The Afterlands Convergence Trilogy, is a story set 14,000 years from now, at the close of the next ice age, when a small group of outcasts will decide the fate of a world endangered by long lost technologies melting from the ice. Ice Watch, Book 1, follows a team of relic hunters searching for ancient technologies in a race to advance a perilous industrial resurgence. But the path ahead offers a chance at something far more significant; a lasting future.
This was an engaging read with a unique premise, 1400 years following an ice age upon the modern world. Beyond some typos and no justified margins (making the paragraphs look ragged and less professional), the pacing and storyline were good. The gadgets, technology, and weapons described were intriguing. The ending cut off in mid-action, which I’m sure leads into the next book, but it felt unfinished. Best if read as the whole trilogy.
