Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned-especially one with gills, claws, and the teeth of a shark. Will John Constantine protect the fishermen who are in the siren’s sights? Or will he lead them right to her?
A very nice and tidy two-parter, monster of the week fair, whilst at the same time keeping the main arc ticking along (though not adding much of anything to it other flat cap guy seems to be playing the role of satanic tempter for undisclosed reason) well drawn/inked/coloured, well told, though the ending feels a little hurried, at one point thought it was going to be a three-parter.
Freddie bit it, so I’m happy. But damn, he was too believable.
I love that Constantine’s rant about nature being magical is simultaneously genuine and skeptical. There are some things even in his version of our world that are inexplicable and full of wonder.
Not sure where this run is going, but I’m glad that I don’t.
