Where to start?
I am sad to report that I have the same opinions of this book as most who have reviewed it. There's just a lot of nothing. The storyline has no highs or lows. Let's start with the good.
All four boys have really defined personalities and Ranger even had me laughing out loud a couple of times! I liked that they all seemed like real boys. The relationship between Lexi and her foster dads was nice and I was glad to see that kind of come full circle with her being told, again, that she was their girl and she would be considered theirs with or without paperwork. Another relationship that I was happy to see and feel is so important in all YA books was a good female friendship. We often see females at each other throats and so seeing a healthy friendship among girls is so important. I loved our sweet Ada!
Now the not so good.
There's no story. Nothing. At first I thought maybe this is the "happily ever after" book where we see how life goes after the Blood Moon fight, and while yes you can consider that as the basis for this book and may even like that. I would have, had there not been 10 other storylines that got thrown in and no real problem or solution came of them. Lexi and her biological father, Tobias, bland, dull and extremely emotionless storyline. Disappointing. Lexi and Olivia, no real solution nor do we ever find out what came of Olivia's outburst at Lexi's prom/mating party. Noah, Saint, Ada, Nash, Clare, Ada's sister, Lexi's Aunt, all characters that are tied to our main character and her storyline, but they have no storyline. It made no sense. Some the characters were even new and they are mentioned, for almost no reason. Why mention it if they have no real role. The dialog is absolutely horrendous and was so distracting for me when there were large conversations with multiple characters.
Unfortunately, this whole series was a flop for me. Overall the series gets ⭐⭐⭐.
⭐ I finished the book and series.
⭐⭐ It had a unique premise that held my interests.
⭐⭐⭐ I would only recommend to select readers.
