A hilarious new story from debut picture book artist Isabella Kung.
Fuzzball is Queen of the house. Her subjects just LOVE how she scales the tallest shelves and drags their belongings across the floor. Hear how they shout her name everywhere she goes ... "NOFUZZBALL!" But when they leave her queendom for the weekend, she questions whether she should be a more benevolent ruler.Fans of funny, lovable characters like Aaron Blabey's Pig the Pug, Mo Willems's Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, and David Shannon's No, David! will fall in love with this furry, feline despot.

The author’s portrayal of cat personality is spot-on, and the story is cute. My 5 and 3 year old enjoy this book but I don’t think they appreciate how uncanny the representation is since we don’t have a cat. It gives me a good chuckle as it reminds me of the cats I have owned, known, and loved. Especially Izzy, my sister’s cat who was a lovable snuggle muffin but also quite the drama queen.
This stellar recommendation was received from Vincent Vincent Bauml and the review is to be shared with him as well! I was delighted to share such fine literature with Lauren. The cover art promised great things (as did Vince) and as I have come to understand, he has acquired a fine taste for all things cats.
Isabella Kung...are you a cat turned human? How could you possibly understand cats so incredibly well? The facial expressions, body language, and behaviors mimicked a cat so frighteningly accurate. This of course made the story quite funny.
One star was removed due to length. It was simply too short. I could have had twice the length to fully appreciate the mastermind of Nofuzzball, the brilliant cat.
Here's to hoping for sequels, prequels, and even a multiverse for this storyline! (Come on Pixar, pick up the rights!)
Little did I know how this book, charming and expressive, would develop into a mystery. The main character lives in her own world with her unique perspectives on her subjects, humans. Her endearing personality jumps right out, accentuated by the colorful and fun illustrations. This story takes readers into the mind of a cat in her queendom as she tries to spend her alone time by being her usual, wonderful self. The last spread will surely make readers laugh with an unexpected moment of discovery.
Queen NoFuzzball! She is quite the queen. Her subjects shower her with attention and gifts, all purrfect and all of which she deserves, of course. When they leave her in peace and quiet she delights in the chance to get her beauty sleep. BUT, where are they when she needs them? And why are they gone so long? Oh dear. NoFuzzball gets to work re-designing her queendom, readying everything for her subjects’ return. She has a “signature style” of course. And they do return - with a new name and a new friend. Such a Fun read - for cat lovers and beyond!
A sweet and hilarious story from the point of view of a kitty queen, No Fuzzball! But what if her subjects are gone because they don't want to live in her queendom anymore? No Fuzzball makes sure to welcome in them own in her own special cat way. The illustrations of this fabulous feline are especially cute! A fantastic story for cat lovers everywhere.
All hail the queen!!! This book is pure joy and guaranteed fun for the whole family. Kung’s art is absolutely perfect. Kids will fall in love and laugh out loud with this adorable cat’s antics and notions. They will beg to read this adorable and hilarious picture book over and over again!
A cat tells the story of her relationship to her human servants, and then a time when they briefly left her. Fabulous illustrations. Very fun. Would probably be good for a preschool storytime.
A fun story for any child that loves cats. Captivating artwork and really relatable situations. I'm surprised there aren't more cat books for kids but if you're looking for one this is the best one I've seen.
Welcome to the Queendom of No Fuzzball, a fantastically furry and delusional kitty whose perspective on the mayhem she creates is hilarious! You will giggle with each page turn as No Fuzzball blissfully rules over her subjects with a royal attitude. In No Fuzzball, author/illustrator Kung has created that magical squishable love her and hate her character. Each page is awash in kitty antics and gorgeous colors. No Fuzzball is a great book for pet lovers, and those that fancy themselves worthy of a royal crown.
Having lost two, yes two couches to a pet cat, I can totally relate to this book. However, what we called OUR cat definitely couldn't be the title of a picture book :) This is a purrfect book about cat antics. It could be in the nonfiction section. A must for any cat owner, or soon to be cat owner!
Aaah a wonderful new picture book! Finally one I can award with five stars! Clever, funny, and relatable to any cat owners, this is like "The Boss Baby" but instead, Fuzzball the cat thinks she's the queen of the house. Illustrations are on point, and the endpapers add to the fun. All my boys (age 9, 7 and 4) enjoyed this one!
NO FULLBALL! is an adorable and hilarious book about an entitled cat who doesn’t notice that her kind and generous acts are wreaking havoc in the house. My kids love this book, and so do I! It’s a great read aloud, and the illustrations are fantastic. I highly recommend this book for a fun and funny read!
Calling all cat lovers! This is the book for you! Join NoFuzzball, the queen, as she lords over her royal subjects. Hilarious text paired with adorable illustrations make this a must read.
Meet NoFuzzball...no, wait...meet Queen NoFuzzball. Sounds like a strange name, right? 𝘕𝘰 𝘍𝘶𝘻𝘻𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭 is set to release on 8/4/20. @scholasticinc presents the furry, black Fuzzball, queen of her loving and loyal subjects...her human family. They give her daily massages and presents and all the attention a queen requires. Until they go away on vacation. Fuzzball is confused and wonders why her subjects would abandon their queen. She decided to get the house ready for their return except in Fuzzball’s Brian, making the house look tidy is the complete opposite of what she thinks tidy should look like. Not only that but her human family is going to return with something more than souvenirs from their trip. Isabella Kung’s (@isabellakung) debut is perfect for PreK to age 3. My two year old especially loves the front and back covers with Fuzzball in her various states of queendom. #bookstagram #scholastic #booklover #book #bookmark #booknerd #bookpride #books #booksofinstagram #scholasticbookclubs #reading #read #readingtime📖 #kidsbooks #kidsbookstagram #cats

I don't care that this is a children's book, it is a MASTERPIECE and I am NOT joking!!!! If you're a cat lover (like me), by all means, acquire this book. Read it. Cherish it. It's absolutely perfect.
Ahhhhh~ the Queendom (your house) that can only be ruled be the best (your house cat)! NO FUZZBALL! is filled with humor and irony as the Queen illuminated life in her Queendom as only a cat can. If you have ever spent time around a cat or had a cat rule your roost, then you already know we humans are but bit players in their fabulous feline lives! And no picture book has captured that better than Isabella Kung's entertaining tour of Fuzzball's life and her subjects! A must read! The illustrations bring such warmth and humor to this super fun story!
I'm not sure I can handle the aloof cuteness of Queen NoFuzzball, and I'm not typically a cat person. This book is perfect for fans of Marla Frazee's BOSS BABY. The tone is very similar, and kids will enjoy noticing the juxtaposition between what Queen NoFuzzball says, and what's happening in the illustrations. (Note: You don't even want to know what "redecorating" looks like.) This adorable read will stand up to multiple rereadings. It's a delight from start to finish.
No Fuzzball is a hilarious unreliable narrator—ahem, queen—whose subjects "scream my name wherever they go . . . NO FUZZBALL!" Cat owners will agree that author/illustrator Isabella Kung has captured the essence of felines everywhere. My son and I laughed out loud at No Fuzzball's antics and attitude, captured with sweetness. A must-buy for cat families.
Isabella Kung's adorable debut pb NO FUZZBALL! is a hilarious take on a queen kitty and her queendom, how she wrecks havoc and destroys everything, all while being completely oblivious. It's the perfect book family read aloud for cat lovers, or anyone who's familiar with cat life. I love the beautiful watercolor illustrations and the playful expressions of Fuzzball, along with the all too familiar destructive scenes that play out when a cat lives in your home. Cats are wonderful companions, and Isabella has so accurately depicted the joy, and drama, that unfolds when you love a cat.
Regardless of how you feel about cats, you’ll love No Fuzzball, a clever picture book that celebrates the independence and confidence of felines. No Fuzzball is queen of the castle and makes sure her humans know it. The illustrations are vibrant and charming. You’ll be cheering for No Fuzzball too!
A laugh-aloud read-aloud with a charming non-reliable narrator, NO FUZZBALL is the perfect picture book for any kids who love cats! The main character, a fluffy housecat, explains how she is queen and graces her subjects (her family) with gifts (mice), cozy nap spots (torn up pillows), and opportunities to spend time with her (where is her personal masseuse?). With its cozy bright illustrations and cute-as-a-button main character, this book is sure to be a family favorite!
