And How to Fight Back is a wake-up call to everyone about the tactics being used by governments to restrict the public's use of cash and to abuse the laws for its own purposes.

Powerful forces are threatening your financial freedom. All over the world, including in the United States of America, governments, certain academics, banks and non-governmental organizations (nonprofits) are working in a coordinated way to stop you from using cash. They want you to be afraid to have more than a few dollars cash on your person, in your home, or in your car.

The author presents an interesting view on the importance of cash, especially in the context of digitalization and financialization of the economy and society.
The good thing in the book is that it emphasizes the importance of protecting your privacy, which is becoming an increasingly difficult task in today's world.

How much control on cash by the Government is tolerable? What will happen if all currency is withdrawn, with electronic bank accounts and transfers the only option, and interest rates are turned negative by the powers to be (and with all cash withdrawn, no one is able to withdraw all of their money from the bank - thus, forced to tolerate negative interest rates)?
Who is to monitor and control the excesses of the Government over citizen's daily lives and livelyhoods, including the right to earn an honest living? Is over governance possible?
These, and many such questions, are argued in this excellent book with some mind opening and thought provoking discussion. Highly recommended.

This is a good intro into what has happened with laws and cash. Having previously worked in the banking industry I can confirm about certain transactions being reported to the government.

Good quick read.

A cute text, only some of the basics are messed up, like all "your cash" are the exact same government's monopoly money.

A good book for tax cheats, it’s full of misinformation, innuendos, and downright lies.
Anyone who thinks this garbage is good, needs their head examined!
