Have you ever been dickmatised? Don't ask me for the meaning oo. Go and ask Google 🤭🤭🤣🤣
Grace was a cut throat business executive who slay in the board rooms and won deals as easily as she breath. Her career was her life but she had one weakness: her ex-husband!One look at him and this strong woman will turn into a helpless quavering mass of horny teenage girl. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Well, it happened that lust was the only thing she had in common with her husband, Ken and hence they couldn't make the marriage work out for good. Even though, they were divorced, they couldn't stay away from each other. Can you see there is serious gobe? 😁😁
As this couple were busy trying to sort their differences, Imelda was going through physical and emotional torture in the hand of the useless scum she called a husband. This kind thing dey vex me ehn? I felt like jumping into the book and killing that scumbag. I will leave you to find out by yourself if she escaped or not. **winks**
Just when you thought this beautiful couple would figure it out and everything would be dandy, one lunatic came out of nowhere and decided to play hide and seek with their lives. The way my heart jumped and raced ,ehn? Chai! Okafor Rosemary Ozioma nearly killed me.
"One More Night" is the story of friendship, lust, passion, blackmail, murder, second chances and freedom. It has something to satisfy every romance lover.
This book was mad super crazy. I was on the fence about actually liking Grace when she had real love in Ken and she almost threw it away for her own selfish ambitions and comparing them to her parents. Ken could've fought harder to not get divorced but I'm sure his pride got in the way of knowing that she didn't want their marriage nor a baby with him. Ken unknowingly attracts the attention of Chinyeaka who turned out to be hazardous to Grace's health in more ways than one. Imelda took so much off Ahmad and i was glad when she left him and eventually ended up finding love from Kolawole. It was so sad when Grace lost one of the babies due to Chinyeaka's scheme but at least Chinyeaka got hers in the end. Mary nosey self worked my nerves at times always in everyone's but she was a good friend to Grace.
There are loads of books out there but a few grips you till the end.
Sometimes life throws us around in circles and in a bid to follow our dreams, we loose sight of what really matters. Grace is given another shot at life and love when she reunites with her ex-husband. Will her desire for the life she always wanted coupled with the kind of life her parents had deter her from being happy? Maybe, Grace should not bear the blame alone.... what part did Ken play in all this? Just maybe Ken should not have given in easily to the divorce. But like most Nigerian men, knowing Grace didn't want the marriage or a baby made Ken lose every fight for their love. Chinyeaka who sees in Ken all she wants, will do everything to win Ken even though it is to Grace's detriment. And I was elated when Imelda who finally finds love with Kolawole left Ahmad after all she took from him; a reaffirmation that true love does exist. And in a twist of events which I never expected, Grace loses one of her babies all thanks to the schemes of Chinyeaka who does not go unpunished in the end. Thank you for a well weaved story of love, ambition, family and good triumphant over evil.
This story is supposed to be about 3 women facing different challenges in their romantic adventures. Two were obvious (Grace, a divorced woman still in love with her ex, and Imelda a woman in an abusive relationship), but I wasn’t sure who the 3rd woman was supposed to be (my guess would have been their friend, Mary, but she didn’t feature much; and there was a crazy aspiring man-snatcher who didn’t get an HEA, but definitely got more page than Mary).
There’s drama to appeal to readers who like that. The story also showcases real issues facing ordinary Nigerians with a generally upbeat resolution.
One more night simply portrays the love life and harsh realities faced by most African women. Each of these characters have a story one can easily connect to, a woman who has to give up on her career for the sake of marriage, the one who is being battered but chose to still stay back for the sake of love or 'what will people say'...I feel so happy at the end that each of these beautiful strong women rediscovered themselves. One more night indeed gave me a night to remember and I LOVE IT!
I loved Grace’s character in this story. She made me laugh a lot. This author has a way with words that’s hilarious. A fun book about love and relationships.
Very fast-paced and beautifully written. The story follows multiple POVs, and I would have appreciated having each POV clearly labeled at every switch. The characters are far from perfect, which I loved, and in the end, everyone received the ending they truly deserved.
