Really not a fan of love triangles. Especially when the character is conflicted as long as Marty was.

A little mixed on my feelings
I enjoyed the first book of the series and was looking forward to another trip to Ruby's. This one focuses on Marty and Rey but the whole gang is back with their issues, drama, and love.
I have mixed feelings because Marty annoyed the heck out of me. She did what I felt was a complete 180 when her old crush came barreling into the scene, and honestly that whole situation felt weird from the get go because she literally came out of nowhere.
The issues with Rey were serious and the signs, I think, were subtly placed but there. This situation put me a bit off because while it can be difficult to pick up on, everyone, except Alice, kept pushing Rey to Marty almost like they wanted Marty to deal with it instead of seeing that Rey really needed help.
And oh my gosh...communication people. These two roommates were thick as thieves and one little bump sent them both spiraling so badly that they refused to talk to each other. I almost felt like I was in high school again.
Ok. That being said. I didnt hate the book and will continue to read the series if and when more come out. I'm interested to know how Tate and Liza fair and was actually really interested in their story. Nikki, though she kinda pissed me off in this book, is a story I'd like to know more about. And the whole Becca thing, though also from left field, was an interesting dynamic thrown in and revealed something interesting about Vivian. Well, it's a kU book so the only thing you really lose is time. Give it a go

The Gang is Back!
I loved Welcome to Ruby’s and was so happy to see the gang back together again. This story focuses on Rey and Marty. Facing eviction and possible separation from Marty and trouble at work, Rey isn’t her usual sunny self this Christmas season. Her only bright spots are the time she spends with her friends at Ruby’s and of course Marty. While decorating Ruby’s for the holidays, Marty almost gets her Christmas wish and nearly kissed Rey under the mistletoe. If only it weren’t for that call that would change things for both women, and not necessarily for the good…
This is a really good book! It was really well written and a delight to read. I really liked this story. It was filled with angst and drama galore and was an emotional roller coaster, but what a delightful ride. While I knew this book would end in a HEA, I was truly worried for Rey and Marty, especially Rey. I just wanted to wrap her in a blanket and hold her tight but I digress… This is a fast and easy read that you won’t want to put down and for me, I wanted to go back and re read the first book just to spend more time with these adorable women.
I’m really hoping there will be a third installment of this special drama featuring Nikki…

I love this author. I really do look forward to reading her books. However, this was the first book that I was disappointed in how slow the story developed. I mean like achingly slow. One sex scene and then there was no real emotional connection that transpired between the main characters. To me, it was like what was the point?? I understand they were afraid to communicate to each other but did it have to take up 99% of the entire story?? Good grief....

Rey and Marty are roommates. Each privately loves the other. Neither has the courage to tell the other how she feels. Then a woman from Marty's past comes into their lives and all hell breaks loose. You can't put this book down, a definite page turner. 5 stars!

Not Last Call
I’m so pleased that KC Luck has given us another chance to spend time with the regulars at Ruby’s Bar. This time, with the lease on their apartment being cancelled by the owner, roommates Marty and Rey are forced to face their feelings for one another as more than “just friends.” Their pals at Ruby’s know they belong together. Now if they can just get the hapless pair to acknowledge that as fact. Numerous forces keep them from getting to the point. A former high-school crush, friends’ marriage issues, finding a new place to live and a case of something worse than just having the blues all conspire against them. New Years Eve is approaching and Midnight may be the make it or break it moment for them. If they could just get a minute alone. This is a wonderful story and the characters are people with a lot going on! In fact they have so much going on, and there were so many story threads that were left hanging, you can almost feel a third book on the horizon. One can only hope!

Not sure typical romance novel, but an important read..

I read Welcome to Ruby's and Back to Ruby's one after the other.
Midway through Back to Ruby's, I was getting annoyed with the characters and impatient for things to move along. There can only be so many misunderstandings and self deprecating thoughts to undermine a romance.
The story of the bar carried things along, and then I was caught in the plot twist. This is not a typical romance story, because every woman is not just an underconfident, but well adjusted person ready for the love of her life to sweep her off her feet. Fortunately Mandy is the friend that Rey needs and sees what she needs in time for a happy, appropriate, but atypical ending.
I finished the story, impressed that Luck managed to lead me down the garden path, made me feel what her characters were feeling and turn me on my ear with her plot twist. KC Luck taught me something and showed me a glimpse of real life in this important story.
Happy endings are not all alike.

I love KCs Ruby
I enjoyed 2. The story between Ray & Marty starting as best friends with a spark between them from the day they had met. The shared an 2 bedroom apartment. Most of their friends were paired up. Neither would admit to the other how they felt about the other out of fear the feelings would not be reciprocated. Their story went on for a long.time throughout the book. The miscommunication, the high school flame who got Marty all turned around because the girl of her high school dreams wanted her all these years later. A crazy ride with a very tight group of friends and Nikki one very hot, fiercely protective friend.

Frustratingly Good!
The second installment for “Ruby’s Bar” series took a frustrated turn. Although Rey and Marty love each other neither knew how to take the next step further. Then an old flame of Marty’s reappears and suddenly Marty is conflicted with her feelings. Then we have Tate and Liza going at it, not happy and causing chaos in the group and just when we get further along in the book, guess who’s back. Crazy stuff and angst galore. But I am trusting KC that their is a point to all this.

Quite a storyline
Marty and Rey being the main characters kept this reader on her toes keeping up with their drama. The additional dramas added with the break up and the reappearance of an ex wife as well as an ex girlfriend added depth and to this story. This book was written very well and was enjoyable and entertaining. I liked it almost as much if not as much as the first book by K. C. Luck.

Amazing story
Familiar characters from the first book but the story is so wonderfully link them together with a different focus this time but with the familiar atmosphere of Ruby’s. Old nemesis and new challenges the characters have to face but with love, loyalty, a lot of friendship and excellent sense of humour. Looking forward to read a book about Nikki. Well done loved it and towards the end I cried as I could understand more some reactions during the story.

Back to Ruby's (Ruby's Bar Book 2)
Awersome read and story this time it's mainly revolves around Marty and Rey who are still looking for a new place to live with little luck. They are still dancing around each other to.
This is a story about loss, betrayal,truth and much more..
KC Luck did an excellent job writing this cannot wait for her next one in this series.

Classic romance of miscommunication
If you get frustrated with "just talk already" romances, then this story will have you screaming at Rey and Marty.
I confess, I was frustrated to the point of even considering a DNF BUT DON'T... Stick with it because there's a very good reason I had missed for a lot of that frustration and its simply beautiful when it becomes clear.
KC is clearly setting up so many other storylines for the other characters. I cannot wait!

Sweet
I don’t want to give a bad review because it was a good story, but I had to skip a lot of pages because there was so much back and forth drama between Marty and Rey I felt like it would never end I grew aggravated and then pissed at Marty and then just sad for Rey but it was a good ending book 1 of this series was fantastic. I hope book 3 doesn’t have so much back and forth drama

Wow I don't know how kc luck does it but another fantastic heartfelt storyline loved it well worth the wait exceptionally written had my emotions were with the main characters throughout what a beautiful rollercoaster congratulations.

Frustrating
This story is entertaining but very frustrating. The main characters were very much in love with each other. Neither would tell the other until the end of the story. I would like to see them together before the story ends.

Wonderfully written
Two women who likes each other but there is a third wheel that keeps Marty away from Rey. Bethany, the third wheel can't make up her mind. The reader is ping pong between the three ladies until it's climax. Good reading.

Glad to be back at Ruby's
Some heavy topics, but filled with the signature loving F/F relationships. You delve back into the supportive family of friends a Ruby's bar and watch them pick up peices and move e forward. Some great steamy scenes as well! Loved this book!

Wonderful
Always love these books where the is real strife in a characters life that conflicts the issue of something as simple as love. The issues Rey deals with are deep and painful and makes me so glad she has Marty! Now we just need to real with nikkis playgirl attitude!

Amazing story
This is an amazing story, is about love, friendship, depression and support. The characters are diverse and genuine, there's a lot of drama around Marty and Rey, but the end is sweet. I love it.

I Loved This Book
When I finished Welcome to Ruby's I was hoping to get Rey and Marty's story and I wasn't disappointed. The second book in the series and I so hope it's not the last. I would love to see Nikki find her match.

Loved going back and seeing all the characters again
