What was supposed to be just a fling turned much more when Chris went all in with Nikki, but now their relationship is strained with distance. Will Chris be able to find a balance between his work and his love? Is Nikki as in love with him as he is with her?



Both questions are finally answered, but not til near the end of this duet. I have to admit this second installment didn't quite grab me the way the first installment did, but I still enjoyed reading as Chris and Nikki worked out their issues. What I've liked most about this duet is Chris. He may be Hollywood's biggest, hottest star, but he's really a down to earth, humble and nice guy. Nikki was the one with the most issues actually, but it didn't really bother me as much as it might have because she felt real because of those issues. While their emotions didn't feel as intense, and their connection seemed to have dimmed from before, I am still glad I got to read this whole duet, as it's generally speaking, a good story with a likable, relatable couple.

Nikki likes her life to be structured and organised, while Chris is a workaholic and just goes with the flow. Living in different time zones creates problems, but Chris is working hard to convince Nikki to give their relationship a chance. Can they navigate around their love and work schedules? This is a well written perfect conclusion to this duet. This story is filled with heartbreak, emotion, and is a humorous and all-consuming read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

Forever with Him is the second book in the Summer Heat series by Stacy Travis, and I enjoyed this one a lot more than I enjoyed the first. Although I enjoyed this one a lot more, I never quite felt the intense emotions between the characters that I had hoped for.

Despite the fact I did not feel the emotions between the characters, I really enjoyed all that played out in this one. There was a lot of development for both characters, and I liked watching them both grow throughout. There was a realness that made it easy to be sucked in, and I came to enjoy the story a lot more than I’d anticipated after the indifference I’d felt when reading the first part of their romance.

Without a doubt, Forever with Him was a great conclusion to a story that started somewhat shaky for me.

It felt real and I felt every emotion burst-I teared-up, cried, laughed, stressed, worried, cheered..but most of all..I smiled. Love this series!! My only request, Ms. Travis, I’d like to spend Christmas..with HIM. Please.

The follow up to Stacy's novel The Summer of Him, this book gave me all the feels.

And when I say feels, I mean ALL of them.

Previously, Nikki and Chris met in France and spent two glorious, euphoric weeks together. But when the vacation ends, then what? Cue Forever With Him. The story picks up where they left off. How does a budding, new romance survive the tests of the daily grind, an opposite-coast long distance strain, oh, and the fact Chris is a megawatt movie star?

Well, in short, things get messy. Nikki has a life back in LA, where Chris is constantly called to movie sets all over the world, including Ireland. When he's not on set, he lives in NY. Not the best combo for giving a relationship a go.

This book had a great pace; at the end of each chapter, I was compelled to keep reading. I found myself sympathizing with the characters in their plight, getting annoyed at them and rooting for them all at the same time.

Stacy has done a great job bringing the realness to an age-old situation that countless couples have faced. And where life is messy, this book is not. I highly recommend this series. 5 stars from me!

I have fallen in love with Chris and Nikki and did not want the book to end. They are so in love with each other while trying to navigate life and “mess” to work out how and if they can be together.
The writing style was easy to read and I just fell into this book and let it carry me in its literary current. As in book 1, I wanted this couple to sort themselves out but also was proud that they were able to grow as individuals to navigate their course. There were a few other underlying messages about growth and relationships that were weaved in to the plot and I still need a few days to reflect on them before I can let these characters go. However I enjoyed this book immensely. Third book I have read from the author and I am looking forward to reading more.

Forever with Him is the conclusion to Chris & Nikki's story which started out as a two week fling in Paris, so that means that you HAVE TO READ The Summer of Him (Book 1) FIRST!  They were supposed to go their separate ways after Paris, and yet, somehow they're trying to make it in the US now.  He's a famous movie star who lives in New York, while she's a hard working independent woman in LA who normally doesn't  fly by the seat of her pants.  Next up is all the long distance issues that anyone would go through with an added kicker of the media who stalks him.  They definitely have fate on their side, and even the chemistry with feelings being caught, but can they survive all the long distance complications?!  Hit those one click buttons to find out!  HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I loved Nikki and Chris's story!

In book 2 of this series Nikki and Chris work out a fundamental issue for many couples: how to build a foundation that will support a growing relationship. While they can't see it, those around them do, and it's as simple as telling your partner what you want. Being open and honest with yourself and your partner. Sometimes it comes hard but Chris is so devoted to Nikki that he breaths for her. She just needs to accept it and trust him. I laughed, I cried. A HEA story that I never wanted to end!

I love the author's writing style. The writing is crisp and clean, making for a very enjoyable read, with only a few proofreading typos. Thank you, Ms. Travis!

In the previous book we got to see Nikki and Chris in France and they spend two weeks together and it was amazing, this book starts where the last one ended.
I don’t want to give to much away on this book. I shall say that things don’t go as planned as they wanted to when Nikki has a life in LA and Chris being on movie sets all over the world. So that puts a strain on there relationship. The growth that these two had made the story more compelling to me.
I cannot wait to see what the author come out with next because I know that I’m going to have to read it.

So my prediction was right: book one (260p) and two (247p) should have been combined, and bravely edited (repetitive inner monologues and extraneous details removed, spelling and grammatical errors corrected), to create one strong story. This continuation of Nikki and Chris’s romance was mostly enjoyable, however, with some real world challenges faced along the way. And yet, the path to finding a work-life balance that worked for them both was protracted to the point of utter frustration… fortunately, it was super sweet when they FINALLY got their HEA.

I would always be an arthouse movie girl. And when he spoke about action and adventure and superheroes, they all blended together in my mind into one loud, big-budget film with elaborate action scenes.
“I need you to explain why thirty-six police cars needed to collide in that last scene instead of just two. The point would have been made with two,” I said on the way to dinner.
He humored me and explained how the buildup of action scenes was the whole point. “The police cars colliding is the end result. The action is the helicopter tracking the van, the explosion on the bridge, the near death of the driver and last-minute hop on top of the police car, which then drives into a dead-end road and a major showdown. It’s an action film. Exciting action is the point.”
Then I asked him to break down how much of the film’s budget went into sets and stunt people and destruction of property. “You realize you could make ten indie films for what it costs to film one car chase.”
“Yes, I know. Ten indie films that would collectively make an entire nation want to drown its sorrows in a bucket of chardonnay... if they could see through their tears well enough to reach the bucket. I’d rather be the one riding on top of a police car on a death mission than watch a destitute mother sell her oldest child in order to feed the rest of the brood.”
“You heartless, heartless man.”
“You safe-driving, rule-following woman.”
On movies, we had to agree to disagree.

This is the final installment of Chris and Nikki. Distance has put a strain on their relationship. They need to figure out if they can work through their issues and make things work in the long run. I love that while Chris is famous, he doesn't act that way at all. He's the most down to earth man there is. Nikki is learning to navigate her issues and that's what I like about her.

While I felt like some of the connection these two had in the first book is lost between the books, I liked that the felt real. That for me added an element of dimension to this story. All in all, this was a good duet. I feel the author did a good job of making this story relatable.

Well this one stared with a bang right where the first book did. Now saying that I like how we get to see the real struggles a relationship can bring.

Now Chris has now stepped back into his world with out the break he thought to be with nikki in LA but with a few large growing pains they try to make it work. And they do make it work after all but you have to read this one to find out just how they do that.

This was ony supposed to be a fun 2 week summer fling, but Chris ended up moving across the country for Nikki. This little 2 week fling seems to be turning into a whole lot more than that! Regretfully, I found Nikki to be even more annoying in the second book than she was in the first. I still liked Chris and all the other supporting characters, but there's just something about Nikki that rubs me the wrong way. Hopefully other readers like her more, because Travis is a great author!
