Face to butt with a llama and really questioning her life choices... Keely Cole is allergic to failure. When her carefully cultivated life self-destructs, she faces the choice of returning home in shame or accepting a crazy opportunity: help a sexy shifter clear his name in exchange for free room and board in Manhattan. With his help, she can rebuild her life, but at what cost?
Seth Morgan likes the human world well enough, but he hates that he’s not there by choice. His clan banished him for a crime he didn’t commit, and Keely gives him the perfect excuse to return home by pretending to be his mate. But what starts off as a ruse quickly becomes all too real.
When his clan demands a high price, the consequences become deadly. How much will they sacrifice for the truth…or each other?
Impulsive Magic is a full-length paranormal romance novel featuring a headstrong heroine who doesn't know how to quit and a trickster hero who finally met his match.
4.5 stars. Just read this book and it was so good! Highly recommend. It was light, funny, charming. A nice little mystery in here that doesn’t get solved completely makes me want to read the next book. No OW/OM drama. Just two quirky people who have such a fun relationship. These two pretty quickly bond and like each other but enter into a fake romance. As always, I love a fake romance that gets people into forced proximity. And makes them realize that the other person is worthy of a real romance and HEA.
This is the 4th book of this series but I didn’t feel like I missed out by jumping on this one first. However, it was so good, I’m going to read all the books in this series now.
I really loved it and enjoyed the 'smarty' humour. Made for an interesting read from start to finish, and I'd welcome more of this author's style of writing.
Loved the beginning, what fun. The humour continued all through the book bringing several smiles & the occasional laugh. The magic was slightly surprising in places, but if you've already read the previous 3 then most was already known. Although Seth may be seen as a baddie, he shows more & more that he's a goodie at heart - though sometimes his way of showing it makes you want to scream. Keely brings to mind a lot of upsetting thoughts & feelings and you really want to shake her to see sense. Especially as many people can see parts of themselves in her.
Llamas, cat gods, high heels oh my! This was a great book! What I enjoy so much about this series is that it focuses on different coupled characters in the world that this author created. You don't just follow one couple's journey there's several! You start to want to know more about a different character and boom this author is like they get their own story which I love! This book focuses on Seth and Keeley which were a really fun and interesting couple.
The interactions make these characters believable and fun
The author continually gets better conveying character humor and personality in this series - rather than some books where the reader is constantly told that a character possesses a certain quality or trait (but it never really feels true), Hall instead shows that trait though well-crafted scenes and dialogue. I want these people to live down the street and run for coffee with me!
This is a sweet romance. Keely loses her job and place to live all in the same day. It can't get any worse. Wait her new shoes break! You feel her frustration and anxiety. She meets a Llama named Seth. She makes a deal with him one she hopes she won't regret. Easy and fast read. Received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
This is a fun and entertaining storyline. There are stress and anxiety mixed with humor throughout. The main character is sometimes frustrating and the reader will want to shake some sense into her, but she is likable. I found you need to read the previous books in the series to really get the most from this book. I liked it. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.
Full of light and love woven into an adventurous tale. Main characters that are flawed but grow into each other as the story develops. Sucker for a HEA, very enjoyable read.
