you know it was a cute ending but wish had a lil bit more .
These two really overthink everything. 🤷🏻♀️ it feels like Clint’s character grew so much over all 4 books and Rae just slipped further and further downhill but without any reason. (Same crappy home life.) Like her life was bad, but it wasn’t horrible and it could be worse... she just complains and worries about it for like the last 3 books. I think the author should have done more with the mom character and with Rae and helped them both grow throughout the series.
I really enjoyed this story! This is very well written and captivating! The emotions this couple goes through is so real, i could feel the pain. Raelynn is a very strong girl and also in this book vulnerable, but with Clinton at her side... what a great end to their story! Totally worth reading!
I loved this ending to Clint and Rae's story. Their journey has been angsty, emotional, and so full of questions and doubts. I loved that they finally found their way through all the darkness and pain. Thus was a quick paced story that I was able to read in one sitting. If you haven't started this series yet, do it right now!
I COULD NOT put this book series down. From beginning to end I felt like I was sitting on the edge of my seat. I found myself pulling for Clint and Rae almost from page one. I found myself crying for Clint and his step-mom. It felt like and emotional roller-coaster ride that I would take again and again. I will definitely tell my friends about Rebel Hart books.
This book was super annoying. Loved this series. For the last book to be so lame sucked. 75% of the book was wishy washy mental head speak. It lasted way too long and we never got the real resolution we needed between them. We never got a conversation for the head speak to turn into change and trust between them. Totally bummed about this one.
Clint and Rae’s story continues. High school is finished, and now on to college or is it? Rae is having a hard time deciding what she what’s to do now that high school is behind her. She makes a lot of bad moves and has upset all her friends. When she finally sets her mind on what needs to be done everything falls into place.
Good book, loved this series, great way to end it (although I’ll be reading the epilogue next) Great to see issues talked about and problems come up in the book related to relationships and friendships. I like the fact they’re not constantly perfect and happy like in some books
