He’s everything I don’t want.
A typical Alpha male who thinks he can sweep into my life without invitation.
An obnoxious, pretentious business boss who can’t pass up an opportunity to fix things.
So I do the only thing I can think of: I bolt for the exit.

The guy’s not giving up or doing things halfway, though.
And obnoxious or not, he knows what he’s doing.
He’s also sinfully hot and has tall, dark, and handsome down to an art form.
And no matter how furious I am over his forwardness, my resolve is starting to waver.

My instinct is to be annoyed by his arrogance, confidence, and feral grace.
But then his earthy, masculine scent washes over me, and my head goes all staticky.
I know I can’t win the game he’s playing with me.
And let’s be honest: At this point, do I really want to?

Werebear Creek is full of more than just water to satisfy your appetite. It’s chockful of bad, possessive Bear Shifters who would love to just sink their teeth into you and make you theirs, completely and fully. Because once their mate comes along, nothing will stop them from claiming what’s theirs.

Hi there! I’m Layla Silver, and I’m so happy to see you here :) I’m a mom of three adorable kids and after all these years, still wildly in love with my awesome and hard-working husband. I LOVE to write about hot shifters, whether Wolves, Bears, or Dragons, who are looking for their mates and will do anything to protect them no matter what comes their way. When I’m not writing or spending time with my family (which is pretty rare, but I’m not complaining!), I like to be in the mountains chasing paranormal dreams.

**2.5/5 stars**

**sighs** It was a little bit too similar to the first installment: Bad Bear and the execution felt really...rushed? I didn't feel much development where it needed it. We start the story where we (somewhat) left it off, the village needing an Alpha after Thad and his older brothers Cooper and Sawyer defeated the Elders; putting a stop to their oppressing and old-fashioned way of leading the clan. We then follow Sawyer, CEO of his own successful company, who feels the pressure and doubts at being nominated to become the next Alpha, which would add more responsibilities on his shoulders.

I feel like Sawyer could've been really interesting. I just don't know what happened, I couldn't connect with his character, nor understand what he saw in Grier. I felt that he only was after her because she was his mate, but she didn't bring anything positive to the table. He was also said to be a womanizer, just like his brother Thad (but let's be honest, they are all going to be, I'm sure) but once he met Grier, he only had eyes for her. He was kind of bossy and smothering, had some stalker tendencies and was slightly old-fashioned in his wooing attempts. He was okay.

“All I had to do to get you in a shower with me was nearly die? If I’d known it was that easy …”-Sawyer

I think that Grier was probably the most boring main character for me. First of all, can I mention how much I dislike her name? For some reason, whenever I had to read her name, my teeth gritted because I kept pronouncing it like ''gruyere''...like the CHEESE!! And it just really disturbed the reading flow for me. Anyway, she wasn't interesting at all. She was pushing Sawyer away but her reasoning just never made sense to me. She was just really judgmental, defensive and kept making assumptions. She was also very stubborn and refused any help from Sawyer at finding a new job. Honestly, she was annoying, I said it.

“He touched me like he intended to ruin me for anyone else as long as I lived.”-Grier

Like I said above, I felt like the plot, especially the ending, was too similar to the first installment Bad Bear. I also didn't really understand where the conflict with the antagonist came from. His motives didn't make sense and he was pretty lame. Other than that, the chemistry between Sawyer and Grier wasn't nonexistent, BUT it was really wavery. The connection wasn't really there because, on one hand, we had Sawyer, who had no real reason to pursue Grier other than the fact that she was his mate and that she was pretty. And on the other hand, we had Grier who was pushing him away without really knowing him and making assumptions. There was no real bonding, and with the rushed ending, it was just a disappointing couple.

“Wooing a woman via email was hardly my preferred method, but if Grier was up for the challenge, so was I.”-Sawyer

The thing that I liked? Eh...I think I liked the beginning the most. The first encounter between Sawyer and Grier seemed promising, especially when Sawyer became slightly stalkerish and self-inserted himself, attempting to woo her. I liked their email exchanges but yeah, everything fell kind of flat in the end.

In conclusion, definitely my least favorite book in this series so far. Hopefully the next one brings newer flavors to the plot. At this point, I'm just hoping that the ending will be different 😅🤞

This is another fun read in this series that followed on from Werebear Ranch and you should do yourself a favour and read both series The writing flows well and you are fully engaged by the characters

Sawyer is a boss that is used to getting what he wants and when he walks into a coffee shop and sees Grier then he decides there and then she will be is after all his bear is saying mate. The only problem is that Grier has had to deal with men that don't know the meaning of the word no before Her old boss Grant wanted her and when she wouldn't comply he sacked her but can she resist Sawyer when he sets out to woo her. He even tries to spin a story that he can turn into a bear then the unthinkable happens her old boss tracks her down and challenges Sawyer over her and they both turn into bears now she knows he was telling the truth He may have won the fight but he was seriously injured but she will stay by his side to care for him because she is starting to have feelings for this bossy bear.

Brilliant

Sawyer finds his mate at a coffee shop but doesn’t understand her reaction to him he needed to find out why. Grier why was this infuriating man trying to help her until he gave her his card and rebuffed his offer of help and walked quickly away. The reaction she has to Sawyer is because of the position he holds and if he does her a favour what he wanting in return the same as her old boss and because Grier wouldn’t give it to him he fired her.
Sawyer keeps in touch with Grier through emails or unexpected visits at her place. Eventually Sawyer needs to tell Grier his secret he needs to take her to where he lives and for Grier not to tell anyone. Grier doesn’t believe what Sawyer is telling her until one of his clan challenged Sawyer in front of Grier this is not how he wanted Grier to find out but has no choice now.
Grier can’t believe what she was seeing her old boss Grant challenging Sawyer and both turning into bears and then the fight
and how bad Sawyer looked after he has won. While Sawyer was healing it gave Grier to think about who Sawyer really is and that it is in his nature to help people. Sawyer wakes up to Grier holding his hand he never wants her to leave and what she tells him he will never let her go

••••••••••••••
🔹️Boss Bear is BearShifter Sawyer Donovan, his clan want him to be Alpha but does he want to? Will it be to much for him, he’s a CEO of his own company. Plus he just went to a coffee shop and there in a table by him was his human MATE, how much more can he take on?

🔹Grier Hayward was trying hard to avoid her married boss but he called her into his office, basically telling her to strip then bend over his desk, this was absolutely out question. But HR fired her today, they came up with some lousy excuse. So here I am crying in my coffee and I have the best luck this well known playboy is coming on to me. Now what? Definitely a Must Read to find out plus the fight of the the century will be a definite life changer.

☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.

Ok, i give this one a 3.5 star because of the h, (JesusMotherofGod!!!!) this is the second book of the almost a hundred that I read that I wish I could get inside of the story and smack that annoying B!!! Always with the stupid assumptions and thinking she knows the intentions of the H. 99% of the book i just felt she did not deserve such an amazing guy like Sawyer, he was there for her not being obnoxious at all and she just felt annoyed by him. Really!?!? I can comprehend a little bit due to her parents were a little controlling or whatever but she could have being more understanding for real.

Now that I finish my venting (sorry for that) I can say the book did not bored me, I liked the development of the community now that the Elders are gone and where they are headed now, Thad and Cooper being a pain in the *ss but always supportive to each other as always more now with the new changes. Overall I just feel Sawyer needed a stronger h, otherwise it would have been probably better than the first one.

How special. This male mate talks about how if she was another woman he would peel off her dress and bang her on the table. But she’s “special”. How romantic. I love knowing how this guy who screw any woman like she’s just a hole to use. What á mate!!!🙄 hint: don’t talk about other women in the past or what you would do with them when you’ve met your mate. This is wrong in so many ways that I can’t even read any more.

A wonderful love story.

How to convince the girl of my dreams to be my mate? A nasty boss who fired her because she turned him down and the guy she thought was too good for me, but I will convince her she is just right.

My sprite

Boss Bear is book two in the series Werebear Creek by author Layla Silver. Intriguing and gritty. This one has a bit of a dark side to it. The alpha male has fallen and hard- only is issue is feisty mate is giving him the runaround. Secrets may just be the end before there’s even a beginning.
Enjoy!!

Calm Bear

Grier and Sawyer were interestingly enough together through coffee. I know, right. Who meets coffee today? Everybody does, seems like today
