About time!

The world of nanotechnology is both fascinating and frightening; this story examines what could happen if it falls in the wrong hands. Of all people, it happens to Brita, Percy's on-again, off-again honey and detective extraordinaire. She has lost her memory of a certain night when fellow police had died, and the working theory is that she killed them. Of course, the Honeybun clan doesn't believe that for a minute, and they go into full Honeybun protective mode, and they are a frightening bunch to cross, as the bad guys soon learn. The fight is on, not only to stop the killings and clear Brita's name, but also to give Percy and Brita their HEA.

As with all of her books, Ms. Cheever scores high in plot, characters, pace, and storytelling. I highly recommend both this book and this series. If you're a fan of mystery with a strong dose of romance, then I suggest you give this series a chance.

Frightening! My heart is still pounding!

Finally focusing on Britta and Percy, a loyal reader of this series knows the pattern and isn't surprised to be reading about the off and on relationship once again, knowing that, by the end of the book, the two would somehow wind up goofy for each other and finally in love out in the open for all to see...but then, we ARE dealing with Sam Cheever here...and NOTHING she writes is cookie cutter!!!!

This book in the Honeybun series take more unexpected turns and loops than a rollercoaster. Scary turns in the realms of mind control, anger issues and the strongest weapon known to man..the power of love.

This storyline was great...intense at times, playing in my own emotions. I'm ready for the next book, but with reservations. It will be the last book in the series for now, and I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Honeybuns!

This was an exciting mystery with lots twists and turns. I wish I could give it a 4 star but I can't because of Brita. I understand being strong and independent but she was ridiculous in her treatment of Percy and carried it a bit too far. Everyone needs back up a times but she never accepted that. So while I enjoyed Percy, the brothers and their wife as well as the story, I did not enjoy Brita.

Come on Sam Cheever, this story was wild and I could not figure out who was the bad guys, now you went really wild with some one messing with people's brain, especially in Britas who is part of the Honeybun clan, you know that Honeybun brothers were not going for that, it was touching to read what pain she was going through, I was so happy to read Percy and Brita back together again, like the others books this one was good too, thanks , one more to go

Well, mundane and percy

They finally have an ending to their story (not spoiling things here). It was a little ... Ok, a lot strange plot. Author seems to go further and further into weirdness, not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not my usual cup of tea.

Great read!

What a thriller! Not quite as much fun in this book as in previous books of this series, not as much romance, but this one is thrilling and non stop action!

The Honeybuns in this series are a bunch of brothers who are each unique, but who are all strong, protective and chivalrous. Since the first book in the series we knew Percy and Brita, and they have been important parts of all the stories. She is a cop, he is a lawyer. She doesn't want Percy's chivalry, his protection, because she seems to take it that he doesn't consider she is able to take care of herself and others. Some time back in the series, Percy offended Brita with his he-man stuff, and they broke up. He never accepted it, has done everything he could to get back together, but it hasn't worked. She is very competent and self-reliant, with mad detective skills, and she can't take that he is always trying to protect her. Strangely enough, she has still been an integral part of the family anyway, very involved in the story as each Honeybun brother has found his honey and rescued her from whatever nasty situation she was involved in. To the Honeybun family, Brita is still Percy's honey, still part of the family.
This time, Brita is the one who needs help. She walked in on the aftermath of a murder, then was attacked and lost her memory of who she was. She runs, knowing something is wrong, but Percy finds her and the family closes around her to help. Even without her memories, she is not one to let these men take the lead, but ultimately, she has to accept their help.
Without telling too much more of the story, there is a lot of action, investigation, there are evil scientist, a horrible plot, fighting against hopeless odds, and a happy ending.
I loved the characters, each brother is so different, but Percy is special. The other honeys only show up in the story just a little bit, and I wish we saw them interact with their Honeybun heroes more. Brita is a great character, really smart and strong. I never really understood her extreme negative reaction to being taken care of, which is central to this plot. Buy, given that is her reaction to he-man Percy, her behavior flows well.
I really enjoyed this story.
I received and ARC copy of this book and this is an honest review

Sam Cheever has written a wonderful exciting series covering the Honeybun brothers, and this book is the last of the of the Honeybun series and I am so very sad to see this series come to an end.
This story covers Percy Honeybun (a clever lawyer) and his very stubborn lady (Brita, who has a strong personality and has a extremely negative reaction to being taken care of) Brita is a cop suffering from amnesia and accused of murdering four cops at the Police Station after disappearing from the wedding between Alastair Honeybun and the love of his life, Angie. This story has drama, suspense, intrigue, mystery, government sanctioned experiments, experimental drugs, derange killers and a tender, loving erotic scene.
I found this series of the Honeybun brothers absolutely fantastic and in each of the stories the different brothers are written as chivalrous, protective and strong yet not perfect, and in the face of adversity, the Honeybun brothers always stand together and help each other. I would definitely recommend this book (and all the others books in this series) to people that like to read a exciting mystery/suspense romance with a HEA.

Great Addition to the Honeybun Heat Series

Brita and Percy have danced around a permanent relationship for years - both strong willed and independent and Definitely set in their ways. Brita lands in a jam with her job and the Honeybun clan (ESPECIALLY PERCY) rallies to aid her (in ways only the Honeybuns can do). Through it all Percy is right by her side. Will Brita finally give in to her deep feelings for Percy? Will the two of them find the loving relationships they both want but have been too stubborn to give into?

This is a well-written suspenseful funny, sexy, romance book that is a great read. But with the Honeybun clan would you really expect anything less? 2 Thumbs Up for another great Sam Cheever Book!

Percy and Brita have struggled against their own chemistry and desires while helping the Honeybun brothers and their honeys. We have watched them through each of the other stories. They finally have their story to combat their stubbornness. Their story is full of passion and mystery and an extra dose of action. How will Percy and Brita cope when Brita is at the center of the investigation? A great end to the initial Honeybun brother stories. Worth the wait for their story.

I have loved this series from the first book and I'm so upset that the Honeybun Heat series is now complete. The suspense in this story was fantastic. I could not put this book down. I needed to know wat happened to Percy and Brita since we have followed their relationship through many books. Loved it!
