Anger is spreading like a plague at Harry Keller's high school. Seized by a strange, burning rage, students, teachers, and even the principal are lashing out at each other, only to find that their fury mysteriously vanishes as quickly as it comes.

The rage seems to be feeding into itself and growing as petty arguments become violent. Harry just wants to avoid the whole mess before a riot breaks out, but he has a feeling that the answer to the anger can be found in A-Time.

Will Harry unravel A-Time's twisted trails before the wrath turns deadly?

3.5 stars would be my actual rating if I could do halfsies.

Stefan Petrucha is, and remains, one of my favourite authors. Whether it's his comic book work of the past (Meta-4, X-Files), or his novels (Making God, Dead Mann Walking), I always enjoy the stories he tells, and the way in which he tells them. He has an easy style. There's a rhythm to it an once you start it is hard to stop. You just want to get to the end.

That's how I felt about the second volume of his Time Tripper series, InRage. It took a few chapters to reacquaint myself with the cast of characters (having read the first book, YesterMorrow, some time ago) but once things started rolling I finished the thing in two sittings. Having read some of the '80s comic book series "Squalor", of which these books are a reimagining of, I'm always a little taken aback at how teen-oriented these books are. Not in a bad way, it's just a mental adjustment every time I sit down to read one of them.

Overall, Time Tripper is a good series by a good author and InRage is a good installment and I'm looking forward to tracking down number three, BlindSighted.

I have to say, I enjoyed this book a lot more than Yestermorrow. It contained many of the mind-bending elements of the first one, but the main character was a lot less annoying. There also wasn't an annoying 'I-Like-You' romance. There still is an awkward romance flavor, but it is much more enjoyable.
SO....InRage = good. I'm looking forward to reading the third one!
