What a ride! The book tells us much more about Akio than I expected, and still gives us plenty of action. We learn more about Eve & Yoko as well, making all of the characters more interesting and real people who we grow to enjoy reading about.

The addition of humor, along with a strong sense of honor permeates their thoughts and actions. This makes them all people who we want to know as we begin to anticipate their future snarky thoughts & comments that add to the enjoyment of the story.

We do get a brief mention of TH Walton & Char, so I hope we see more of Akio’s interactions with them in future books!

My first review

Having read all three sequentially is unusual for me. I usually read out of sequence due to availability issues. The action was fast-paced and the weapons usage was great. Having a background in martial arts and many years of watching the Military Channel it was rewarding to see ancient hand weapons to modern firearms and futuristic weapons (pucks, pods,Black Eagles and Eve) used throughout three stories. Now for the emotional aspect, you guys have put yourselves on my short list of authors who can make my allergies act up so bad that my eyes water and my throat gets so dry O cannot swallow. As a card carrying old school man who is six foot one tall and two hundred twenty five pounds I refuse to admit I cried when Kenjii died. I loved the humorous interplay between the characters and putting Mr. Miyagi in the Sims was only surpassed by the resetting the limits for Seki's time in the sims.Thank you to the authors and please continue telling Akio's story.

I need a moment...or a few months!

Holy moly, what a fantastic end to this trilogy...or is it? So many smiles, laughs and then tears have been wrung from me while reading this. As a huge fan of Akio and his Elite from when they forced joined BA, I have been curious about all of them. Not to be a demanding child or anything, but I want more! I want to know what Akio was doing when TH and Char would message him and he would have them hold. I want backstory to how the elite were trapped. I want to see Michael's return through Akio's eyes. I even want to follow him to space and reading the details of his spy exploits rather than just hear the end results. I also want all of that for Yuko and Eve! Not to be demanding or anything Mr. Tillman lol. Mr. Anderle did an amazing job bringing Akio to life and was gracious to let you give him breath and a more complete personality, what a gift you have both given us readers!

Yes! Yes! I am so glad there will be additional books in the series.Yes! Yes! I am so glad they will be at additional books in the series that’s how good it is.

I love this book, and the series, I loved it so much I bought all three even though I have A Kindle unlimited subscription. Akio and Company are likable characters, you want to see how they develop and how they change during the years they separated from their queen. The action of this book was fast paced, very enjoyable and a little bit sad. I read over 200 books A year, I am telling you to read this book and this series. If you’ve never read a TKG book you will still enjoy this series. And it can be a starter so you can go back and read the entire TKG series. I am definitely not a fan boy as far as books are concerned I have given books as low as a three. But this series was great you will not be disappointed if you read it. Go ahead try it what are you got to lose.

Loved!

Tillman brought Akio, Yuko and “young” Eve to life masterfully. Now I can’t wait to read more! So many new characters were developed that I’m hopeful we’ll see more of them - Horst and Abel especially. I’ll have to reread Michael’s and Terry’s journeys just to get additional fixes of the Akio of back then again. Knowing his story will add so much more depth to the rereads. And then of course, I’ll switch back to Anderle’s latest antics with the newest batch of Rangers. Will be pre-ordering as soon as the the Akio’s series is announced.

Surely I’m not the only one who rereads different portions of the series to find those little tidbits you missed in the first (and second) reads? 🤓

Thank you

Thank you for giving new life to Akio, Yuko and Eve in this first trilogy. I have always liked these characters when they made appearances in the other books and added their brand of adventure and humor to the mix especially when they teamed up with Tabitha. I enjoyed the time spent with Kenjii and his hopes of redemption, love of friends and Akio,

I am looking forward to more on how Akio, Yuko, Eve and the rest of the characters continue to battle the Clan and bring about the reunion of Akio's brothers stuck in their concrete tomb. Don't take too long.

Abel & Takumi

Abel is one of my fav AIs yet! (At least within the KGU) Takumi is a close second, but a bit quicker thinking & feeling the World around him. Shows the author's skill that the AIs are my favorite "people"!

Seriously, I adore this trilogy & cannot wait for the next trilogy to appear! (Charles, I know you have a different FT job so I'm trying to be patient) I need more Eve, Yuko, Akio, the AIs, Horst & Koda, & Asai & Seki. Add in Kume Island for the beautiful scenery & this is my new favorite series. (Way to go Charles - you wrote a winner!)

Awesome book!

What a sad ending to the first trilogy of books. The book was still awesome though and actually ends with some happy parts. Lots and lots of action in this one. You get to see the full power and might of those Bethany Anne left behind. I am sooo thrilled that there will be three more books! I, for one, would like to read about Bethany leaves's return from Akio and company's perspectives. Keep churning out the awesome stories, guys!

Beyond Imagination

Such an amazing series. Books 2 & 3 just were behind compare. So much around Akio's background has been tantalizingly eluded to in other Kurthian novels previously but this tells a strong and powerful story of an amazing character. This is a must read for anyone that lives this universe especially about learning more about Akio but also about Yuko and Eve. All I can say is I sincerely hope that more is on the way!!!!

Heartfelt

I have loved Akio since the beginning. This third in the trilogy was rendingly emotional. To find your love, the person who is your soul, and to help them grow touches anyone with even the hardest heart. Changes and new life gives a lift, loss is even harder.Thank you for letting me get to know Akio and Yuko better.

CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE!!

Truly loved these books! I need your address so I can gather the mob with the forms and fired. Michael's too if you have it!! Though I'm sure Michael is used to the mob rioting by now!! Looking forward to more from you, whether it be continuing with Akio or future endeavors.

Why?

Spoilers——
I couldn’t stop until I reached the end.

Why would you bring akio back to life only to destroy him again.... it was a great story arc and I knew the whole time that it had to end that way... but I kept the hope that the “twist” would be a happy ending.. but noooooooo.

Great trilogy

Because Akio has lived through this terrible loss I can't wait to see how you and Michael resurrect Kenji. That being said, I truly love the characters you all have developed. Please continue to work your plan and please, please plan more writing work. If you write it, readers will enjoy the work you have invested. Thank you!

Great ending(?)!

Again, just a really good story. Well written and I love the action scenes, they are wonderfully vicious! Characters like these, when they're written so that you worry about how a fight will turn out, or you can see the disgustingly filthy bad guy and you hope that he dies slowly and painfully, they make a book for me. I'm a visual person in that I have a movie rolling in my head along with the books, and I've had a great "movie" experience with 'Retribution'. Hope you enjoy it too.

Hated the ending.

I love this book and the telling of Akio's time before he became a vampire was something I had longed for. My wife has not read it yet but knows most of the story because I cried. When she heard me crying she asked me why so I summed up the 3 books for her and now it's her turn to read these stories and cry herself. I'm somewhat of a romantic person and if I've been even close to a similar situation, I identify with it and get lost. Fortunately there are more books to read.

More Akio!

No,really. We need more Akio. Retribution was a great addition to Akio's story, but the entire Revelations trilogy has made me love its characters even more than i did before.
It's been check of a ride and i can't wait to see more from one of my favorite groups in the TQB universe.
And full disclosure- I love the AIs as much as the rest of the crew.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Bittersweet, yet awesome!

I think every reader knew how this was going to have to end (I won’t spoil it), but it still hurt. That being said, what an amazing ride! I’m so excited to see where the next three Akio books will take us. I absolutely love getting back story about some of the “ancillary” characters in the KGU. I hope the author knew what he was getting into when he agreed to write in this universe!

Triumph and tragedy

The last story in this trilogy is full of emotions: joy, laughter, determination, sadness, deep pain, and hope. Akio’s story needed to be told, and it has been well told. It has been an adventure, and I hope we see more of Akko and his team from before he rejoins the Queen Bitch.

Finally Akio

The quite Bitch, the one who stayed behind. Yes, someone took up the gauntlet and started telling his story. Told it in a way to make you wish you knew this honorable warrior with a heart of gold.

Fantastic trilogy.

Wow! Great wrap up! Sucks to lose a character but understand it has to happen occasionally. Charles has done a bang up job of continuing and expanding a known and loved character and I can't help but be impressed . Here's to waiting for the next round!!

Loved this story

Well written story. This is one of those, do not do it stories where you know the character will do it any way because it is just who they are. Hero come in all shapes and sizes, just as the bad guys do. Good guys do win but .......

The game has become deadly

Akio was never a happy character and now the reason is revealed. The early days in Japan and the rebirth of TQB wealth and power there is revealed. No I won’t reveal the story, you will have to read it yourself. But it’s a great read.

I wish he could have been saved.

Now we know why Kenjii wasn't there when Bethany returns but I still have no clue about this Yuko and Kelly. It is time for a re-read of when TQB left, the Nomad and return of Michael. Which is why TQB returns.

Kick Ass

It was great to read a series on Akio, I have enjoyed this character in other series and was glad to see a series dedicated to him. I could read another 100or so books on this group of characters. So, um you guys better get to work. Very enjoyable read.
