I love this book and I'll give three reasons why: 1. It is written in a conversational tone, you can read it in one sitting if you keep the pens and highlighters away :-) 2. Like it says, the authors offer 101 insights on leadership. This means that not all can apply to you at the same time, so you have an array of insights to learn from and grow into. This makes this the kind of book you keep in your library and grow with. 3. The snippets of quotes and stories from other seasoned leaders makes this practical and something to relate to.
This book was an extraordinary and layered perspective on the essential building blocks of sound leadership. As a former military officer, I can say that I would have enjoyed a book like this years ago. Given the many nuances to one's style and form of leadership, this book soberly attends to such differences within and across humanity. The authors' inclusion of quotes from other respected leaders and figures in history add to the brilliance of this composition. I highly recommend this book for anyone who aspires to make a difference with their life.
This is 101 chapters, each of which is two pages long - making it an easy read during a break at work or first thing in the morning.
Each chapter begins and ends with a quote, and generally includes a diagram and a question to consider. The clipart doesn't add value and it's too bad it was included.
