Matthew "Matt" Collins had his entire world ripped away from him when he tore his ACL and ended his college football career also taking away his dreams of being the next Hall of Fame quarterback.
Kristina West moves to a new town to start her career as a High School guidance counselor. She has the summer to get to know her town so she decides to buy her dream house which happens to be a fixer upper.
As renovations begin, she finds a deflated balloon with a note and a phone number to text when found. Intrigued, she sends the first “I found your number in my gutter.”
