Thomas wanted a vacation, not a civil war.

Shina is pure feline fatale, five hundred pounds of lithe muscle, a queen among lionesses. Not some one easy to say no to.

When she offers Thomas a week of hunting with her he says yes. He knows she's after something more than company but he had no idea it would lead to a bloody civil war within the most powerful House of mages in the Awakened world. Now Thomas and his newly minted House Khatt must choose sides in conflict that could spread to all of Vegas and kill an entire city of mundanes.

Meanwhile old enemies take advantage of his distraction.

Before it is over, the lions will rain.

I was given an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book.

If you have read the other books in this series, then you won't be disappointed with this latest instalment of Freelance Familiars!

This is an action-packed adventure with all of your favourite characters and it does not disappoint.
Follow Thomas and friends as they take a vacation, make lot's of new friends and once again fight to save the world as they know it!

Daniel has once again given us a great read and a fantastic story that is well and truly a page-turner, I would be surprised if you can put this book down once you start to read it!

If this is your first foray into the Freelance Familiars world, then I do wholeheartedly suggest that you read the previous four books first, you won't regret it.

What would you do if your girlfriend was a 500 pound lioness? Why, anything she wants!! And she wants Thomas to return to Shangri-La for a 'vacation.' Thomas, O'Meara, and friends are back in a new installment of Freelance Familiars. I love the characters and I love the story-line which continues to evolve from the previous books. There is plenty of action and adventure, betrayal and political posturing, and a surprising and totally unexpected hero in the end. I received an ARC of Pride Fall for my honest review and I cannot wait for the next installment. I highly recommend this series!

And just like that...

Once again, wow! This was another excellent book in the series! Of course, I am still biased but for me, that doesn't matter; only the enjoyment and pleasure matter! The characters have really grown on me in many different ways! The story and plot are still thrilling and unpredictable! So very fantastic all around! One more book which I hope won't be the last!

Quite Possibly The Best Novel of The Series to Date!

Despite Rudy a fairly minor role in the events of the novel, there is plenty of explosive destruction and mayhem throughout the novel.

Pride Fall, A Review

Our poor Jowles has had various adventures, and there's been a battle. Rockets, bombs, fire, ice, and death. The winner is not always clear, but Thomas endures.

Is this the end? No more tails of Thomas, Rudy and the rest of the freelancers???

I seriously enjoyed this fantasy series, and Pride Fall was just as enjoyable as the rest of the menagerie.

Good

I like the unusual character of using animals as the main protagonists. Also a lot of tongue in cheek humor to amuse.

A Fun Continuation

The adventure continues in Las Vegas. If you've made it this far through Thomas's tale, you'll certainly want to check this part out as well.
