A pack is only as strong as their Alpha. After an attack injures our Alpha, a rival pack tries to take control of the Midwest Pack. I have to consider the unimaginable to protect my pack—challenge our Alpha. A challenge against the pack’s Alpha is a challenge to the death. Am I prepared to do this?

Loyalties are divided and our pack is ready to implode. Saving my pack from self-destruction becomes impossible when Sky’s relationship with an enigmatic vampire puts a price on her head, and Josh’s continued use of dark magic brings on the wrath of the witches and earns him new enemies.

While the pack’s in chaos, it’s not just them I need to protect, but Sky and my brother as well. I’m starting to lose my tenuous grip on my control.

Lunar Bound is Ethan’s POV of Lunar Marked (Sky Brooks Series: Book 4) with added scenes and storylines. It can be read alone, but reading Lunar Marked first will enhance your reading experience.

McKenzie Hunter is the author of urban fantasy, dark fantasy, and paranormal romance books. She discovered early that new adventures were just a page-turn away; all she had to do was read a book. She’s had her share of escapades from hanging out with vamps, joining the chaos of shifter packs, creating spells with witches, and avoiding deals with the fae.

When she isn't working on her next book, she’s reading, binge-watching TV, or disappearing into her own world during nature walks (probably on the lookout for magical beings—or maybe not).

4.5

My lips spread into a relieved smile as I walked down the hallway. The smile slowly faded as I felt a tremor begin in my right hand. I clenched my fist to ward it off. The tremor only got worse. Raw emotion started to bubble to the surface. Post-traumatic stress, I told myself. The knowledge didn’t help. Now that Sky was safe and herself, the barriers I’d erected to mask my fears were starting to crumble. Somehow, I held my shit together until I reached my room. Sitting on the edge of my bed, I stared at my shaking hand, willing it to stop. I fought a while longer, stemming the tide with logic. A natural psychological reaction to a stressful situation. It’ll pass. That seemed to work for a time, then the quaking spread up my arm. Fear and relief intermingled in my chest. Tears streaked down my cheeks until I wiped them away, willed them back. That I could stop, at least. The shaking lasted for ten or fifteen minutes, then slowly waned. Once it ceased, I laid back on my bed, staring up at the ceiling until I fell asleep.

This is when I tell you that I wished I'd known that the series has a counterpart in Ethan's POV. I discovered so many scenes and plots that Skylar was not privy to and it explained why I felt like I missed some important scenes the first time when they were just told in passing. If I read the books alternately, I would've gotten the whole picture and must've hated Ethan a lot lesser.

Suffice to say, I now LOVE Ethan. The lengths he went through to protect Skylar and the pack made this a very tense, angsty, and vengeful read. His hero complex was a double-edged sword and this installment showed that very well. What also made this book so different and become a turning point (much like Skylar's book 4 as a turning point) was the abundance of vulnerability in Ethan. His resolve to ignore his feelings crumbling down and revealing the depth of his feelings for Sky. It was debilitating for him in a way especially when Sky's life was on the line but it also woke up the wild and monstrous part of him that enabled him to defeat the ones who meant them harm.

As Skylar grew immensely in her 4th book, Ethan's walls crumbled in his 4th book. It was an awesome combination that salvaged this series from a DNF for me. I'm happy I decided to read Ethan's books. ❤️

Great dual perspective

It has been interesting to watch Ethan grow as a character. The world around them is changing, and he is becoming more malleable and aware of those around him and how his actions affect them. He is opening up to others more and taking them into consideration. Honestly, his character has grown more than Sky's, so it will be interesting to see where the two of them end up.

Different views

I read this at the sametime as Sky's version. I like reading them that way, but I skip through the parts that overlap and just look at the two different perspectives which is actually very fascinating. Ethan and Sky see things completely different. Different assumptions and different opinions. There aren't too many times where they agree.

Lunar Bound (Sky Brooks World: Ethan Book 4) FINALLY !!!! ❤️❤️‍🔥

Lunar Bound (Sky Brooks World: Ethan Book 4) FINALLY !!!! ❤️❤️‍🔥❤️❤️‍🔥 Sky and Ethan finally drop their walls around each other!!! There is a lot going on in this book! I won't go into too much bc I don't want to spoil anything but this is one of my faves out of the series. We get to know learn a little more about Ethan and Sky is still trying to figure out her place in the world but she is getting there. They did something and lifted all curses on the paranormal. Don't want to give any more tidbits on this. The series is getting better and better with each book! I definitely recommend this series / books and the audible books. Now onto book 5 ...

Best Ethan book so far

This Was by far one of Ethan's Best Point of view Story. Not only does it yes follow along Skylar's Original POV , It expands more into HIS side of life and pack duties even more profoundly! I love how muti- Fractual he is inside himself and how complex it makes things. Just an all together great read - More so when read Side by side with Skylars appropriate volume as well!

Poor sky

This book is book 4 following Ethan (you can read the original story from skylars series. from her mind) but luckily this author has added a lot of new chapters because Ethan was not with sky every minute.I think it's clear sky is his mate but he has never thought it for us to see, but he knows she is important to him, from day one he felt the need to keep her safe.

4 X Wows. A world with a constant war, blood and love

Skylar and Ethan finally find love, but with who? Ethan seems to always have the weight of the world on his shoulders all of the time. He tries to protect his pack and its members. Does he and his brother finally resolve their problems. You have to follow Ethan’s story.

I love filling in the gaps with Ethan's story.

I enjoyed Sky's version of this book so much, but Ethan's book is even better. It's a much clearer picture of him, the good and the bad, which even he recognizes. This book might have even been more action packed than Sky's, with the added stories of what all he had to deal with instead of sleeping.

It was to have read the Sky Brooks first and get and get a lot of information filled in. Everything comes together more and more. I want to finish Ethans side. Where are the next few books????

Ethan and Sky

Ethos is back and is trying to get control of Maya. Ethan and Sky finally get together. McClintock and Tanya are hunters after Ethan, on contract from Marcia. Marcia and Ethos partner up. Samuel and London come and help.

A task to read

Probably the slowest of the series. It felt like it dragged on more than anything. I was hoping for something bigger with killing Ethos being able to read it from Ethan's point of view.

Nothing New

Just a retelling of the sky Brooks book from a less exciting perspective. For being an Ethan book a big part of his story is still missing... Very disappointing.

I enjoyed this book from Emerson Knight more that I did Skylar's books. I have not found more from Ethan's point of view, which is a shame.

4 out of 5 stars.

Another wonderful book from Ethan’s perspective. Unlike a lot of series that decide to do the male lead’s perspective after the fact, these books continually stand out as well-written novels that could stand on their own, without the original female lead’s published series.

Gutted I can only give this book 5 stars, it deserves more. This is the best book yet (although I have to admit I say that about every book in this series). I have read the complete Sky Brooks series by McKenzie Hunter & knew from the start it was going to be a series that I read again and again, then incomes Emerson Knight to retell us the story from Ethans POV. I love this method with authors (dual POV) but usually it is done by the same author & so can often be repetitive, with just a few chapters changed! Not at all with these books, it was like reading a whole new series, making it difficult to put the book down. I didn’t feel cheated or like McKenzie left any questions unanswered, but I felt like Emerson’s version gave us so much detail & therefore another strand to an already amazing story. It doesn’t matter if you read them by rotation (Sky Brooks 1 & then Ethans, Sky Brooks 2 & then Ethans etc) or wether you read all of Sky Brooks & then start again by reading Emerson’s retelling in Ethans POV because the books coincide beautifully & they work either way! Do it! Start the series today, you won’t be disappointed, cannot recommend enough! Well done Emerson Knight you’ve done it again, I’m starting another series reread 👏🏻.
I was given an Arc of this book for an honest review

have read other series retelling of a story from a different character's point of view, but Emerson Knight and McKenzie Hunter do not disappoint and this book is brilliant!

I couldn't put it book down... I loved reading Ethan's POV and I can't wait for next one. This book is an original point of view and it truly deepens the layers of what are already complex and intertwined plots. Its incredible how much more there is to know and it's truly well done.

This book is very fast paced so buckle up buttercup because this is a fast train that will keep you on the edge of your seats. This isnt just a rewrite of the original book but a deeply detailed enhancement and knowing what happens if you have been reading the series does not take away from the intensity of this book. If anything it enhances it to the point I was rereading its companion and thinking OMG this is fantastic. Brilliant look into an intensely complex character. I not only highly recommend it. I feel it's a must have companion to an amazing series.

Lunar bound is an amazing account of the Sky Brooks series from another POV. Ethan takes us through the story from a completely different angle, there are loads of extras we never get to see in SBS, like how the pack is run, pack members relationships, Ethan and Sebastian’s relationship, and Josh and Ethan relationship. You get to see the man behind the Betahole and the decisions he makes. There is loads of extra story lines we also don’t get in SBS which brings the book into it own.. and makes it a completely new story as well as a different angle on an old one, it adds new adventures and action, new feeling and humour. I would really recommend reading on its own or alone side SBS.. truly brilliant.

Amazing, fast-paced book that entertains and enthralls.

It is a rare treat to read a story from a different point of view. Lunar Bound continued Ethan's perspective in the Sky Books series. It gives you insight into why Ethan and his relationships with his family, his pack and with Sky. This book is very fast-paced and takes you through how Ethan handles all the threats directed at him. This is an amazing stand alone book, but also a fascinating companion to the Sky Brooks series. I was absolutely enthralled with this book and can't wait to read more from Ethan's POV.

Truly spell bounding!

I so enjoyed Ethan's POV. Now I know what his feelings and struggles were. And so happy he's truly not an ass! Lol. I want more of course. Never want this story to end. So happy to have POV's so i stay in my fairy tale. I so love your writings and your imagination and it shows in your books keep writing fantasy books with werewolves and vampires in them!! Much love

I was so lucky to win an ARC of this book. The first half of the book is almost a completely new book, showing us what Ethan does when he isn’t with Sky, which has its own plot. The second half follows more the story from the Sky book, but from his point of view. A brilliant read.

Absolutely loved.
Ethan is like an onion - he has so many layers that need to be peeled back. So much raw emotion is within his story, and it's refreshing to read his views. The POV is brilliantly written, with plenty of nail biting and heart stopping moments.
