He felt betrayed by the MC over his fathers death, so he left and half of the brothers went with him. Which hurt the MC ,because they are in the middle of a really bad war with a rival MC. He went and joined the Grey Reapers,which was founded by the brother of the Black Reapers president.
She was happy just to have a job that she didn’t get shot at every night. When his new MC came in to have a memorial party for his dad, they were both happy to see a familiar face.
Eventually, he forgives his old MC for his fathers death and is finally starting to mature. She also forgives her father for the past, and starts to build a future relationship with him.
Together along with the Reapers, both black and grey, they can over come anything that is thrown at them.

This book is a little tense. Phoenix has to deal with his emotions about his father's, Red Raven, death. He has fiercely claimed his father's innocence of being a club rat. He is torn in two different ways. His heart holds nothing but love for his dad but his mind is showing him the truth. He struggles between the two truths as he know them. He replays his knowledge over and over until he is devastated. During this his heart is being pulled in another direction for Jess. When the smokes clears, Phoenix finally rises from the ashes.

Complex characters in this MC. Phoenix is the catalyst for change but he doesn't want to be. Jess is floating away in nothingness, never getting anywhere. Put it all together with the external stresses of a dissolving MC and you've got a powder keg waiting to explode. The road is twisting and turning and I'm definitely up for a ride.

Phoenix is handsome, hardcore, and will do anything for his club. The characters are interesting, it is action packed and drama filled, there is retribution, killing, love, and romance. A lot of feelings abound in this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.

Wow Trent Book 5 was a Hell of a Ride so intense, so emotional. What a Page Turner I could not stop reading! Everything comes together in this book. I recommend this series to all that love a good story and great characters. Can’t wait for the next . Love this series ....

WOW!!! Phoenix is my new favorite! Sometimes I wanted to reach into the book and slap some sense into him and other times I just wanted to hold him and cry. Wonderfully written! Can't wait for the next one!!

I'm not sure what it is but I never feel the couples have much chemistry especially Pheonix and Jess. I didn't feel their connection.
But I will say I enjoyed the book in sense we know who's the rat. This is an emotional book because there is death of a main member and was really sad.
