Dauntless Breeze

Rate this book
Breeze’s friend and mentor acquires a device that grants him access to the NSA database. Captain Fred hires Breeze to deliver copies of the device, a key of sorts, to his cohorts. Fred gets taken away in handcuffs and Breeze is left holding the last remaining key. The device could be used to win Fred’s freedom, but Breeze is no tech wizard. Computers are not his area of expertise. Meanwhile, someone is tracking him as he tries to figure things out. Possessing the key makes him a target.

Love this series

I absolutely love this series. I would never respond disrespectfully about a fictitious character to an author. Everyone seems to have strong opinions about the state of our world today. It saddens me that people feel it's their right to impose their opinions on anybody.
You have given me much food for thought. We are not Trump supporters. We think he is a very self centered and self serving man. In addition to being disgusting in his hate for anything he doesn't happen to agree with. As Breeze says: karma is a bitch".
We have been conscious of the warnings surrounding Covid. We are Floridians for the past 25 years and both my husband and I just retired this summer. We were hoping to travel a bit, but remain home waiting for our country to at least gain back a bit more stability.
I'd recommend this series to all my friends. I find it interesting that we are familiar with all of the SW Florida locations that Breeze travels through as we live in St. Pete. It's a very enlightening view from the perspective of a live aboard boat bum. We can see the romance in his relationships with his boats and the ocean. Lots of good fishing advice too. I
I also love the dynamic between Breeze and Marie and with her Mom. I can also see how he was befriended by Captain Fred. By being Breeze, just Breeze. Captain Fred sees the real Breeze. Fred acknowledges that Breeze is a real "cowboy" that won't allow himself or those he considers his close friends to be bullied or used by anyone. But Fred is successful in reigning Breeze in and even teaching him to be more careful in his endeavors. Fred bails him out when and where he can, which proves to cement their relationship further. Fred has also compensated Breeze so well that he is free to live his life on his own terms. For that Breeze is forever grateful and indebted to Fred. It's a very interesting relationship.
I can't wait to read the next installment to see where it takes Breeze and Marie. Hopefully, they can rest up, enjoy each other fully, and live to fight another day. Hopefully, they cross paths with Captain Fred in the future.
Thank you for many hours of enjoyment during this troubled time

Live & let live

What a tangled web we weave, I loved reading about current
affairs as fiction. ( I also wish some of it actually was fiction).
I enjoyed this entire series, & almost feel like Breeze & Company are part of my family.
I have been to many of the places mentioned so it does begin to feel real. This is the longest series I've ever read & it held my interest throughout, I've even talked about these books with my husband, which I never do. Perfect read for this pandemic, as none of us have ever dealt with this situation before. I'm of the live & let live persuasion, so I am appalled with the political snafu in our country. Give this series a read, I found it to be well worth the time.

You hit the nail on the head!!

There absolutely is a deep state. They are destroying America. Leftist and liberals socialist and Marxist. Being woke and using a speech is undermining our civil rights and privileges. Pay no attention too bad reviews. Everything you talked about in the book is happening. They will run God out of America along with all the good things that we hold true to create the New World Order.!! Screw them stand up for America silent voice in the silent majority she heard whether they like it or not

Another Great Read!

Ed Robinson's books are addictive, so be warned. His characters are believable and very human. You will not be confronted with any ridiculous situations from which Breeze miraculously, and (literally) unbelievably escapes. No convoluted plots that finally lose credibility. Just great yarns told by a great raconteur with enough depth to not insult your intelligence.
I'm moving on to the next story, but in a quandary as I don't know what I will do when there are no more to read immediately..maybe I'll just have to start over.

The truth hurts

I wasn't surprised to hear that some snowflakes got their panties all in a wad over hearing the truth about Trump and DeSantis. Truth that this great country is more divided than prior to The War of Northern Aggression.
I'm wholeheartedly on the side of this fine author. And no, were not related. Obama, Biden, Soros are corrupt beyond belief, but these same nuts heap high praise on alk 3 of them.
Doesn't really matter if they would have a massive great awakening, its too late, this country is lost.

I recommend the whole Breeze series

It is a blast to read something where the hero has my exact jaded view of our current state of affairs in this country. For those who are offended, good. Now you know how we feel watching one sided news. For the people who would like the federal government to provide basic needs, move to an Indian reservation for little while and tell me how you like it!

Pertinent to the world today

Meade Breeze is what my veteran spouse calls a “mans man”, he’s not afraid to stand up for what he believes in & take care of business. He’s not PC, he’s rough & tumble & he says what he thinks is right. He’s a character in a series folks...attacking his creator in mho is just wrong. Attacking his livelihood b/c you don’t agree with his beliefs shows more about your character than anything else.

Tell it like it is.

Having read all of your books right up to this one. I agree with your perspective and realize you thoughts are your own. I plan to continue to read your books and enjoy your wit, humor and devious mind. Don't listen to the idiots that can't see the forest for the trees. Their minds have been corrupted by the social media and biased news. Believe what you personally witness, the rest is BS.

Continued Quality

I have enjoyed the adventures that Breeze has gone on. This book maintains the same quality of storytelling and thankfully presentation. I hope the author keeps the tale going despite the negativity. Seeing the current situation presented with balance was enjoyable.

Breeze ends up on the run again!

Fred, the support team behind Breeze , has been taken out of the picture by the feds. Due to their entanglements, friendship and Breezes loyalty too Fred, he and Marie are somewhere off on the high seas hiding out in the Caribbean a new boat. More adventures to come!

I have read ALL of the Breeze books. I enjoyed them all except the latest. I think the author is just churning them out without much thought. The plot was thin and uninteresting. I also don’t appreciate the authors using his books and character’s to expound his personal political views. I’m done. Bill Dimon

A daunting plot

Breeze is getting a very complicated life and a lot of baggage! His travels around the eastern states is very confusing about how he hopes to elude people following him. This story seems to go in circles and I hope Mr. Robinson can resolve some of them in the next tale!

Let the Breeze flow free

I saw the negative reviews on the previous book & they were just angry souls who can’t handle differing opinions. Breeze is a Libertarian in it’s purest form. He loves America, doesn’t trust the federal government, doesn’t care about anyone’s race, religion or lifestyle choices. Long live liberty. Long live freedom. Long live Breeze.

The end of Breeze?

I would say this was the best of this series. I have enjoyed your characters and hate to see this end. Political issues are too much of a focus right now and anyone that can't handle a book with them in is only interested in starting something. Keep on writing the way you have been and I'll keep reading.

Another good one!

Won't give away the plot but change is in the air. Readers should enjoy Breeze for who he is and how he tries to stand by his beliefs... and nothing else. Enjoy the adventure and Breeze's unique view of life and unique way of taking on life - just like we have enjoyed all the previous Breeze adventures. Mostly :)

This was an unusual interesting read

I enjoyed this book because it defined Breeze. It showed who he was, his capabilities, his stance on the issues of today, plus his need to protect his loved ones but on his terms. I look forward to meeting the new Captain Fred and the continuation of the journey of Breeze.

Good book and good thoughts

I thought your evaluation of the state of affairs in this country were spot on. I do believe now that we are dealing with lifelong political bs that won’t go away. People have to realize that most stuff in the social media is only someone’s opinion and probably not factual, but hey, no one ever said people are very smart!GMZ

Great book. I hope it isn't the last.

A fictional character is just that - fictional. Not true. Some people need to get a life. I hope this isn't really the end of the breeze character.

Excellent Read

Loved this book as I love all of his books. I objected to the politics in Reckless Breeze but in Dauntless I thought Ed was more than fair. I will continue to look forward to Breezes further adventures

Long Live Breeze

Breeze stumbled into real trouble this time just by his choice to help Captain Fred. Breeze is a man of old Florida charm with all his barnacles firmly in place. He makes no apologies, lives life on his own terms. Excellent read, phenomenal series.

Awesome adventure!

I didn't predict that ending! Ed, you have to write faster - it's not nice to your loyal readers to leave us hanging! Seriously though, if you haven't read all of the Breeze books, start at the beginning and read them all - it's a wild ride!

Keeps you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover. The comments on the current plight of our country are spot on, and provide food for thought for even the casual reader. Can't wait for the next episode!
