I'm very impressed with the way Pathfinder writes its adventure paths. The one thing I would suggest is that they put an age rating on their books. I bought this thinking I could run it for my son but the topics discussed are way above his age level.
This book is a solid start to an AP. It sets the tone, sets up some solid and varied adventures, and offers some interesting world details.
Pros: * Tells you in advance who will be showing up in later books, so you know to properly introduce them. * Has fun encounters that offer multiple solutions. * A festival is a fun backdrop!
Cons: * There's one section where no maps are given for fights. Like... one map would have been nice to have. * The title is a spoiler!

Love it. There's a ton of good content here. Great variety of encounters. Lots of options to give players freedom. The theme is flexible if you have issues with it, and Paizo put out some helpful toolbox stuff to get around problem areas.
This whole adventure path is so close to my heart, there are flaws yes but it was really fun to play and run and I will always remember it fondly, as fucked up as it is BFJDJDJSJS
