Sky Adler isn't looking for a man. She's happy being Gerri Wilder's newest assistant and excited she's on a mission to scope out a new client. She did not expect the town residents to treat her like she committed a crime and for the client to be hot enough to melt the ozone. She definitely needs a cold shower, but she's a professional, she can handle it. Maybe. Hopefully.
Damien Grimes isn't looking for a mate and has worked damn hard for the evil image he puts out. But when he meets Sky, that all changes. The very image of a playboy jerk is now what's keeping his mate from wanting to give him a chance. He needs a small miracle, urgently, if he ever wants to get her out of her clothes and into his bed. And he really really wants that.
It's hard for Sky to not judge Damien based on her research, but she's trying. Things are bumpy, but headed in the right direction when trouble comes calling and Sky needs saving. She has to allow Damien to be her hero and stop denying the love she knows she feels for him, or risk going home with her heart broken.
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Don’t believe everything you read. Damien Grimes is vilified by the press. They say he’s a rich guy who gets what he wants. Sky Adler has had bad luck with men and isn’t going to fall for a pretty face and hot bod. When she’s sent by Paranormal Dating Agency guru Gerri Wilder to scope out Damien Sky should have known something was up. She certainly wasn’t prepared for the truth. I loved this steamy story. The hot guy had to work to impress the smart woman and boy was it worth it. Break out the ice cause this one will make you sweat.
In the eye of the beholder Gerri Wilder is up to her usual shenanigans with this matched set. It took a while to uncover the truth, but underneath all of the smoke is a mate to make any woman proud to call her own. I was a little worried at first since Damien, and his friends, seemed to perpetuate the myth, but I guess that’s a panther for you. Unconcerned with what anyone thinks, well until they find that special lady. I love how the author turned the story around and brought the truth out, and the way she kept the mystery going right until the last page. I enjoyed the characters and just the small town feel in general. This book was a fantastic read and fit perfectly with the rest of the PDA collection. I am looking forward to reading all about Gerri’s next successful pairing whenever it comes out.
I've been reading Milly Taiden's PDA's series from the moment the 1st book was published and I've enjoyed every book eversince. This book is no exception. As usual we have instalove, hot scorching sexy times and growly Alpha! This is a quick and easy read, I would have love more backstory but that's about all the negative that I can say about this book.
I received an advance copy, however the views above are all my own. Thanks!
Sky and damien 2 characters destined to be mates I enjoyed the interaction between the characters the flow of the story plot was entertaining to read great love scene
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved this story of finding the truth behind what you think. Damien and Sky are not what you would expect. Gerri maybe should hire a male assistant he may last longer.
Oh my, when you start reading this book. You will think that had Damien is a playboy and a bad person. But you start reading and falling in love with him. You have love, love and little drama. Skye that's all men are jerk. Great book
A Purrfectly Delicious Tale from the Queen of Paranormal Matchmaking...
Let's face it, Milly Taiden never really disappoints. Whether it's werebears or fairies, dragons or aliens, she always writes a story that melts hearts and makes tummies tingle. Almost everything she writes is beautifully plotted and full of unique, wild story landscapes that are always a fun, sexy ride. However, out of all the stories Taiden writes, none are above her Paranormal Dating Agency (PDA) book series! The PDA story world is by far the best of the bunch, all packed with quirky, mesmerizing characters who embark on out of this world action packed, self discovery adventures that lead them to their fated mates.
This installment, "Visible Panther Line", is Taiden’s twenty-seventh addition to her PDA universe. And is yet another wonderful example of shifter matchmaker extraordinaire, Gerri Wilder, at her very best!
Here, Taiden's matchmaking queen takes us on a journey with Damien and Sky. Damien being a high profile business mogul infamous for his villainous, womanizing, and underhanded ways. A man hounded by the press, who write article after article outlining his overbearing, corrupt ways. And Sky, the latest in a long line of Gerri's personal assistants, tasked with finding out for Gerri whether the real Damien actually is what the tabloids report, or something more. A woman who, because of a string of trust breaking bad relationships with lying, cheating, dodgy men, forms an opinion before the truth is actually revealed.
What follows is an angsty, suspenseful story of mystery shrouded in mistrust surrounded by lies, and sprinkled with a dash of one overbearing mother. It is a lovely, albeit simple, and a bit predictable story about learning to trust again after a lifetime of being taken advantage of in relationships. And a tale about the proverbial "not judging a book by its cover" mantra. It is another beautifully languid story that takes its time, simmering you for a long bit in the swirling uncertainty of Damien and his town. A plot that keeps you on edge, waiting and wanting until almost the very end.
And while this one is not as fast paced and steamy as Taiden's typical PDA installments, it is well worth the read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story here, and personally didn't mind the overall theme of it. For many PDA fans used to the lustier, insta-everything fare, this one might test your patience a bit as it is more straight laced and serious, containing far fewer of the super-charged sexy scenes many of the previous PDA installments contained. However, I promise it remains true the the PDA story world overall, and remains a yummy, heartfelt read full of love, sass, and wonderfully compelling characters.
This is an OK shifter romance, but I did have a few issues with it. It features the typical shifter instalove, but I would have liked a little more backstory on the couple. I do always like Gerri Wilder and her matchmaking methods, though.
Damien and Sky were both OK, but I honestly didn't understand why Damien was OK with all the lies that were published about him. He was upset that Sky believed them, but he did nothing to stop them, and even encouraged the people in his town to tell the lies. I actually didn't really blame Sky for believing the lies, and thought Damien should have tried harder to convince her that they were lies. Instead, he just assumed that his mate would believe the best about him -- but everything written about him gave her nothing good to believe.
I also didn't really believe that Sky was in love with Damien. She was definitely in lust, but you don't go from thinking someone is a terrible person to being in love that quickly.
One complaint is that most of Milly's stories are a bit too explicit for me. I like hot sex in romances, but I would prefer it to be a little less descriptive and dirty. I am not a prude, but the really explicit stuff is just not romantic to me. But I will continue to read Milly's writing, as it is entertaining and fun.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Visible Panther Line is the 27th book in the Paranormal Dating Agency (PDA) series. In this book we follow human Sky & panther shifter Damien as they find their way to happily ever after.
Gerri Wilder is The matchmaker to the shifter community. Sky is her newest assistant but she has no idea how long Gerri's assistants usually last. When Gerri asks her to go interview a shifter to see if she wants to take him on as a client, Sky thinks the answer is a foregone conclusion. Everything she's seen on this cat says he's a bad news bad boy. Gerri keeps telling her to have an open mind, but that's tough to do. She knows his type. So what if he's drop dead gorgeous. She's determined to keep her distance. Can she open her mind to really see Damien?
Everyone thinks that Damien is some kind of villain, but as long as his town & friends know different, he's OK. Then his mother goes & screws things up by arranging to find him a mate. So when Gerri Wilder calls & tells him her assistant is set to arrive for his interview, he figures on cutting this off quickly. He knows that everyone in town will do everything they can to scare her off quickly, but he realizes his mistake when he finally sees Sky. Can he change her mind before she leaves for home?
The PDA series is long running & still going strong. While all these books are standalones & can be read in any order, I advise you to start at the beginning. It's so much more fun. As for this book, I connected with the main characters right off. They were both likeable & engaging. The supporting cast was well crafted & brought on an unexpected outright laugh or two. The story line was fun & kept me reading until I'd finished the book. All in all, as far as I'm concerned, it's one you don't want to miss & would be perfect for a quiet evening's read

A wonderful Addition to this series, marvellous characters and storyline
Gerri Wilder has just taken on a new assistant Sky and as her first job she is being sent out to interview a prospective panther shifter for his mate and Gerry is relying on her gathering all the necessary information to help her make the right choice.
Sky has already done quite a bit of reading up on businessman Damien and has found only bad press, he is despised by those in business and the town he has brought back from those that were running it into the ground, stealing from the inhabitants and breeding misery.
As Sky arrives on location she is met by rudeness and obvious dislike and whenever she mentions Damien’s name, they either clam up, tell out and out lies or simply ignore her and the whole issue is really ticking her off. To be honest if it wasn’t for the simply amazing Gerri Wilder and she is trying to show that she is capable of doing her job she would already have left and returned home.
Then suddenly everything seems to change when she sees a man with the most fantastic backside, then she discovers that it belongs to Damien her prospective client and suddenly things seem to looking so much brighter, perhaps these next few days may be a little more agreeable.
Damien cannot believe that Sky has been sent by Gerri Wilder and that his Panther is simply going crazy and he is sure that given half a chance would be winding himself around her legs and purring like a contented kitten.
There is just something about this woman and he is totally blown away by her…… I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
In this newest release in the PDA series we meet Damien Grimes and Sky Adler. Sky has been sent by her new boss, Gerri, to learn what she can about Damien in order to find him a mate like his mother wants. She has read all the articles that have been done on him and now she needs to figure out what is fact and what is fiction. She doesn't expect the townspeople to treat her like she is evil or to be made to feel like she did something wrong just by showing up. And she definitely didn't expect to find the man to be one of the most attractive men she had ever met. Damien isn't looking for a mate and just wants to be left alone. He lets the image that is out of there of him stand because it keeps people at a distance, just the way he likes it. But when he meet's Sky and realizes that the assistant that he doesn't want to deal with is his mate? His reputation has come back to bite him. Now he has to not only show her that he isn't what he is portrayed as but also keep her safe when his past comes back to haunt him.
I really liked this one! Damien is this sweet, stand up man who has been hurt in the past. So while you may think the worst of him, in the end you find out how different from that he really is. Sky has also been hurt in the past but it also made her slightly judgemental in my opinion. That was my only drawback. I felt like she had made a snap judgement without actually having facts, just gossip. But she also doesn't hesitate to admit when she has made a mistake and owns up to it, which I definitely liked. It has the insta-love that usually comes with these books but it also action and some suspense as well.

3.5 stars
I wish there had been a bit more background to the town's story. There was eventually some explanation, but I wish there had been just a bit more. I didn't really like Sky at the beginning. I could understand that given her previous relationship she was a bit jaded, but to outright believe articles about Damien seemed pushing it. Given how many times the news gets stories wrong (and tabloids just completely make things up), I was surprised at how eager she seemed to just outright believe the stories published about Damien. I wasn't surprised that Damien didn't try to counter the stories about him, as long as the people close to him knew the truth, he had no reason to counter the stories officially. I like how close he was with his friends, though Eli really could have treated Sky a bit better (he knew she wasn't a reporter). I liked Eli and Misty as supporting characters, but they almost seemed to take over too much of the story (I either wanted to see more of them, or have them more of a background). Once Sky was willing to see the real Damien, they were good together. The pacing was good (if a bit fast, but to be expected with this series).
Damien's mother was a bit of a strange character. I think we were supposed to be sympathetic to her at the end, but there was nothing earlier in the story to backup the change so it was hard to believe.
*I had an ARC edition of the story, so my review is only on the story and not the editing.
Gerri Wilder's newest assistant is Sky Adler and she is on a mission to scope out a new client. What she didn't expect, is that town residents to treat her like a criminal and the client as a saint. Add to that how hot he is and she seems to permanently need a cold shower. Panther shifter Damien Grimes is not interested in people's opinion of him hence all of the lies in the press about him. He might have the image of a playboy, but that is far from the truth and even worse it is preventing his mate from giving him a chance. He needs a miracle to get her out of her clothes and into his bed. Sky is finding it hard to judge Damien in any way but the research and preconceived impressions she had before she got there. Things start to head in the right direction when trouble comes calling and she has to let Damien save her as well as stop denying the love she is feeling for him - it is that or go home with a broken heart.
I really liked this story. It had a strong woman who was determined to stick to her position and a strong man who did his best to let her see that she had misunderstood and that he is everything she needs and wants. I really liked the way this story was told from the way she thought, believed and assumed, followed by her realisation that it didn't match reality. It felt more like a love story than some of the other books in the series. Well written, it was easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.
I liked the backstory of some of the characters that was provided throughout. It made them more complex and allowed me to have a better connection with them.
I like Sky, even though she has some tendencies in the beginning that were a bit off putting. At first, she refused to judge Damien through anything except her skewed opinion of men with money. I understand that she had some terrible experiences with guys in the past but, she was judging a complete stranger before she even gave him a chance. She was allowing her own biased opinions to lead her, based on what she saw in the media. Which, anyone who uses a bit of the common sense they were born with, would know isn't worth the price of a grain of dirt. The media always exaggerates the story to up their ratings. The more drama the better. Sweet and simple, truthful, is boring and doesn't sale.
Damien is a great character. He seemed a bit arrogant at first, but you can quickly see that it's just a disguise he uses to hide the truth, that he's actually a good guy. Granted he does go out of his way to feed into the negative stories about him, but he has his reasons.
I liked getting to meet some of the townsfolk and Damien's pack/friends/family. They were al interesting and each added a little something to the story.
The ending with his mom was probably the sweetest moment of the story.
I enjoyed this story and I look forward to reading more. Well done to the author.
So this is another PDA (Paranormal Dating Agency) book including Gerri Wilder and another in a long line of a revolving door of assistants. Sky Adler, the hapless human who comes to work for Gerri and is sent off to meet with an unwitting (and in this case, unwilling) client. Damien Grimes, still reeling from the death of his older brother to drugs, made sweeping changes in a small town. This sparks gossip in the news and speculation whether he's a villain or just a jerk. Damien couldn't care less about his public image except that it might mean finding a mate for his panther that much harder. All Sky can see are the reports of multiple baby mamas, replacement of government officials, and a town singing arias to his name. My biggest problem with this book is that the picture they use as the headers is NOT of a panther! As a panther (leopard) lover (1 of my tattoos), it kind of bothers me that it's a tiger! I realize that may not bother everyone, and it's probably part of my OCD showing, so take it or leave it. I've read books in the PDA series by Milly Taiden and by other authors. If you haven't read any of them so far, you can still read this one as a stand alone. I recommend reading others in the series and by Milly Taiden. My favorite is Geek Bearing Gifts, book 2 of the PDA series.
I’m not a big fan of she hates him, she loves him romance.
It was ok. It’s really disappointing as it could have been so much better. He’s a millionaire supposed bad boy who impregnated women all over and ousted the mayor and the police chief. She goes to work for a shifter matchmaker and is sent to interview him to find his mate. She’s been treated really badly by a playboy before so thinks he’s the same. So she’s really antagonist towards him and anyone who speaks up for him. Bizarrely the whole town perpetuates the myth that he’s horrid to every reporter who goes there. It really doesn’t explain why they do that at all!!!!! The town is saved by this incredible man and they all think the press should write really bad stories on him??? It didn’t even make sense!!!! So the whole town thinks she’s a reporter and they’re really horrible to her. Even his best friend who knows that she’s s matchmaker is horrible to her. So she’s really horrible to him as she believes all that’s been written about him, without giving him a chance. Then his friends tell her the truth and she believes them. It’s just really badly written and I’m sorry to say it could have been brilliant!
Always love a PDA story. Enjoyable and entertaining but not a reread I think. Good plot and characters that just needed more polishing. Found the mother’s behaviour at the end too easy a fix. A few sessions wouldn’t make that big of a change. Found Sky’s attitude very annoying at first. Yes, she was treated rudely by everyone but to be rude in return due to her past is not nice. Pre-judging someone on newspaper articles is narrow minded. Sky does acknowledge she is doing this on a few occasions but it still grates. A couple of things jarred in the plotline of this story. I am finding Ms Taiden is rushing her stories nowadays and not taking the time to just reread them and smooth out wrinkles. This could be the BETA reader in me but I hate jumping/actions happening with no explanation/talking. Wrong word made me laugh out loud, castrate instead of castigate. This is my honest review of this book.
Amazing! This is another amazing story from Milly. This is the 27th book in the Paranormal Dating Agency series. This is Sky and Damien's story.Sky is just starting to work for Gerri as her assistant. Damien's mom went to Gerri to help find his mate. Damien is not happy, when he finds out that his mother sign him up with matchmaker. When Damien meets Sky for the first time, he wishes, that he wasn't portrayed as a heartless man by press. He wants Sky to want him cause it turns out that she is his mate. How can you not judge someone before even knowing them? Can Sky see the real Damien? Another great match Gerri Wilder never gets it wrong. I am looking forward to reading all about Gerri’s next successful pairing whenever it comes out. Can't wait to read the next book from Milly Taiden. Keep up the amazing work!

…normally, I can get into her stories but this one pissed me off. I didn’t like Sky. She was too judgmental. She took everything personally. She made no attempt to get to know Damien until his female friends (the very ones she swore he was sleeping with) told her he wasn’t that way. How do you work for a paranormal dating agency but know nothing about shifters? That’s like applying for Amazon and not knowing anything about the company.
I’m not sure if the writer had an editor but there were so many mistakes on the story (just like book 26). At one point she says Damien turns into a “Jag” when she constantly states he’s a panther. One error but it was enough to annoy me.
Then there’s the sex. I derisory do NOT know anything that says these cheesy horrible sex lines. Maybe I’m jaded in my old age. But at least give me something that doesn’t sound like a truck stop quickie.
This is Damien and Sky's story . Damien's mother meets up with Gerri hoping that Gerri can find her son a respectable mate . Sky sits in on the meeting and afterward Gerri asks her to go and interview Damien to find out what he wants in a mate . After landing she is met with one rude Eli and after lugging her own luggage to the truck and the hotel she is already fed up ! Then the customer service ?! Wow the people in this town ! Damien doesn't want his " mother " involved in anyway in his life so once he learns what she has done he sets up his own plan . After Sky misses a meeting with Damien he shows up at the hotel and I love the way she just laid into him ! Sky will learn that what she thought she knew just might not be correct ! Get ready for some unexpected things to happen ! This is an awesome story ! This is well written and recommended to all !!
Sky was excited to start her job as Gerri's assistant. Her first assignment seemed like a waste to interview the client (well, the client's son) since all the reports were less than positive. She knew about men like that. She'd been cheated on and more by enough of them. The client seemed just like the others.
Little did she know that her opinion was very important to the client. While he wasn't the playboy reported he did want a mate and family. Sky had to want him too. Yeah, she was his. Could he show her the real him and change her mind? The attraction between them is hotter than either of them can ignore.
Now he just has to make sure she is safe and she has to let him. Can they give in to their feelings?
I love this series and couldn't wait for this one to come out. Another huge winner.
In true Paranormal Dating agency fashion and Gerri Wilders style this 27th book of the series brings all of us fans a true earthly hot and steamy romantic love story. We all know by now, that when Gerri sends someone somewhere they are gonna be the one to find their mate, however, its the road getting there and all the surprises and danger along the way that, holds us captive and keeps us coming back for more. I can be in the middle of another book and see Gerri Wilders name and drop everything to see what she is up to now.....I love this series and this book of a supposed playbook panther and a unsuspecting personal assistance just doing her job brings us back to the edge of our seat once again in this an't put down book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
well you know Milly put out another great read, I love panthers and don't see them as shifters much. okay, have to say little miss thing annoyed me right from jump street *laughs* usually it takes at least by the 3rd chapter.
I saw Sky as a bit like holier than thou, yeah she's had crap for relationships but the girl has some issues. Giving her a bit of leeway, Damien didn't set himself up to be a knight in shining armor I would have gladly slapped the back of his head in the beginning.
Won't go into detail just know not everything is black and white, we have shades of grey for a reason. Humble pie is best served warm *snickers* The mom I wanted to dislike her but she had some heavy guilt she was dealing with.
All in all, wonderful story, I'll be watching a few of Damien's friend get books I hope lol, some detail some hot scenes all Milly style. Grab it and enjoy
Gerri Wilder is again on a quest to find an assistant to help her with her match making service. Along comes the very capable Sky who starts working with Gerri and as part of her duties she is asked to travel and interview Damien to match him with a potential mate. Having been treated badly in past relationships Sky has her barriers up and based on her initial research does not warm to Damien. Initially did not engage with the Damien character myself and was ready to put the book down but like Sky was reminded of that valuable lesson to not judge a book by its cover. Yet again MT wrote a wonderful story which deserves to be enjoyed by her many readers.
Received this book as an ARC opportunity and would absolutely recommend this book as a fabulous addition to the series

I've read a bunch of this author's books and generally enjoy them as a nice, fun read.. But this one? I'm about 40% through and honestly, I not only don't have any desire to continue,I have a headache. I kept waiting for just one character in this book to take their head out of their behind long enough to be the least bit likeable. I assume that eventually the MCs, his friends, and the townspeople eventually show some redeeming qualities but I'm this far in and absolutely everyone is some combination of prejudiced\obtuse\rude or straight-up a-hole.. At this point, I dislike them all so much that i really don't care if they get a HEA. I'm sure there's a story behind why everyone is acting like a horrible person but I'm so done that i have zero desire to get there. Id recommend quite a few books by this author but this is definitely not one of them.
