A unique mix of paranormal and steampunk

First, I liked this wasn’t a short novel. It’s an amazing blend of different genres in one: historical fiction, steampunk adventure, and paranormal. The story is set in the Victorian era and it revolves around a woman with psychic abilities and magic. There is a lot of fast-paced action, suspense, but it also has funny moments to make up for the sometimes bleak background of the story. The characters, especially the main one, are well-defined and believable.

A perfect read for the Halloween season, or for those who love the Victorian era and magic. From the way it’s written I can say the author probably loved good ghost stories as well. The ending was a bit too abrupt, but I can’t wait for the other book in the series!

What to expect:
✨️ 3rd person POV
✨️ Paranormal dark fantasy
✨️ Steampunk/gaslamp/Victorian Era
✨️ Fast paced action
✨️ Great world building

Tesla St Vrain has a really great mix of steampunk/gaslamp and Paranormal adventure. The story is fast paced with lots of action and a little bit of humour thrown in too. The world building is exception and the characters are well thought out, extremely through and very interesting. It was a really great book and I'm looking forward to more, especially from this author who wasn't previously on my radar

One of the few books, lately, that I wasn't able to put down. Just enough characterization, just enough intriguing world-building, and just enough action. Loved how the characters got to know each other. The world and characters are colorful, well fleshed out, and interesting without lots of boring description.

By creating a unique fusion of dark fantasy, paranormal fiction, horror, historical fiction and steampunk, the author creates a world of terror and wonder unlike any other. The Aetherstorm Chronicles will take you on a journey through a world where ghosts, demons, and forgotten terrors roam freely, and where danger lurks around every corner.

Lots of imagination in this one. The characters are weaved very well with the plot overall without having to sacrifice any plot holes like most other steampunk books I've read. Well done!

Awesome Gaslamp Dark Fantasy with a Helping of Horrow

I love Gaslamp fantasies. The Victorian era is such a rich backdrop for all things magic. So right way, this book sucked me in.

The MC Tesla—love that name BTW—is a physic who falls into unexpected powers & subsequently commits herself to protecting the earth from dark forces.

Great writing, fast pacing, and a dash of Lovcraft.
