My friends all think I'm crazy because I always have a "to do" list. This first book has given me validation! To Do lists are a good thing. The book on Overthinking was written for me. I have a problem with overthinking everything. I can't shut off my brain at night. The chapter about scheduling a "thinking time" was especially helpful for me. I highly recommend these books.
I gave this four book set five stars, however, I wish I could've given more. I've been in Cognitive Therapy for years and between my various breakthroughs with my therapists and books like this, I'm grasping a deeper understanding of how to center my feelings in daily life. Learning that I don't necessarily have to be emotional or logical all the time helps me. I now understand further that I can think with an understanding of both ideals and not be made to select one over the other.
The book is a great tool for self-discipline and a guide for a stoic life. The author describes how theses practices can help ease anxiety and bring happiness to your life.
I, like many people suffer from a lack of control at times. Typically when it comes to my diet and exercise. These books have helped me to understand why I sometimes lack self discipline and how to overcome it.
