Since Asher's turned 18 and graduated, his stepfather Caleb's been lusting...
Caleb discovers that his stepson Asher is not only interested in fooling around, he wants the same thing his stepfather does: a real relationship. After a discussion about what that means, big bear Caleb and twink Asher begin their daddy/boy gay age play with Caleb as a stern daddy and Asher as a sweet, timid little who's hardly been kissed. But as their relationship evolves, they move into spanking, femme play, and ABDL. Plenty of cuddles and sweetness abound in this taboo book!
Sooo...this started out a cut above the usual stepfather/stepson fantasy smut, in terms of the writing and the characters. Unfortunately it went downhill halfway through.
The sex got really repetitive and the events felt too rushed. The doctor's visit and meeting the other stepdaddy and little started and ended too quickly. I'm sure the characters appear in the author's other books, but they warranted more fleshing out, at least in relation to our MCs.
I get that this isn't the sort of book where we'd get pages and pages of internal monologue, but I wish we got to spend more time in Asher and Caleb's heads.
As much as I loved the ageplay and ABDL, I got further away from the characters instead of closer to them the more I kept reading. Sadface!
Asher using the term "Stepdaddy" for Caleb really irked me. Like, this man provides for you and takes care of you, just call him "Daddy." "Stepdaddy" just sounds so clunky and awkward to me.
And I know "Stepdaddy" alludes to what's so sexy and taboo about their dynamic (and I'm here for that!), but let's be real, the crux of what makes it resonate so strongly with people like me who seek out these sorts of books is the "Daddy" part. The "step" technicality just makes it less squicky for those who are too put off by actual incest.
Another thing that bugged me on a deeper level than semantics--Asher and Caleb don't say "I love you." At all. Given their history, the fact that it's mentioned that Caleb has always doted on his stepson, that just didn't sit right with me.
This book was basically like the first. Just different characters. The same dirty talk. The same dirty phrases for body parts. I hated it. I wanted something new and different.
In this book they use a cage for Asher penis. But it seemed more like a punishment. I didn’t like that.
I wanted to give this whole kink a chance. So I’m going to try another author and see if it gets better for me.
