Mình không quá ngạc nhiên khi biết quyển này do Cửu Bả Đao viết, mình chỉ sốc vì đây là lần đầu đọc cách viết theo hướng thriller này của ông ấy. Mấy ngày trước mình vô tình xem một bộ phim có tình tiết vừa biến thái vừa lắt léo liên tiếp, xem qua mình đoán được là phim này có sách, và khi tìm ra sách mình ngạc nhiên là tác giả là Cửu Bả Đao.

樓下的房客: 插畫書衣版 mở đầu với người kể chuyện "tôi" - người nhận được một tòa nhà của người chú để lại. "Tôi" sau đó bắt đầu tu sửa và cho thuê nhà, nhưng do địa hình hẻo lánh nên giá thuê cứ giảm dần, nhưng điều đáng sợ là khi mức thuê giảm, gã chủ nhà lắp những chiếc camere dạng pinhole khắp tòa nhà - mỗi ngày gã theo dõi nhất cử nhất động của người cho thuê.

Cái đáng sợ của câu chuyện là ở người kể chuyện, gã khao khát muốn nhìn thấy và lột hết mọi bản chất xấu xa của con người. Hết lần này đến lần khác gã như một đạo diễn liên tiếp tạo nên những rắc rối, dàn xếp những drama với những người thuê nhà của gã. Vừa đọc mình vừa ghê lại vừa sốc với những gì gã chủ nhà đang làm. Như mình đã nói, mình chỉ bất ngờ vì lần đầu đọc cách viết như thế này của Cửu Bả Đao, nhưng mình không bất ngờ vì trước đây mình đã đọc qua vài bài review về mấy cuốn Lên lớp không được đọc tiểu thuyết và Lên lớp không được nướng xúc xích , thấy bảo hai quyển đó dung tục, hài đen các kiểu và quyển này nó cũng có những thứ tăm tối như trên.

Dù tình tiết truyện nhanh và liên tục, nhưng mình thấy nó quá lộn xộn, mọi tình tiết xuất hiện cùng một lúc chẳng thể nào bắt kịp hết. Chỉ dưới mỗi lời kể của gã chủ nhà nhắc đi nhắc lại về việc gã muốn nhìn những điều xấu xa bị che giấu, mình đồng ý là cái twist sau hợp ký với cái suy nghĩ có phần lặp lại này, nhưng cái twist gần như phá hủy hết mọi hứa hẹn của truyện. Bên cạnh đó cách viết của quyển này rất giống mấy truyện đăng tải lên internet á =)) không có chiều sâu hay phát triển nào hết, mọi tình tiết cứ thế xảy ra, điều mình quan tâm duy nhất là cặp thuê nhà đồng tính trong truyện. Và khi tới cái kết mình lại thất vọng, cái kết cũng na ná phim chuyển thể nhưng cái kết của sách tệ hơn, dù sách hay phim mình đều cảm thấy nó khiến cho mọi thứ ban đầu như bỏ đi vậy.

haha can I really say I enjoyed this… I’m glad I finally got around to reading this and actually finishing a chinese (traditional no less) book after a decade. but the story felt like it was fucked up for the sake of being fucked up, was there any real character depth that I could really enjoy? unsure. my memory of 九把刀’s writing may have placed him on a higher pedestal than he’s earned

My first light novel. Finished in one sitting. (3.5)

I don't remember why exactly this was recommended to me but I just got around to it.
I've been wanting to read this since 2016, I knew it was gonna be fucked up but this is a different kind of fucked up.

Deliciously creepy and disgustingly decadent!

Wtf did I just read?!

I'm still unable to reorganize my feelings about this novel.

Our main prontagonist is Mr. Landlord. He inherits an apartment from his uncle and rents it intentionally to tenants with weird and even criminal hobbies.

There's Mr. Wang and his daughter. This man is fvcking pedo and lusts after his own daughter🤮🤮

Miss. Chen, a corporate worker, with two boyfriends🤡🤡

A homosexual couple, Ling Hu and Guo Li😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️

Old man Zhang with a kink of drinking expired milk🤢🤢

Bo Yan, a college student, with too much time on his hands (literally)🙄🙄

And Ying Ru, the writer🤐🤐

Our prontagonist in his own words is a director and his tenants are the actors acting out his script. A great analogy my friend made was that the MC is the devil tempting the dark sides of his fellow dwellers continuously. And it really suits him. However, the MC himself possess all the dark qualities of his actors but does not act on it (at least all the way through).

The author did a brilliant job with this novel. The storyline, the suspense, the writing style- was spectacular🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. The author made me afraid of the possibility of how dark it'd could have gone and how dark it'd go. Though, there's plenty of dark themes in here still. Mind you, there's violence, gore, disgusting description of every kind of human fluids. So be warned.

Would absolutely recommend! I'd like to read other works of this author. If I have the courage, I might as well check out the movie.

文笔苍白无力，故事情节夸张且戏剧性十足。有些用词与句子十分通俗。这是一本通俗的恐怖小说。而且是三流的（这是作者自己说的）。比起恐怖小说，我觉得这应该是个闹剧般的喜剧。故事最后交代着是一个杀人犯的自白书，或许这是节奏和剧情混乱的原因。看到一半我几乎看不下去，作者安排这样的结局让我很欣慰。不是因为房东被抓而是因为它以另外一个人的角度看了整个故事。自白书的解释也让我原谅了通俗文笔。我感兴趣的是房东和颖如的心理状态。对其他房东如何设计房客的计划没有兴趣。整房客的闹剧我想在戏剧表演上才会有趣。可是不管是在显露房东的心理变化还是房客的个性和之间的互动，文笔都是失败的。对了，每次看到伯彦被弄就真的觉得很好笑。我对它因为电影抱期望，结果好失望。不推荐这本书，不要浪费时间。
你知道我觉得这个故事最不符合逻辑的地方在哪里吗？不是那26个巧合，而是老张用肥皂遮住陈小姐的眼睛，她的眼睛尽然不会刺痛。
吐槽：老张赤裸裸的爬出来，他将衣服跟世俗的莫名其妙，一齐留在空洞的衣柜里。他赤裸裸的来到这个世界，现在也要赤裸裸的寻找全新的人生（哇佬！俗到。。。）

我在看這本書當中，我的閱讀app程錯了，我無法看第六章的內容，所以剩下的章節我也很迷惑了。但我看得懂的部分都非常可怕，這本書絕對比「等一個人咖啡」寫得好。
