Emma is a Black/white Muslim American mom of five, ages 6-22, in her mid-forties just trying to live her best life…which usually includes coffee, wine, and an unfortunate habit of one-clicking any pretty special edition that winds up in her feed. (If you DM it, she will come.)

She likes K-pop (#army, #moa) cultivation dramas (Till the End of the Moon,) precioussss silence, and collects more makeup than she uses.

She bends knee to Michelle Sagara West, Anne Bishop, N.K. Jemisin, Grace Draven, J.D. Robb, and Nalini Singh—a nod to Sanderson, Goodkind, Eddings, McCaffrey, and McKinley.

If you are looking for romantic epic fantasy set in complex, diverse, sex positive worlds with morally gray societies, powerful anti-heroes with THAD energy, multi-racial heroines at least 35—if not 350—coming into power, and a central theme of family, both dysfunctional and supportive, then you will binge her stories..

It was just OK. I was a bit lost and confused at the beginning. the names for the characters are a bit odd but they’re aliens. The romance builds and I really like that the hero is respectable to the heroine. I have to say I didn’t have any feelings about the plot or the characters. No feelings. It just kind of plotted along. words on a page.

She was abducted from Earth, she has been held prisoner and experimented on, she's pregnant with a alien's baby, and her captors are planning to sell her to the highest bidder. Tai'ri is an elite warrior. He and his team have been investigating the trafficking operation, and have managed to free several captives. He is shocked to discover that one of the human captives is pregnant with his child, and will do everything is his power to keep them safe.

Wow, I loved this book. I found the characters well written, compelling, and so amazingly realistic that I had a hard time putting this book down. Action packed, exciting, sexy romance with plenty of unexpected twists that kept me engrossed, and a happily ever after.

Building the bond
I really enjoy this series. This book is one of my favorites so far, the characters are so well developed and realistic that I almost expect for them to jump from the pages. I love how these two came together, no matter how unconventional their connection might have begun. And the way they interact with each other and those closest to them warms my heart. The author kept the intensity and action high throughout the book and I enjoyed each new twist to the story. I hope we get to see Shira and Ori find their HEA next, but no matter who’s story is next I can’t wait to read it.

This is a very self-contained book. You don’t need to have read any of the previous ones for this to make sense. There are all kinds of twists and turns in this story. And just when you think everything’s all sorted out, something happens to shake it all up again. I really liked Tai'ri. He’s a wounded soul with a noble heart. I thought it was kind of cute how everyone wanted to look after him. Vivian’s got a wide streak of ‘too stupid to live’ that frustrated me several times throughout the story, but the authors give us plenty of background for her actions which allowed me to mostly just go with it. There’s also the signature humor that I’ve come to expect from an Emma Alisyn title. It’s quirky, offbeat, and always makes me smile. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s coming next in the series.

Vivian is captured and taken to another planet. Then she is impregnated with sperm and is now pregnant. She has a chance to meet the owner of the sperm and he is Tai'ri, a blue man. Because of the danger she and her future baby are in, Vivian chooses to stay with Tai'ri for protection. Her life is continually in danger with the traffickers trying to get her back. What will happen between Vivian and her very attractive blue man? Interesting story but I found the different names a bit hard to keep up with, as in who they were.

I was immediately enthralled in this book and could not put it down. I laughed, cried and was on the edge of my seat throughout this book. I cannot wait to see if there will be more set in this world and who will get their HEA next. I am intrigued with the way that aliens are being shown and it is an original take on this type of genre.

I enjoyed this story of Tai'ri and Vivian the most. The characters were wonderful and I really felt like I got to know them while they work out their lives together. Vivian was abducted from Earth and put into a pen by traffickers. Tai'ri was also in those same pens. The traffickers were doing some horrible experiments and the end result was Vivian pregnant with Tai'ri's baby. Tai'ri, as an elite warrior, knew the traffickers would not stop in attempting to kidnap Vivian again and he vowed to protect her and their baby. Although they didn't start out being in love and their being together was the result of some evil people, they did fall and both loved their baby. Lots of action and intrigue.

I had the privilege of reading this book as a beta reader and then again as an advanced reader. My review is voluntary.

I think this is a great alien-human romance story. Vivian has been freed from a trafficking ring but while she was in captivity she was impregnated with the sperm of a Yedahn man who had also been taken captive. Under the protection of the local princess, she agrees to meet with the baby's father, a member of the princess' security team who was captured while trying to break the trafficking ring.

Tai'ri is angry with himself for getting captured and for how long it took him to get free and signal for help. His only thought is revenge, until he finds out that one of the other prisoners was impregnated with his genetic material. He wants to meet her and, if she still allow him, to take care of her and the baby. A medical crisis causes him to accidentally form a partial bond with her which saves the lives of her and her unborn child. It also means that if and when the bond is completed the two of them will be mates. Tai'ri decides to keep this last part to himself until Vivian has a chance to get to know him. He is determined to keep his little mate and his child and protect them. The traffickers are not happy to have lost their payday, but this time he will take them down.

The book has it all. A slow burn romance, a lot of danger and intrigue, and a hot, blue-skinned alien. What more do you need?

It was a pleasure to read this absolutely enthralling, slow-burn Sci-Fi alien warrior romance. The plot is well-paced & marvelous well-written with very intriguing heart-pounding situations. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed unique individuals, who gradually grow closer & entwine quite well with each other & there is good support from the secondary characters.
It is about: a young woman (Vivian Huang) is abducted & impregnated by the sperm of a captive Yadahesi warrior (Tai’ri) but they are rescued together with other prisoners & taken to safety but decision will have to be made as the attractions begin to flare & the danger increases.
There is: aliens, humans, devious traffickers, twists & turns, suspense, drama, intrigue, secrets, action, adventure, abduction, unethical medical experiments, vengeful feelings, danger, threats, conflict, violence, injuries, medical emergencies, emotional turmoil, suspicions, investigations, memories, determination, strange attractions, trust issues, kidnapping attempts, confrontations, discovery, compromises, surprises, sensual teasing, bonding, contentment, some steamy scenes & a hard-earned satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this Sci-Fi romance & would recommend it to people that like to read this genre.

Entertaining Sci-Fi Alien Story!!

Vivian was captured, and experimented on, resulting in a pregnancy. Tai’ri is an agent trying to bring down the traffickers, but he gets captured himself. Ultimately, they are released, but Tai’ri finds out he is actually the father of Vivian’s child as he was experimented on also.

Vivian becomes very ill, and Tai’ri is able to save her – and in doing so has left his skin marks on Vivian. If they continue the marking process, they will become bondmates. A delightful journey of two people from two different worlds and two different species. With one small thing in common – their child. Can they work together to raise their child, or will the circumstances around it be too much.

Entertaining, touching, and romantic as these two work to see what their futures will hold. I absolutely loved it!

This is the first book I read in the series, I realized after I finished it that it was book 4 in the series. I was very impressed, the characters are very well written, and it is very easy to follow the book. The basis of the book is following the lives of Tai’ri and Vivian. Vivian gets hijacked from earth which at this point is not an earth you would really want to be on, but as bad as it is she did not plan to be anyone’s slave or be sold. Not only was she kept in a cell she found out she was pregnant.Tai’ri is a warrior who ended up a prisoner, he was tortured and used for experimental purposes. When they were both rescued he was told that the baby Vivian was carrying was his. Not only do they have to find a way to make it work, they needed to bring down the aliens responsible for dealing with kidnapping and selling other aliens and humans. Great story of learning to love, learning to fight, finding friends, and making a new life on a different planet.

This was a great story. Well written and edited with dual POV, but mostly the female lead. I would have liked a bit more written from the male lead’s perspective.

I really liked the way the characters worked together. I did not appreciate the way the male lead continued to keep key information regarding their relationship from the female lead, though it was written very sympathetically.

The intricacies of the physical connection between the leads, based on actions taken early in the story, were intriguing for me and I hope the author will explore this concept more in future.

Whilst there were some minor irritations for me, I really enjoyed the story. I think it is the best in the series so far and I’m really anticipating where the author will go from here!

I received an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review but I specifically asked for it!

There are no mysteries in space. Except for kidnappings or maybe some mystical chants or maybe even a little (ok) a whole lot of courageous female enragement and fierce warrior possessiveness going on! Vivian's adventure on Yedahn is more than she thought about while trying to spice up her boring and regulated existence on Earth. But coming across Tai'ri may just be the one shining star to come out of her whole ordeal. this is Book 4 in the Warriors of Yedahn series and may easily be read as a stand-alone. As stated in the blurb "Download now because you love action on distant planets, high tech alien civilizations, heroines who start off as damsels but end up taking no prisoners, and warriors not afraid to kill for what they claim."

Vivian is kidnapped by human traffickers and is impregnated by a male trafficking victim, without the consent of either party. The traffickers intend to sell her and her baby. Luckily, she is rescued by Yedahn warriors and taken to their planet. Her sperm donor is identified as Tai’ri, an elite Yedahn warrior who wishes to mate her and claim their baby. Vivian is definitely overwhelmed, but she better start paying attention because the traffickers have no intention of losing their cash cow—Vivian.

Tai’ri is my sexy new best boyfriend, and I bet he’ll be yours, too. Don’t miss him, and this exciting story!

Vivian never expected that a little bit of rebellion would place her in such circumstances. Tai'ri works for the government and ends up undercover many times, but this time it got personal. These two have so much they need to overcome, and not a lot of time to do it.
I adore Vivian and how much she refuses to just play the victim here. She doesn't cower in the back hiding away, she wants to make sure she can never be taken so easily again. I love her spirit. I am really looking forward to seeing if/when her new friend gets her own story as well. I would also love a story for that one female guard. Need to go look up her name again, don't want to miss spell it.

I loved this story.
Another great book in the Warriors of Yedahn series.
Vivian is an amazing character, thrown in the deep end. Captured, pregnant and continuously under threat, she finds her self and power.
Tai'ri failed in freeing the prisoners, instead he was captured. Now free again his life and priorities have changed and he must do all he can to protect his family.
This story is full of emotion: passion, pain, love, fear, hope and greed.
I love the character detail and plot depth.
I thorough enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I've been waiting for this addition to the series and it didn't disappoint. You get to meet new characters who face their own challenges. Their love is a sweet, slow-burn until it ignites in a hot and fun story. There are a few heart-racing moments that keep you turning the pages until the end until all of a sudden the book is over and you don't know how it happened! A great read you won't be disappointed in.

This is my honest opinion of this title.

I had been looking forward to the continuation to this series let me tell you that it was so worth the wait!!! This was definitely not your typical PNR romance it's a very slow burn but when things do ignited its so worth it. So add in the action, suspense, and intrigue and you have a helluva read so looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Going for a run can change your life.

Kidnapped by alien traffickers and artificially impregnated, Viv has a doubtful future. After she and the father are freed, genetic tests unite them to raise the baby. But the aliens want their investment back.

I enjoyed this book, especially the strong female characters. The love story is good, and the plot was exciting.

Well written action-packed alien romance with kidnappings, drama, suspense, a mate bond and intense chemistry and a kicka$$ heroine. The book is expertly written and draws the reader in from the first page, I was unable to put the book down. The story line and characters are well developed with depth and growth. Vivian, a pregnant not by choice, human is a strong woman, honorable, smart and feisty. She was kidnapped, experimented on and now pregnant with Tai'ri a Yedahn warrior's baby. She survives all the horrors she experienced and adapts to her new rescued life with Tai'ri but she is unable to survive Tai'ri's kindness, sweetness and protective ways and she falls hard. I loved that Vivian learned to protect herself and uses her newly acquired skills.

Tai'ri is a member of the royal guard and while investigating a trafficking ring he ends up being kidnapped and experimented on, and finds out he is to be a father. He is overly protective of Vivian and is weary of telling her what the markings on her is as he does not want her to feel pressured or obligated. When he finally convinces Vivian to stay with him for safety sake after yet another attempt to kidnap her, emotions and feelings get intense and the author does an amazing job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between them and their growing attraction to each other. The supporting characters and relationships between them were realistic and well done. I loved this book can't wait to read more by this author.

So many ingredients for a fantastic story! I can't even pick out my favorite part, honestly. It has an intense plot, lots of intrigue, and characters that are interesting and compelling. The story builds from an abducted human who was used for experimental breeding to finding out that the aliens were also used in the experiments. Vivian could have been a shrinking violet victim, but she isn't. She's secretly a badash woman who isn't afraid to be heard. The evil aliens are after her throughout the book, there are many scenes where they try, and you think they might succeed. I can't give away the whole book, just know that it was had to leave it for even a few hours, I was picking up my kindle whenever I had a few minutes to spare. I read this out of order, but I still got the gist of the backstory, I didn't lose any comprehension of the plot, it was a smoothly written book, a highly enjoyable read.

I love a good paranormal story and this is my first book from this author so I was excited to read it. It was an okay read but there was just something that stopped that stopped it from being a hit read for me. I liked Vivian and Tai'ri characters and I enjoyed that their relationship wasn't lust at first sight. I liked that they developed a relationship first even though she was pregnant with his baby. I even liked Tai'ri's family but I can't say the same for Vivian's. This story had action, suspense and was steamy but it didn't leave me wanting to read the next book in this series. It wasn't a bad read, it just isn't a series for me.

Rather a bit of a jump into the story, we learn that Vivian was abducted and eventually impregnated by the aliens who held her. The child's father was also abducted and his seed removed and used to impregnate her without his knowledge.

Once made aware of this, his honour and family centric behaviour meant that he goes out of his way to make her feel loved and wanted and to be a part of his family.

It did feel like you'd already walked into a bit of the story, the focus being on the relationship growth.

Not nearly as bad as the previous books in this series. Apparently having the heroine fighting for her freedom in some capacity seems to be a common trope for this author. However in this story it was more appropriate to the story.

I didn't hate the heroine but I still didn't care about her tbh. Especially early on. The hero I liked. The story dragged alot and I couldn't have cared less reading about the heroine training etc. I pushed through and finished it.

Safe to say I'm done with this author. Many reasons why that I won't delve into.
