This was a clean romance with a side of suspense. Thomas is a playboy billionaire who loses a lot of money on one roll of the dice. The moment is captured by Morgan, a photographer who sells the photo to augment her income.
These characters initially do not like each other; however, as Thomas and Morgan spend more time together, their opinions change. It is during this time that Thomas finds himself with a guardian angel, one he can't seem to shake despite his best efforts. (The dialogue between them is really funny, as well as the angel's clothing!)
The author has written a fabulous book based on the wine industry in California. In this novel, some vineyards have been destroyed by fire. As the story unfolds, the reader is given a front row seat to a wonderful romance blossoming between Thomas and Morgan. As their relationship grows, sinister events surround them. When Thomas's family vineyard is targeted, both Morgan and Thomas will get caught in the crosshairs of the guilty.
This is a clean suspenseful romance that will deliver the HEA with a satisfying ending. 5 stars.

Taming the Carefree Billionaire is a sweet romance. Thomas is a lazy playboy, and Morgan is a photographer for a tabloid paper. Surprisingly both eventually end up being likable characters. Having an angel trying to earn his wings by getting Thomas back on the right road added a lot of fun to the story, as the angel kept showing up in bizarre outfits. There is mystery and suspense in the plot, which I also enjoyed. I was totally surprised by the identity of one of the bad guys. I got my copy through KU.

Seems like forever since Marie Higgins’ last billionaire book but the wait was worth it. Thomas needed to meet that special someone. Like all her books, this one has a terrific story line, great characters (Percy is a real character), humor, romance and a bit of a mystery. I loved the book and look forward to the next one. If you haven't read her previous Tycoon series books, do yourself a favor and get them.

Taming the Carefree Billionaire just may be my favorite of the books about the Powers bachelors. Thomas and Morgan are both thoroughly developed, charismatic characters. with a lot of chemistry. I love Thomas' guardian angel Percy! There is a touch of intrigue with Morgan's concern that the vineyard fires are arson and related. I could not put down this book. It is a charming, lively, heartwarming romance with both a touch of magic and intrigue .

This story reminds me of the movie at Christmas called It's A Wonderful Life. Thomas has a guardian angel but he believes the "angel" is just a pesky man. Morgan thinks is a rogue & doesn't like him. But to reveal the truth about him they must work closely together which can prove dangerous for both of them. As with most of Ms. Higgins that is a mystery. That's why I like her works so much.

Good characters and dialogue keeps you reading right along with the mystery and twists and turns as you follow there journey.
I really enjoyed this story, it made me giggle every time Percy showed up, Just have to love him. You have to read.

Oh those spoiled billionaires and their carefree lives! Well sometimes it catches up to you!
In this sweet romantic story Thomas seemed to be on a roll, but then he sees a beautiful photographer snapping his photos and of course she gets the one when his luck changes with a roll of the dice!
But then he meets his guardian angel Percy!
I loved this story. Humor, a little suspense, very interesting information of the wine industry and a journey to a happy ever after! What more could you want? Oh yes your own guardian angel!
