Es tan corta esta novela que no se muy bien que decir de ella. Me gusto ( como suele pasarme con Sarina Bowen ) pero extrañe que tuviera mas paginas, todo termina justo en el momento mas interesante, aun asi, me agrado.

Leído dentro de la antología Summer fling, este relato cortisimo parece más un capítulo introductorio del libro número 5 de la serie Brooklyn que un relato con entidad propia. No está mal pero tampoco es nada del otro jueves. Aún así es Sarina Bowen y salen jugadores de hockey, por lo que le daré una oportunidad a esta serie.

This is a fun little extra for fans of the Brooklyn Bruisers series. It’s a quick story showing us the first meeting of Tank and Bess (from Sure Shot), and the night that started everything between them.
It’s steamy, but pretty fast moving so there’s not a whole lot of emotion there, that comes in their full-length novel which is a gorgeously emotional second-chance-romance.
You can read this one either before or after Sure Shot, I read it after and enjoyed revisiting these characters.

If you haven’t read Sure Shot, it’s the perfect introduction. It could be considered a sort of prologue. If you have read Sure Shot, it’s the perfect bonus, an extra Bess and Mark fix.
In any case, it’s wonderful. It tells the story of how Bess and Mark met nine years ago, when they were both starting their respective careers in New York City. It’s sweet, funny and steamy.

This makes me so sad. This is a prequel to Bess and Tank’s story, Sure Shot, and it ends with both of them very happy. What goes wrong? They meet 9 years later!!!!! I’m dying to find out. This was very short and sweet. It definitely left me wanting more.

This was a good addition to the Sure Shot story.
I was curious to know more about Bess and Tank first encounter and it was particularly hot and funny.

It’s been 3 years since I have read anything from this series and I forgot how enticing this one is!! I can’t wait to dive into “Tank” and Bess’ story!!

This was a quick, cute read with some steaminess. I didn’t necessarily feel any chemistry between Bessie and Tank. If I hadn’t already been planning on reading Sure Shot, and the other books in the series, this wouldn’t have made me want to read them.

This was a short story, I thought from Amazon, but maybe not? Maybe it was a download from the author? Anyway, a really short story. Like only 3 or 4 chapters? Left hanging? But not in a bad way, just in a very basic, okay, now where is the full story way? I would have to pick up the book in the series that this goes with. And I hope to do that some day. I sat and read this one very quickly in the waiting room while my mom was getting her eye exam this past month.

Great prequel to Sure Shot. I already read Sure Shot and I really enjoyed reading about Tank and Bess' meeting/beginning. This is one hot teaser if you haven't read SS.

This is a quick intro of Bess and Tank. Bess has just turned 21yrs old and meets Tank at a work dinner, sparks fly and the pair hook up. Bess is quite timid and Tank is the one with all the experience. An enjoyable read before starting their story.

This kinda bugged me. Like, it's fine to do a prequel and all but... it didn't feel like one? It felt like I was reading the first chapter of a book and then... cut... go and buy the actual book to get the story?
Annoyed me. A lot.
I enjoyed Bess and Tank and their relationship has a lot of potential and I am intrigued but the abrupt end and all... this could have been solved waaaaay smoother and better tbh.

Since I've already read Sure Shot, this brief novella really didn't offer anything I didn't already know. Aside from her interactions with coworkers, it's all stuff that was already covered pretty explicitly in Sure Shot. But, hey, it was free and super short, so what did I expect? Bowen's one of my favorite authors. Two stars for okay. Doesn't mean it's bad, just that there's not much to it.

This was free on Amazon, so I picked it up. It was a cute entry to Tank and Bess' story, how they met and their brief history. Their past is brief encounter is mentioned and explained in Sure Shot, this this was a bit unnecessary, but did I mention it was free!

Lucky shot se déroule 9 ans avant les événements du tome 4 de la saga et nous retrouvons les deux héros qui nous ont tant fait rire. Bessie fait ses premiers dans un univers très masculin et elle n'a pas envie de commettre de faux pas même si elle connaît certains points vu que son frère joue lui aussi au hockey. C'est une jeune femme dynamique qui va lâcher prise une seule nuit et qui ne le regrettera pas .

Well that was fun. I just finished Sure Shot last night. I thought this was the follow up, instead it’s the precursor to Sure Shot. But that was okay even though a lot of it was taken right from Sure Shot. It’s very short but I enjoyed the whole thing! I mean what’s not to love about any Sarina Bowen book? Or short story?

A cute quick prequel for Sure Shot, #4 in Bowen's Brooklyn series.
I had some logistical problems. I started with the free audio from Soundwise and quickly learned that you can't adjust the playback speed. 1x is just too slow for me! And then I had connection problems, so I gave it up and finished by reading the Kindle version.
